Safety Precautions
Safety Is Your Responsibility!
WARNING: RISK OF INJURY!
Do not stand directly behind the car while driving to avoid personal injury
from rocks, sticks, or other thrown objects, especially during full throttle
starts. Keep any spectators and animals at a safe distance. Wearing eye
protection is recommended.
WARNING! CAUTION! DANGER! FIRE HAZARD!
CHARGING AND DISCHARGING BATTERIES HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR FIRE, EXPLOSION,
SERIOUS INJURY, AND PROPERTY DAMAGE IF NOT PERFORMED AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS.
BEFORE USE, READ AND FOLLOW ALL MANUFACTURER’S INSTRUCTIONS, WARNINGS AND
PRECAUTIONS. NEVER ALLOW CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 14 TO CHARGE OR USE THE
BATTERIES WITHOUT THE SUPERVISION OF A RESPONSIBLE, KNOWLEDGEABLE ADULT. DO
NOT LEAVE THE BATTERIES OR CHARGER UNATTENDED WHILE CHARGING.
CHARGING AND HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
· DO NOT let any exposed battery contacts or wires touch each other. This will
cause the battery to short circuit and create the risk of fire. · While
charging, ALWAYS place the battery on a nonflammable surface such as concrete.
· NEVER charge batteries on wood, cloth, carpet or on any other flammable
material. · ALWAYS charge batteries in a well-ventilated area. · REMOVE
flammable items and combustible materials from the charging area. · DO NOT
place objects on top of the charger or batteries. · If any battery or battery
cell is damaged in any way, do NOT charge, discharge, or use the battery. · DO
NOT disassemble, crush, short circuit, or expose the batteries or cells to
flame or any other source of ignition. · If a battery gets hot to the touch
during the charging process, disconnect the battery from the charger and
discontinue charging immediately. · ALWAYS unplug the charger and disconnect
the batteries when not in use. · DO NOT leave the charger and batteries
unattended while charging, discharging, or any time that the charger is ON
with batteries connected. If there are any signs of a malfunction or in the
event of an emergency, unplug the charger from the power source and disconnect
the batteries from the charger. · REMOVE the batteries from your car before
charging. · DO NOT expose the batteries and charger to water or moisture. ·
ALWAYS store battery packs safely out of the reach of children and pets.

Safety Precautions
· DO NOT charge batteries under ANY of the following conditions: – Batteries
that are hot to the touch. – Batteries that are not expressly stated by the
manufacturer to be suitable to accept the power output (voltage and amperage)
the charger delivers during the charging process. – Batteries that are damaged
or defective in any way. Examples of damage or defects include, but are not
limited to, batteries with dented cells, damaged or frayed wires, loose
connections, fluid leaks, corrosion, plugged vents, swelling, cell deformity,
impact damage, melted components, or any other signs of damage. – Battery
packs that have been altered from original manufacturer configuration. – Non-
rechargeable batteries (explosion hazard). – Batteries that have missing or
unreadable labels, preventing you from properly identifying the battery type
and specifications.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER
· Because your model is controlled by radio, it is subject to radio
interference from many sources that are beyond your control. Since radio
interference can cause momentary losses of radio control, always allow a
safety margin in all directions around the model in order to prevent
collisions. · Range test your radio system in the area that you will be
running the model to ensure that you have range that covers the area you want
to drive. After range testing, drive slowly in the area at first to make sure
there is no interference that can cause momentary lapses of control. · Always
use new or freshly charged batteries in your model to maximize signal power
output and range. · The motors, batteries, and speed control can become hot
during use. Be careful to avoid getting burned. · Choose the right location to
drive. Your model is absolutely not intended for use on public roads or
congested areas where its operation can conflict with or disrupt pedestrian or
vehicular traffic. This is to prevent the possibility of injury or death
resulting from collision with the model by another human being or animal. · Do
not drive the RC car by yourself. Bring a friend along to act as a spotter to
alert you if a person or animal is approaching. · Do not operate your model at
night, or anytime your line of sight to the model may be obstructed or
impaired in any way. · Do not drive the model close to you where a mistake or
loss of control could cause the model to collide with you or any spectator. ·
Always carefully inspect your model for damage or loose components before
running. Do not drive the model if it is damaged in any way. Tighten any loose
hardware. · Never pick up the model by its tires or wheels. Always keep your
hands safely clear of moving parts whenever the batteries are plugged in.
Safety Precautions
· Keep the RC car stored with the batteries removed, out of the reach of
children and protected from access by any other unauthorized driver. · Always
disconnect the batteries in the model when it is not in use. Never store the
vehicle with batteries in the model, as this can cause a fire leading to
property damage, serious personal injury or even death. · Do not continue to
operate the model with low batteries or you could lose control of it.
Indications of low battery power include slow operation and delayed vehicle
response. Stop immediately at the first sign of weak batteries. When the
batteries in the transmitter become weak, the red power light will begin to
flash. Stop immediately and install new batteries. · Most importantly, use
good common sense at all times.
SPEED CONTROL
Your model’s electronic speed control (ESC) is an extremely powerful
electronic device capable of delivering high current. Please closely follow
these precautions to prevent damage to the speed control or other components.
· Disconnect the Battery: Always disconnect the battery or batteries from the
speed control when not in use. · Insulate the Wires: Always insulate exposed
wiring with heat shrink tubing to prevent short circuits. · Transmitter on
First: Switch on your transmitter first before switching on the speed control
to prevent runaways and erratic performance. · Don’t Get Burned: The ESC and
motor can become extremely hot during use, so be careful not to touch them
until they cool. Supply adequate airflow for cooling. · No Reverse Voltage:
The ESC is not protected against reverse polarity voltage.

Operation
Troubleshooting
OPERATION
1. Always turn on your transmitter before you turn on the receiver in the
vehicle. Always power off the receiver before turning your transmitter off.
2. ALWAYS operate your vehicle in a wide open area. Operating the vehicle on slippery floor or indoors may cause the vehicle to crash due to high speed.
3. WARNING! The water level should be lower than the bottom of the truck. If
excessive amount of water gets into the body of the truck and causes damages
or other related problems, we will not be responsible for any such damages.
The customer will be responsible for any replacements and additional
accessories if needed.
4. ALWAYS start with low speed, or the vehicle may slip or run on curves (as
shown on Pic 1). NEVER operate your vehicle in max speed. Operating the
vehicle in max speed may hurt yourself and damage the vehicle.

MOTOR CARE
· Seat the motor brushes by driving smoothly on a flat surface during use of
the first battery charge. Failing to do so can greatly reduce motor
performance and functional life. · Prolong motor life by preventing
overheating conditions. Undue motor wear results from frequent turns, stops
and starts, pushing objects, driving in deep water and tall grass, and driving
continuously up hill.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Scratched top
Steering not working properly
SOLUTION
The RC car comes with a protective plastic film that needs to be removed prior
to using the car. If a new truck shell is needed, it can be ordered through
our website www.laegendary.com
1. Replace the batteries of the remote with brand new ones and fully charge
the car battery.
2. Turn off the switch on the transmitter, then on, and pair again. Make sure
not to touch the throttle when pairing. 3. Clean the steering arm set and make
sure the arm is still in place, connected to the car.
4. Check the light of the transparent wire coming out of the car; it should
be a solid red.
5. Unplug the wires connecting the servo and the ESC, then pair the car with
the transmitter again. This is to check the defective part; if the car pairs
with the remote, then the servo might be the problem.
6. Servo and remote controller can be ordered through our website
www.laegendary.com
Reverse command not responding
Car going on its own and not responding correctly
When the car is moving forward in order to go in reverse please execute the
following commands on the remote: first throttle push will bring the car to a
stop and in neutral mode. The second throttle push will make the car go in
reverse. (please refer to Transmitter Instructions in this User Manual)
Do not press any buttons on the remote control while pairing with the car
because it will recognize that command every time. Rebind the remote and car
and turn them on within 3 seconds so you reset the commands and car responds
properly.

Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
Car will not pair with the remote
Wheels are not spinning properly
Stripping sound upon accelerating
SOLUTION
1. Our LEGEND car has a thermal protection feature. When the ESC detects that
the temperature is too high, it will automatically start thermal protection.
Thus, it needs to be switched off and wait for a few minutes to cool the
temperature down.
2. Keep the remote and the car a few feet away from each other while pairing.
3. Keep the remote and the car away from large metal objects while pairing so
there is no interference.
1. Tighten the locknuts (Part Number LG-WJ02) that are holding the wheels in
place.
2. Check for any missing pieces like hub hex with shafts (Part Number LG-
ZJ09) and/or rear dog bone (Part Number LG-WJ05). If parts are missing, they
can be ordered through our website www.laegendary.com
3. If all parts are intact, the differential may be broken and needs to be
replaced.
1. Inspect the car and make sure all the pieces are in place and no foreign
objects were caught up in it. Please refer to the schematic in this User
Manual to properly check the parts.
2. Check the front and rear differentials (Part Number LG-ZJ06) if they are
functioning properly with both the axels and main drive shaft. Make sure that
the gears of either the differential and/or main drive shaft (Part Number LG-
ZJ05) are not stripped.
Troubleshooting
PROBLEM

Rebinding the remote control with the car
SOLUTION
1. Solid red light on the charger charger is plugged in.
2. Blinking red light charger is defective.
3. Blinking green light on the charger battery is plugged in and charging.
4. Solid green light on the charger battery is fully charged.
5. Blinking green light after 3-4hrs of charging battery is defective.
6. Please try charging the battery using the second USB charger to determine
which is defective.
Replacement batteries and chargers can be purchased through our website
www.laegendary.com
Turn on the remote control first and within 3 seconds turn on the car as well
in order to rebind them; if not successful, repeat this action 2-3 times. If
