Basic Operations
Power On
After connecting with 5V power, click the POWER button on the programming board, the buzzer will beep three times after the camera is turned on. The blue and red LED lights are always on. The camera is in standby mode at this time.
Mode Switch
After the camera is turned on, click the POWER button on the programming board to switch between video mode and photo mode. The blue LED is on in video mode, and the green LED is on in photo mode.
Video and Photo
In video mode, click the SHUTTER/WIFI button, the camera will start recording, the buzzer will beep once, and the blue and red LED lights will flash, click the SHUTTER/WIFI button again, the camera will stop recording, the buzzer will beep three times, and the blue and red LED lights will turn on.
In photo mode, click the SHUTTER/WIFI button, the camera will take a picture, the buzzer will sound once, and the green and red LED lights will be on.
Open WiFi
When the camera is in standby mode, long press the SHUTTER/WIFI button, the buzzer will beep for a long time, and the WIFI will be on. The camera WIFI can be searched through the mobile phone, the WiFi name is FOXEER_LEGEND3_XXXXXX. (XXXXXX is the last six digits of the camera’s mac address)
Setting Camera
To set camera, please set in FOXEER APP:
Video Mode
Video mode contains two capture modes: Video, Time Lapse Video. Time Lapse
Video is available only in 30fps except SuperVision, and
is captured without audio.
Photo Mode
Photo mode contains four capture modes: Single, Timing, Auto and Burst.
Resolution
Photo Size
Quick Capture
Camera captures video automatically after powering on when QUIKCAP on.
EIS
With EIS, camera will with more stable view, and higher video quality, only applies for 1080p60fps and 1080p30fps.
Motion Detection
With Motion Detection ON, camera will start recording when there is any object move on a scale captured by lens.
Long Exposure
Long Exposure applies only to single photo and determines the amount of time that the shutter is open.The options for this setting are 1/30, 1, 2, 5, 10, 30, 60 seconds.
For best results when using the Long Exposure, mount your camera on a tripod or other stable surface to reduce the amount of blur in your video or photos.
Time Lapse Video
Time Lapse Video available shooting interval is from 1 sec to 10 sec.
Looping Video
Available intervals for Looping are 2, 3, 5 minutes. If you open the Loop Recording, the recorded file will be split into multiple sections written to the memory card, the camera keeps recording until memory card is full, and then overwrite the previous recorded small section content.
Timing Photo
Available intervals for Self timer are 2, 3, 5, 10, 30, 60 seconds.
Photo Burst
Available intervals are 3, 5 or 10 photos every seconds.
Auto Photo
Available intervals are 3, 5, 10, 30 and 60 seconds.
Delay Off
After removing power supply, camera will shut off on setting time. Available intervals are 5, 10, 20, 30, 60 seconds.
TV System
Video format setting is mainly for watching the video on TV/HDTV, to control the record frame rate of recording and playback.
Light Frequency
Light Frequency can be configured to Auto, 50Hz, 60Hz. If flash on screen, please adjust the light frequency.
OSD
The OSD(on-screen display) setting determine whether or not to display camera recording icon and Parameter info. The options for this setting are On(default) and Off.
Auto Off
Your camera can be configured to automatically power off after a specific period(3, 5, 10 minutes) in which no videos or photos are captured and no buttons are pressed, you can also configure the camera to off this function.
Beeps
You can turn on or turn off the beeps.
Video Timing Alarm
Your camera can be configured to start alarm for 3, 5, 10 minutes after recording, beeps last until you press any button.
Mic Volume
You can set mic volume to 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, Off.
Sharpness
Sharpness controls the sharpness of your video footage or photos.
White Balance
White balance lets you adjust the color temperature of videos and photos to optimize for cool or warm lighting conditions.
EV COMP
Exposure Value Compensation affects the brightness of your videos or photos. Adjusting this setting can improve image quality when shooting in environments with contrasting lighting conditions. Available setting range is -2.0~+2.0, the higher the value, the lighter of the image.
Exposure Value Compensation adjusts brightness within the existing ISO Limit. If brightness has already reached the ISO Limit in a low-light environment, increasing the Exposure Value Compensation does not have any effect.
Scene
The BOX has seven scenes-Normal(default), Flash, Night, Sports, Landscape, Portrait and Sunset, you can select the appropriate mode in different scenarios.
Effect
The BOX has seven effects filter-Normal(default), Art, Brown, Negative film, Black and white, Vivid, 70 age Film, you can set different effects for your videos and photos to make your work different.
ISO Limit
ISO Limit adjusts the camera’s sensitivity in low-light environments, and creates a balance between brightness and result image noise. Image noise refers to the degree of graininess in the image.
In low light, higher ISO values result in brighter image, but with greater image noise. Lower values result in lower image noise, but darker images.
Metering
The FOXEER BOX can setup 3 types of metering mode: Center-weighted metering, Multi-spot metering, Spot metering.
Connecting to the FOXEER App
The FOXEER App lets you control your camera remotely using a smartphone or tablet. Features include full camera control, live preview, playback and sharing of content.
TO CONNECT YOUR FOXEER BOX TO THE FOXEER APP:
- Download the FOXEER App to your smartphone/tablet from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your camera to the app. The default password for your camera is 1234567890.
