Product Information
The Konnected JoeTM Element Plug is a replacement part for your grill that allows you to connect and disconnect the heating element from the wire harness. The element plug kit comes with all the necessary hardware and instructions for installation.
Safety Precautions
Before using the Konnected JoeTM Element Plug, please read and follow these important safety precautions:
- Turn off the grill and ensure that it is cool to the touch before attempting to remove or replace any parts.
- Wear protective gloves when handling the heating element to prevent burns.
- Ensure that the grill is placed on a stable surface and cannot tip over while you are working on it.
Product Usage Instructions
Follow these instructions carefully to install the Konnected JoeTM Element Plug:
- Turn off the grill and allow it to cool before beginning the installation process.
- From under the grill, remove the three screws and wire harness cover.
- Unplug the old element from the wire harness. Identify the element wire by its yellow and white color.
- Remove the two acorn nuts from the element mounting plate.
- Lift the old element straight up and out of the grill with extreme caution. You may need to hold down the element bracket lightly to remove it from the bracket.
- Remove the charcoal grate from the grill.
- Remove the old element plug kit from the grill.
- Install the new element plug kit in reverse order by following steps 1 through 7 in reverse order. Make sure to securely tighten the acorn nuts and screws to ensure proper installation.
- Once the new element plug kit is installed, test the grill to ensure that it is functioning properly before use.

CAUTION – SAFETY PRECAUTIONS – READ BEFORE USE
- Make sure your grill has fully cooled before handling to avoid burns.
- Some components may have sharp edges. Use caution to avoid injury.
- Disconnect the power supply from the grill before handling.
From under the grill, remove the 3 screws and the wire harness cover.
Unplug the element from the wire harness. The element wire can be identified with the yellow and white wire.
Remove the 2 acorn nuts from the element mounting plate. Then, with extreme
caution, lift the element straight up and out of the grill.
( NOTE – you may need to lightly hold down the element bracket to remove
the element from the bracket).
Remove the charcoal grate from the grill
Remove the element plug kit from the grill
Repeat the steps in reverse order to install the new element plug kit.
