Generally, you will be responsible for all costs associated with a claim under this warranty, however, where you have suffered any additional direct loss as a result of a defective product you may be able to claim such expenses by contacting our customer service helpline above.

5 YEAR REPLACEMENT WARRANTY
Your Product is guaranteed for a period of 60 months from the original date of purchase and is intended for DIY (Do It Yourself) use only. If a product is defective it will be replaced in accordance with the terms of this warranty. Lithium-Ion batteries and chargers are covered by a 36-month Warranty excludes consumable parts, for example: and included accessories.

SETUP & PREPARATION

ASSEMBLY

WARNING!: ENSURE THE TOOL IS SWITCHED OFF AND THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED BEFORE PERFORMING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING TASKS.

Fitting the Additional Handle

1. Unscrew the two knobs on the handle and separate the handle from the bracket.
   Place the top half in position and secure in place with the bracket on the underside and the two knobs.

2. Tighten the two knobs to hold the additional handle in position.

Note: To adjust the position, simply loosen the two knobs sufficiently to allow handle adjustment into the desired position, then tighten the two knobs to secure in place.

Adjusting the Working Height
For transport reasons, the Main Handle is at 90° to the brush housing. To ensure that you have a comfortable working position, the main handle must be aligned with the brush housing and the length of the Telescopic Shaft can be adjusted.

1. Turn the Lock Nut anti-clockwise to loosen and turn the Main Handle 90° into alignment with the brush housing.
2. To change the working height, extended the Telescopic Shaft to the desired height and then retighten the Lock Nut by turning it clockwise.

CLEANING BRUSHES

• WARNING!: THE SURFACES MUST BE SUITABLE FOR CLEANING USING ROTATING BRUSHES. FOR WET CLEANING THE SURFACES MUST ALSO BE  INSENSITIVE TO WATER.
  WARNING! : SENSITIVE, POLISHED, COATED AND SCRATCH-SENSITIVE SURFACES CAN BECOME ROUGHENED AND/OR GET DAMAGED. THIS  EQUIPMENT MUST NOT BE USED TO CLEAN SUCH SURFACES.
  WARNING!: THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY FROM THE BRISTLES – WEAR SAFETY GLOVES.
  Use only the brush which is intended to be used for the surface you want to clean. Test the brush for suitability on an inconspicuous area first before using it each time.  Different brushes for different surfaces are available as separate accessories. Only use water without any additives whatsoever.
  Note: Worn or frayed brushes should be replaced in good time. Replace the brush as soon as its diameter is less than approx. 95 mm. A brush diameter of any less can lead to damage.
  • Medium Nylon Brush – Black
  This brush is specifically suitable for cleaning unsealed paver and stone surfaces. It can therefore also be used for cleaning surfaces that are paved with paving stones/concrete blocks or concreted surfaces (e.g. driveways, decks, paths). The side brush can be used for cleaning perimeters and bases. Diameter: 115mm. Working width: 215mm
  Cleaning smooth unsealed paver and stone surfaces

• Brush in a forward direction only, the standard direction of rotation.

• In case of certain kinds of stubborn dirt, it can be helpful to clean using both directions of rotation. Please note that when the equipment is in reverse, it has less power.

• To clean perimeters and bases, remove the wide side cover and clean them using the side brush.

• Afterward, rinse the cleaned surface down with water.

• Soft Nylon Brush – Yellow/Green

• This brush also be used for cleaning wood, composite materials such as Bamboo Plastic Composite (BPC) and Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) or for brushing (e.g. flattened areas) artificial turf to raise it upright, as used in the home where it is installed, for example, on balconies or decks. Diameter: 115mm. Working width: 195mm

Cleaning wood, composite materials(BPC/WPC)

• Always clean the boards or wooden elements in a longitudinal direction (along the grain).
• Brush in a forward direction only, the standard direction of rotation.
• It is recommended that you clean on a board-by-board basis.
• Afterward, rinse the cleaned surface down with water.

Brushing artificial turf

• Do not use water – dry-brush only.
• Brush in a forward direction only, the standard direction of rotation.
• Remove all leaves, rubbish and similar before starting brushing.

• Ultra Metal Brush (accessory)
This brush can be used for cleaning robust surfaces such as, e.g. paving stones/ concrete blocks, concreted surfaces, granite or porphyry to remove stubborn dirt.
Rough, unsealed paving stones, concrete blocks and concrete surfaces

• Brush in a forward direction only, standard direction of rotation.
• In case of certain kinds of stubborn dirt, it can be helpful to clean using both directions of rotation. Please note that when the equipment is in reverse, it has less power.  Afterward, rinse the cleaned surface down with water.
• Not suitable for polished, ground or sealed natural/artificial stone surfaces.

Fitting and Removing the Cleaning Brushes
WARNING!: ENSURE THE TOOL IS SWITCHED OFF AND THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED BEFORE PERFORMING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING TASKS.
WARNING! : THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY FROM THE BRISTLES – WEAR SAFETY GLOVES.

1. Remove Brush Covers from each end of the brush housing.
2. The Medium Nylon Brush (black) is supplied with a side brush. Each of the brushes have Rubber Caps on the outside.
3. Slot the nylon brush with side brush onto the brush mount on either the left or right side according to your requirements and the other nylon brush onto the other brush mount.
4. Attach the brush covers back in place. The wider brush cover is used with the Medium Nylon Brush with the side brush.
5. The Soft Nylon Brush (yellow/green) and the Ultra Metal Brush is fitted the same way, but do not have a side brush. In this case, both a narrow brush, covers must be used.
6. To remove brushes, first remove both Brush Covers on the sides. Press the middle of the Rubber Caps to release and pull the brush to remove at the same time.

PREPARATION

Water Inlet Connector
WARNING!: ENSURE BOTH THE WATER SUPPLY AND THE TOOL IS SWITCHED OFF AND THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED BEFORE CONNECTING  AND DISCONNECTING THE WATER HOSE.
TAKE CARE NOT TO SPRAY WATER INTO THE MOTOR VENTS ON THE SIDE OF THE MOTOR HOUSING. IF ANY WATER DOES GET IT, LEAVE IN A  COOL DRY PLACE TO COMPLETELY DRY OUT BEFORE SWITCHING THE TOOL ON.

To achieve top cleaning results quickly, use wet cleaning. Hose not included. This Surface Brush requires a pressurized water source with a maximum pressure of 87 psi (6 bar).  It is recommended that a reinforced garden hose (with a minimum diameter of 12mm) is used for the inlet connection. It cannot be used with a bucket and siphon.

1. Run water through your garden hose to remove any foreign matter before attaching to the water inlet. Note: Do not use water that is dirty, gritty or contains any chemical products, as these could impair the operation and shorten the life of the Surface Brush.
2.  Pass a water hose (minimum Ø13mm (½“), through the Additional, Handle and attach to the Water Inlet Connector on the unit. Secure the hose to the Telescopic Shaft with provided Hose Clip.
   Note : Always use a reinforced hose with a standard hose coupling for the water inlet.

Water Control Valve
The Water Control Valve can be fitted on the Water Inlet Connector before attaching your hose. The Water Control Valve can be opened or in the closed position as required to control the flow of water to the cleaning brush.

Inserting & Removing the Battery

1. Align the ribs of the battery with the battery mount and slide in until it clicks into place
2. To remove, press and hold the battery release tab and then slide out.

WARNING!: ONLY INSERT THE BATTERY JUST BEFORE YOU START YOUR WORK AND REMOVE IT AGAIN WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED.
WARNING!: TAKE CARE NOT TO EXPOSE THE BATTERIES TO ANY WATER DURING USE. THE BATTERY MUST NEVER BE SUBMERGED IN WATER.
WHEN NOT IN USE, THE BATTERY SHOULD BE STORED IN A COOL AND DRY PLACE. IF THE BATTERY IS HEAVILY SPRAYED WITH WATER OR  ACCIDENTALLY SUBMERGED, STOP USING THE BATTERY IMMEDIATELY.

OPERATION

CONTROLS

Direction Lever
Using the Direction Lever you can select the direction of rotation of the cleaning brush and lock it so that it cannot be switched on accidentally. You can select between forward and reverse rotation. Forward is the standard direction of rotation, with which the unit has the most power.
Note: Hold the Surface Brush firmly by the handle and additional handle and make sure you have a steady standing position.
Note: To avoid causing damage to the Surface Brush, the direction of rotation must only be changed when the cleaning brush is at a standstill.

1. Forward – standard direction of rotation: Push Direction Lever hard left. The Surface Brush pulls away from you.
2. Safety Lock-off: Direction Lever in the middle position. On/Off Trigger locked.
3. Reverse: Push Direction Lever hard right. The Surface Brush moves towards you.

Switching On and Off
WARNING!: KEEP YOUR HANDS AND FEET AWAY FROM THE ROTATING CLEANING BRUSH.

1. To switch ON, squeeze the On/Off Trigger, the cleaning brush will rotate.
2. To stop the cleaning brush rotating, release the On/Off Trigger.

Variable Speed Dial
To adjust the speed of the cleaning brush, rotate the variable speed dial. This allows the speed to be adjusted to the particular surface being cleaned.
|The dial is marked
MIN = slowest \ MAX = highest.
“1” to “5”. setting to indicate the set speed.

USING THE SURFACE BRUSH

WARNING! : THE BRUSH COVERS ON THE SIDE MUST BE FITTED SECURELY BEFORE USE.
WARNING! ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE FITTED THE BRUSH WHICH IS INTENDED TO BE USED FOR THE SURFACE YOU WANT TO CLEAN.
WARNING! THE SURFACE TO BE CLEANED MUST BE FREE OF OBJECTS SUCH AS STONES, TWIGS, ETC. THESE COULD BE FLUNG UP BY THE  ROTATING BRUSH OR SCRATCH THE SURFACE.
WARNING! LIFT THE SURFACE BRUSH 1-2 CENTIMETRES OFF THE GROUND WHEN YOU SWITCH IT ON, BUT ONLY UNTIL IT HAS REACHED
FULL SPEED. TAKE CARE WHEN DOING SO IN ORDER TO PREVENT INJURIES.

• Inspect the brushes to check them for dirt before you start your cleaning work and clean them if necessary.
• Carry out a test run on a small area that is not very visible to check that brushing does not damage the surface.
• Only use by guiding it over the ground in a vertical position, it should not be used in a horizontal position (e.g. walls) or overhead (e.g. ceiling). It must not be used for unmade/unpaved surfaces (e.g. grass pavers).

WARNING! ALWAYS WEAR ADEQUATE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING WHEN OPERATING THE SURFACE BRUSH TO AVOID INJURIES TO THE FACE, EYES,  HANDS, FEET, AND HEARING.
Cleaning in General (Not artificial turf)

1. Hold the Surface Brush firmly with both hands, ensure the brush is evenly on the surface.
2. Set the working height to the one which is most comfortable for you (see Adjusting the Working Height). The Splash Guard must just clear the ground on both sides.
3. Select the correct direction of rotation (see Direction Lever) for the surface you want to clean (observe Cleaning Brushes section 2).
4. To achieve top cleaning results quickly, we recommend wet cleaning. Open the water inlet.
5. Lift the equipment 1-2 centimeters and switch on the Surface Brush (see Switching On and Off).
6. Set the desired speed (from slow to fast) (see Variable Speed Dial). Wait until the full speed has been reached and then place the brush on the surface to be cleaned.
7. Guide the brush slowly and in lines, similar to a broom, over the surface. Only apply a small amount of pressure at first and then increase it little by

Brushing Artificial Turf

1. Place the Soft Nylon Brush evenly on the surface.

2. Set the working height to the one which is most comfortable for you (see Adjusting the Working Height). The Splash Guard must just clear the ground on both sides.

3.  Push Direction Lever hard left. (standard direction of rotation).

4. Lift the equipment 1-2 centimetres and switch on the Surface Brush (see Switching On and Off).

5. Set the desired speed (from slow to fast) (see Variable Speed Dial).
   Wait until the full speed has been reached and then place the brush on the artificial turf. The Surface Brush will pull away from you.

6. To raise the fibres upright, brush against the direction of the fibres of the artificial turf once the desired speed has been reached. Do not exert any pressure.

7. If required, draw the brush towards you and let it roll away without pressure.

8. Repeat this movement until the desired result has been achieved.

Overload protection
When the Surface Brush is overloaded, e.g by pressing too strongly, the Surface Brush switches off automatically and must be switched on again by squeezing the On/Off Trigger.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING!: ENSURE THE TOOL IS SWITCHED OFF AND THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED BEFORE PERFORMING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING TASKS.
Cleaning, maintenance, and storing Cleaning
• Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it down with compressed air at  low pressure.
• We recommend cleaning the equipment immediately each time after use.
• Clean the equipment regularly with a damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these may be aggressive to the plastic parts in the equipment. Ensure that no water can get into the interior of the equipment. The ingress of water into a battery power tool increases the risk of an electric shock.
• Remove the safety guard and remove any deposits using a brush.
Maintenance
• There are no other parts inside the equipment which require maintenance
Storage
Store the equipment and its accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30 °C. Store the electric
equipment in its original packaging.
Do not bend the rubber lips of the splash guard outwards. Store the equipment in such a way that the rubber lips are not in contact with the floor/ground as far as possible.
Note: Ozito Industries will not be responsible for any damage or injuries caused by the repair of the Surface Brush by an unauthorized person or by mishandling of the blower vac. This tool is designed for DIY use – use in commercial or industrial environments will void the warranty.
Battery protection system
The tool is equipped with a battery protection system, which helps to ensure long service life.
The output power automatically cuts off during operation when the tool and/or battery are placed under the following situations:
• When the tool is overloaded:
If this occurs, turn off and remove causes of overload, then turn on again to restart.
• When the remaining battery capacity becomes low:
Recharge the battery pack.
Note : The battery protection system does not in any way damage the tool.
Note: The indicated capacity may be lower than the actual level during use or immediately after using the tool.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

WARNING! When using mains-powered tools, basic safety precautions, including the following should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, personal injury, and material damage.
Read the whole manual carefully and make sure you know how to switch the tool off in an emergency, before operating the tool.
Save these instructions and other documents supplied with this tool for future reference.
Before you connect the charger to the mains supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to the mains data.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an electrician or a power tool repairer in order to avoid a hazard.
The power supply for this product’s charger should be protected by a residual current device (rated at 30mA or less). A residual current device reduces the risk of electric shock.

GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS

** WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1. Work area safety
a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks that may ignite dust or fumes.
c. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2. Electrical safety
a. Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f. If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
3. Personal safety
a. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energizing power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g. If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
4. Power tool use and care
a. Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e. Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged,  have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5. Battery tool use and care
a. Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
b. Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
c. When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
d. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
e. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
f. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130 °C may cause an explosion.
g. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
6. Service**
a. Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
b. Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only be performed by the manufacturer or authorized service provider.

SURFACE BRUSH SAFETY WARNINGS

2. The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse.
3. Use only the brush which is intended to be used for the surface you want to clean.
4. Use the surface brush only in daylight or good artificial light.
5. Only use water without any additives whatsoever.
6. Use only the manufacturer’s recommended replacement parts and accessories.
7. Always remove the battery from the surface brush when leaving the surface brush unattended.
8. Always remove the battery from the surface brush before carrying out maintenance or cleaning work.
9. Never use damaged brushes
10. Surface brush should be stored in suitable racks, containers or boxes in such a manner that they are protected against
    the effect of:

1. High humidity heat, water or other liquids which might cause damage to the brush;
   2 Exposure to acids, or fumes from acids, which might induce deterioration;
2. Any temperature low enough to cause condensation on the brush when removed from storage to an area of higher temperature;
3. Distortion of any of the brush components.

BATTERY & CHARGER SAFETY WARNINGS

Before using the charger or battery read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery pack and the product using the battery pack. Do not lose these safety instructions.
Battery Warnings

1.  The battery pack is not fully charged out of the carton. First read the safety instructions and then follow the charging notes and procedures.

2. For optimum battery performance avoid low discharge cycles. Charge the battery pack frequently.

3.  Use and store the battery pack in dry conditions with low humidity between 0-50°C, ideally at 15°C. Avoid exposing battery pack and charger to direct sunlight.

4. Do not keep battery pack in places where temperatures are liable to reach over 50°C, such as in a car, metal shed or similar that is in direct sunlight.

5. Do not ignite the battery pack or expose it to fire. There is a risk of explosion!

6. Do not exhaustively discharge batteries. The exhaustive discharge will damage the battery cells. The most common cause of exhaustive discharge is long-term storage and continued use of low-charge batteries. Always store the battery with some charge. Charge the batteries every 2-3 months to restore charge. Stop working as soon as the performance of the battery falls noticeably or the electronic protection system triggers.

7. Protect batteries and the tool from overloads. Overloads will quickly result in overheating and cell damage inside the battery housing without this overheating being apparent externally.

8. Avoid damage and shocks. Do not use batteries that have been dropped from a height of more than one meter or strong external impact, even if the housing of the battery pack appears to be undamaged. The battery cells inside the battery may have suffered serious damage.

9. If the battery pack suffers overloading and overheating, the integrated protective cut-off will switch off the equipment. Do not press the ON/OFF switch on the tool if the  protective cut-off has actuated. This may damage the battery pack. Allow the battery to cool to room temperature before use.

10. Use only original battery packs. The use of other batteries may result in injuries, explosions and a fire risk.

11. Protect your rechargeable battery against moisture, rain and high humidity. Moisture, rain and high humidity can cause dangerous cell damage. Never charge or use batteries that have been exposed to moisture, rain or high humidity.

12. Never attempt to open the battery pack for any reason. If the plastic housing of the battery pack is damaged, do not use the battery.

13. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

14.  Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If accidental contact occurs, flush with water and seek medical help immediately. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

15. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.

16. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130°C may cause explosion.

17. Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only be performed by the manufacturer.

18. Do not disassemble Battery. This may result in a risk of electric shock, electrocution or fire.
    Charger Warnings

19. Please check the date marked on the rating plate of the battery charger. Ensure to only connect the battery charger to a power supply with the voltage marked on the rating plate.

20. Protect the battery charger and its cable from damage and sharp edges. Have damaged cables repaired by an authorized service agent before use.

21. Keep the battery charger, batteries and the cordless tool out of children’s reach.

22. Do not use damaged battery chargers.

23. Do not use the supplied battery charger to charge other cordless tools. Only charge Ozito Power X Change rechargeable batteries with an Ozito Power X Change Charger.

24.  The battery pack may become warm during use. Allow the battery pack to cool to room temperature before commencing with the charging.

25. Do not over-charge batteries. Do not exceed the maximum charging times. These charging times only apply to discharged batteries. Frequent insertion of a charged or partly charged battery pack will result in over-charging and cell damage. Do not leave fully charged batteries in the charger.

26. Charge the battery pack in dry conditions with low humidity between 10-40°C. Avoid exposing the battery pack and charger to direct sunlight.

27.  Do not use batteries that have suffered deformation during the charging process or shows any other signs of abnormalities including, excessive curvature of the housing,  gassing, hissing or cracking.

28. Never fully discharge the battery pack. A complete discharge of the battery pack will lead to premature ageing of the battery cells.

29. Never charge the batteries unsupervised.

30. Do not cover or place any object on top of the charger, place the charger away from heat sources.

31. To reduce risk of damage to the electric plug and cord, pull by the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting the charger.

32. Make sure the cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.

33. An extension cord should not be used unless necessary. Use of an improper extension cord could result in the risk of fire, electric shock or electrocution.

34. Do not disassemble charger. This may result in a risk of electric shock, electrocution or fire.

35. To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug the charger from the outlet before attempting any cleaning. Removing the battery pack will not reduce this risk.

36. Do not use the cordless tool or the battery charger near vapors and inflammable liquids.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Using an Extension Lead
Always use an approved extension lead suitable for the power input of this tool. Before use, inspect the extension lead for signs of damage, wear and aging. Replace the extension lead if damaged or defective.
When using an extension lead on a reel, always unwind the lead completely. Use of an extension lead not suitable for the power input of the tool or which is damaged or defective may result in a risk of fire and electric shock.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, we recommend the use of a residual current device (rated 30mA or less).
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

OPERATION

Only use the battery pack with Ozito Power X Change 18V cordless products.
CHARGING YOUR LITHIUM-ION BATTERY
This battery has been shipped in a low charge condition and requires charging prior to use. Allow several cycles of charging and discharging (through use with a compatible
tool) for the battery to reach its optimum performance/runtime.
This battery is compatible with chargers from the 18V Ozito Power X Change range available through your local Bunnings Warehouse. Product availability may differ.

1. Insert the power plug of the charger into the mains socket outlet. The green LED will begin to flash when properly connected to the power supply.
2. Insert the battery pack into the battery charger.
3. Remove the battery from the charger once fully charged. Disconnect the charger from the power supply.

Note: The battery pack can become a little warm during the charging. This is normal. If the battery pack fails to charge, check: if there is the voltage at the socket-outlet
that the battery and charger are properly connected.
If the battery pack still fails to charge, please contact our customer service center.
BATTERY CHARGE INDICATOR

The purchased battery is equipped with a battery charge indicator to show the state of the battery charge.
Press the charge indicator button and look to see which LED lights.
The battery requires immediate charging
Low state of charge, requires charging soon.
Mid-state of charge
Full state of charge.
Note: The battery needs to be removed from the tool to check the state of charge.
BATTERY PROTECTION SYSTEM
The tool is equipped with a battery protection system, which helps to ensure the longevity of the battery.
The output power automatically cuts off during operation when the tool and/or battery are placed under the following situations:
• When the tool is overloaded:
If this occurs, release the trigger switch and remove causes of overload, then pull the switch trigger again to restart.
• When the remaining battery capacity becomes low:

Recharge the battery pack.
Note: The battery protection system does not in any way damage the tool.
Note: The indicated capacity may be lower than the actual level during use or immediately after using the tool.

1. CHARGING A BATTERY

1. Connect the charger to the power supply and the LED will flash green showing power is being supplied to the charger.
   

2. Align and then slide the ribs on the battery into the recess in the charger.
   

3. The red LED will illuminate while the battery charges.
   

4. The green LED will illuminate once the battery is charged.

Mounting The Charging Unit On A Wall

The charging unit can be mounted to a wall or workbench.
The correct dimensions for drill holes can be found on the back of the charging unit; a template for the mounting hole locations can also be found on the Ozito website.
Note: When mounting on a wall you must use suitable screws, e.g.M3 pan- head screws, in order to prevent damage to the housing and risk of falling.

MAINTENANCE

•  Disconnect the charger from the power source before cleaning.
• Keep the charger in a dry place out of reach of children.
• If the enclosure of the charger requires cleaning, do not use solvents. Use a dry, soft cloth only to wipe down the surface. Never let any liquid get inside the charger; never immerse any part of the charger.
• There are no other parts inside the charger that require maintenance. Do not take the charger apart. If the charger is damaged, contact your supplier or the manufacturer.
