PRIOR TO INSTALLATION

Remove old shower head and remove all pipe tape. • Ensure that the washer from the old shower is not connected to the shower pipe. Use a thin utensil to check inside the shower pipe for washers, such as a pencil or screw driver. Do not use your fingers.

TOOLS YOU MAY NEED

INSTALLATION

  1. Slide the large nut over the shower pipe so that it rests on horizontal part of the shower pipe and is clear of the threaded end.

  2. Make sure the rubber washer is present in pivot ball. Hand tighten pivot ball onto shower pipe.

  3. With an adjustable wrench or pliers, tighten pivot ball an additional ¼ to ½ turn. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.

  4. Thread the large nut to the bracket, holding bracket in position. The large nut tightens when turned clockwise as viewed from the front of the bracket.

  5. Locate one of the hose ends with rubber ring and attach it to the bottom of the bracket by turning clockwise. Make sure rubber washer is in place inside the connector. Hand tighten.

  6. Connect the other end of the hose to the handle of the shower head making sure rubber washer is in place inside connector. Hand tighten. Place shower head in the bracket as shown.

WARNINGS:

Vacuum Breaker Backflow Prevention

Note: Several U.S. state and local municipal plumbing codes require the use of a backflow prevention device when installing a hand shower. This device is termed a vacuum breaker. If your hand shower includes a vacuum breaker it will be located in the hose, and the hose end with the vacuum breaker will include a sticker that reads “attach this vacuum breaker end to shower bracket.” If the hose is not installed in this manner, water will not flow. If your hand shower does not include a vacuum breaker, and you would like to obtain one free of charge, please contact us at 1-800-525-2774 (U.S. calls only) and request part number 20009558

OPERATION

Spray Selector:
To choose your spray pattern, move the small lever at the base of the face right or left. This model was specially designed for shorter distance between modes to make it easier to reach all settings with one handed operation. The selector is sensitive and may take some practice, but after several uses, you should be able to find your desired settings more easily.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Qwik-Pause™ Lever: To pause the flow (to a trickle) at any time during your shower, simply push the Qwik-Pause lever toward the shower pipe as shown. To return to normal flow, simply pull the lever back toward you. Pausing the water flow is an effective way to conserve water and energy in your daily routine. When in pause, some water will continue to trickle from the shower as required by U.S., state, and local municipal plumbing codes.

Pause Setting:

There is also an alternate pause in the shower head spray settings that is useful when bathing children or pets and you cannot reach the bracket. Move the mode selector all the way to the left to pause the flow to a trickle as needed. Simply move the lever in the other direction to return to normal settings.

WARNINGS:

  1. To avoid hot water dangers and conserve even more energy, make sure your water heater is set at 120°F (48.9°C) or below.
  2. Test the tub/shower water with your hand before bathing.
  3. For additional safety for Ecoflow® or high efficiency shower heads, it is recommended that all homes have installed a pressure balance tub and shower valve with the rotational limit stops properly set by a plumber.
  4. For external use only. The potentially deadly amoeba, Naegleria fowleri, may be present in some tap water or unchlorinated well water.
  5. Always ensure the hand held shower head is properly placed in the bracket, so as to prevent the shower head from falling.
  6. Do not pull on or tug the flexible hose. This may result in the shower head coming loose and falling.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Problem Solution
No water flow from installed shower head. a   Confirm previous shower washer

is not in the shower pipe.

b   Confirm there is only one washer in the pivot ball.

c   Check both hose ends to clear any blockage.

d   Make sure Qwik-Pause lever is not activated. Pull lever toward front of bracket for full flow.

Low water pressure or missing spray patterns.| a   Clean shower head in vinegar/water solution. (See care & cleaning section).

b   Clean filter screen.

Leaking at pipe pivot ball connection.| a   Confirm only one washer is seated on top of the screen.

b   Grate bar of soap across the shower pipe threads to act as a sealant.

Loose Bracket| a Tighten large nut more securely so shower stays in position.

b Check inside the large nut for a large plastic ring. Note: the ring is tapered. Make sure the ring is installed correctly. The smooth surfaced side of the ring should face towards the pipe inside the large nut and will snap into place when properly installed.
