CORELLA Helmet for Cyclists

HELMET FOR CYCLISTS – INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

This is a helmet for cyclists providing protection for the top of the user’s head. Suitable for
cycling or scooter riding. This product is personal protective equipment whose primary
function is to protect the top of the user’s head from hazards that may arise during cycling
and scooter riding activities. The device protects the head from impacts where part of the
impact energy is absorbed by the helmet, thereby reducing the impact energy to which the
head is exposed. The protection provided by the helmet depends on the circumstances
surrounding the injury and cannot always protect against injury. The helmet only protects if
it is well seated on the head. The buyer must try on di…erent sizes and choose a helmet that
ts his or her head securely and comfortably. With the help of spare padding (not applicable
for integral helmets), the internal size can be adjusted to the optimum shape. The helmet
must be adapted to the user. Correct routing of the strap under the chin without covering the
ears is essential. The buckle, when properly adjusted, should t snugly and comfortably
under the chin (away from the jaw) so that the helmet stays on the head in the event of a fall.
The straps and buckle must be comfortably and rmly adjusted. The helmet must not be
worn too far back and must t so as to protect the front of the head. Original helmet
components must not be removed or altered under any circumstances. Do not expose the
helmet to temperatures exceeding 60°C, do not clean with synthetic agents (lukewarm water
is suˆcient). Helmets damaged by a fall must no longer be used! The helmet must not be
used for activities other than those for which it is intended (do not use when riding a
motorcycle)! Warning! This helmet is not to be used by children when climbing and other
activities in which there is a risk of strangulation/hanging by the helmet in the event of a
child falling! Never pull over the stop when adjusting the wheel! If the helmet has been
subjected to a severe impact the damaged piece must be replaced and disposed of. Select the
correct helmet size according to the head circumference in cm. The above also applies to
integral cycle helmets with regard to their construction and specication. We declare that
this cycle helmet complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European Parliament and of
the Council of 9 March 2016 on personal protective equipment. Notied body involved in the
conformity assessment of PPE; Telecation BV, Edisonstraat 12A, 6902 PK Zevenaar,

Correct t of the helmet (points 1 and 2 do not apply to integral

helmets):

  1. Look upwards to make sure you can only see the edge of the helmet.
  2. The side straps should be attached just below the ears, in the shape of a ‘Y’.
  3. When you fasten the strap and open your mouth wide, you should feel the helmet pulling down.
