Operating elements
INPUT: XLR input socket
OUTPUT: XLR output socket
Using the device
- Connect the microphone whose signals are to be preamplified to the XLR input socket (INPUT).
- Connect the device that is to process the preamplified signals to the output socket (OUTPUT) using a balanced XLR cable. This device must provide the phantom blocker with 48 V phantom power.
The phantom blocker will not work without it. The phantom power is not routed to the microphone, ideal for use with dynamic or ribbon microphones. However, use with condenser microphones or other microphones that require phantom power due to a built-in preamplifier is not possible.
