Pure Passive Mode
Put the 2.5 mm plug of the either the Balanced or Unbalanced Audio Cable in the 2.5 mm analog input socket of the Solitaire T. Put the plug on the other side of the cable into the output of an unbalanced or balanced analog audio source, such as a smartphone, a mobile audio player, a headphone amplifier, or an in-flight entertainment system. It might be necessary to use one of the adapters provided. None of the control elements on the headphone will work in this mode.

Analog Active Mode
Put the 2.5 mm plug of the either the Balanced or Unbalanced Audio Cable in the 2.5 mm analog input socket of the Solitaire T. Put the plug on the other side of the cable into the output of an unbalanced or balanced analog audio source, such as a smartphone, a mobile audio player, a headphone amplifier, or an in-flight entertainment system. It might be necessary to use one of the adapters provided. Switch the Solitaire T “ON”.  Only The “MODE” button, the volume control and the transparent touchpad will work in the “Analog Active” mode.

Digital Wired Mode
Put the USB C Connection Cable into the USB C socket of the Solitaire T. Put the plug on the other side of the cable into the USB C output of a digital audio source, such as a smartphone, a mobile audio player, a PC, or an in- flight entertainment system. If there is a USB A output as in many older devices a USB A to USB C adapter need to be use or a complete USB A to USB C data cable (both not included) can be used. Switch the Solitaire T “ON” All control elements on the headphone are active in this mode. It depends on the audio source if the commands have an effect.

Digital Wireless Mode (Bluetooth)
Switch the Solitaire T “ON”. Switch Bluetooth “ON”. When the Solitaire T is not paired with a Bluetooth Audio Source device you need to pair it first. When it is paired, and it doesn’t auto-connect you have to choose it in the setting of the Bluetooth device. Pairing: Slide the Bluetooth Switch upwards until “PAIR” is visible Above “ON”. Hold it in that position until the blue LED above the switch starts blinking. Now go the Bluetooth settings menu of your Bluetooth device. Start the search function. When “Solitaire T” appears in the search results choose it. When the device asks a second time choose “Pair”.

Audio Player Controls

An audio player connected via USB or Bluetooth can be remote controlled with the touchpad on the right. A “Tap” on the touchpad starts or pauses the music of an audio player depending on its previous mode. Swiping with a finger in forward direction on the touchpad let the player play the next song, swiping backwards jumps to the begin of the current title, a second swipe backwards jumps to the previous title. Swiping upwards on the touchpad increases the volume of the music, swiping downwards decreases it.
It depends on the audio source device if the commands have an effect.

Telephone Controls

When connected to a telephone device via USB or Bluetooth incoming calls can be taken by a “tap” on the touchpad, touching the touchpad for more than 2 seconds declines the call. When in a call a short “tap” on the touchpad ends the call.

Audio Mode

The “MODE” button toggles through the Audio Modes: “ANC ON”, “ANC OFF” and “High Quality Mode”. Whereas “ANC OFF” offers the best cancellation of ambience noise, “ANC OFF” lead to the longest battery lifetime and “High Quality Mode” to the best audio quality.

Digital Assistant Activation

The Digital Assistant (Hey Google, Siri…) of a device connected digitally to the Solitaire T can be activated using this button.
