Preparation for work
Before starting work, it is necessary to check that the batteries are completely charged. The battery status is indicated by 3 LEDs, located on the battery charger. The GREEN light indicated that the batteries are charged and therefore the machine can be used. The YELLOW light indicates that the residual autonomy is reduced (a few minutes), while the RED light indicates that the batteries are completely discharged and must be immediately recharged (see paragraph “Batteries recharging”). To save energy, the LEDs will automatically switch off when the machine is not used. Therefore, to see the battery status, it is necessary to switch on the machine (pump or vacuum motor switch).

ATTENTION: Batteries must be recharged after each use to preserve their life. In particular, the machine must be recharged after unpackaging, since the batteries might have discharged during the machine’s transport or storage.

ATTENTION: Connect the plug of the battery charger to a proper electrical socket, provided
of grounding. Read carefully the indications in the safety regulation paragraph.

To prepare the machine for work, do the following operations:

  1.  Connect the spray/rinse gun to the solution/rinse hose.
  2. Put some freshwater into the solution tank. Put only water, without chemicals. Use clean buckets only. In fact, the water put in the tank will be used later also for rinsing.
  3. Verify that the chemical tank is well connected to the input of the detergent on the regulation panel and that it is not empty.
  4. Put the general switch, located on the control panel, on the position “I”. The led light on the same panel will switch on.

NOTE: The machine was studied to work correctly with the products SANI- CLEAN, SUPER-CLEAN, and ACID-CLEAN. We cannot grant the correct working of the machine with different products.

Working method for NEBULIZATION OF A SANITIZING SOLUTION

To spray a nebulized solution, you need to use the spray gun, together with one of the nebulizing nozzles provided with the machine:

– the stainless-steel nozzle, for a very fine spraying
– the brass nozzle (optional), for a fine spraying
– the green nozzle (optional), for more powerful spraying

Add the chemical in the lower tank of the machine.

NOTE: When you spray with one of the above nebulizing nozzles, the machine will not take the chemical automatically from the chemical bottle. The machine will spray the solution contained in the lower tank. In order to pick up chemicals automatically, it is necessary to use other nozzles (the grey nozzle supplied as standard or other optional nozzles, such as the red or blue nozzles).

Be sure you use the correct chemical, not damaging the surfaces you are going to treat!

Working method for CLEANING AND SANITIZING SURFACES

The cleaning process is carried out through 4 steps:
A. Solution spraying and chemical action,
B. Rinsing and finishing,
C. Vacuuming the residual of liquid,
D. Washing hard-floor with the injection-extraction system

STEP A – SOLUTION SPRAYING AND CHEMICAL ACTION

  1. Switch on the solution pump, by acting on the pump switch, located on the control panel.
  2. Turn the “solution/rinse” lever in the “solution” position (orange drop ), to allow picking up the chemical. During solution spraying, the chemical is automatically dosed with a concentration of about 4%.
  3. To spray the solution, press the lever on the accessory. Spray solution uniformly on the surface to clean, keeping the nozzle of the gun at a distance of about 30-40 cm from the surface. It is enough to cover the surfaces to be cleaned and sanitized, with a little number of chemicals.
  4. Proceed from the top to the bottom and cover all the surfaces to be cleaned.

While you spray the solution in the further areas, this acts chemically on the already sprayed surfaces.

The time necessary for the chemical action

After spraying, it is necessary to leave the solution act for some minutes on the surfaces. If the spraying step has required some minutes, the first surfaces to be sprayed are ready to be rinsed.

The time necessary for the chemical action might vary according to the type of surface and to the type of dirt. For a wall with average-smooth panes, it should be enough to leave the chemical act for 2-3 minutes.

NOTE: We advise waiting the necessary time for the solution to perform its chemical action, in order to obtain the maximum result

STEP B – RINSING AND FINISHING

In order to perform the rinsing, it is necessary to commutate the machine from the “spray mode” to “rinse mode”, as follows:

  1. Turn the “spray/rinse” lever in the “rinse” position, on the control panel (blue drops ) in order to spray water only, without any chemicals.
  2. Press the lever on the accessory. We suggest proceeding with rinsing the vertical surfaces from the top to the bottom.

Water used for rising will flow down along the walls, together with the solution and the dirt removed. If the area cleaned has a drain hole on the hard floor, it is possible to push the liquid toward the drains, using the floor wiper.

STEP C – Vacuuming the residual liquid from hard-floor

After completing the cleaning of vertical surfaces, the sanitary fixtures, and all the surfaces to be cleaned, it is possible to vacuum the residual liquid from the hard floor

This operation is particularly useful in case there are no drain holes on a hard floor nearby.

To vacuum the liquid, proceed as follows:

  1. Connect the machine to the floor tool, using the vacuum hose.
  2. Switch on the vacuum motor.

NOTE: The capacity of the recovery tank is enough to vacuum all the liquid previously sprayed with a full tank of the clean water tank. After vacuuming the residual liquid, do not re-fill the clean water tank before draining the recovery tank. Furthermore, avoid to vacuum liquid not sprayed by the same machine, but for example by other sources. In this case in fact the quantity of water vacuumed into the recovery tank could be excessive for its capacity. If this should happen, check often the level of the recovery tank.

STEP D – Washing hard floor with the injection-extraction system

Using the hard floor accessory supplied with the machine, it is possible to wash hard floor injecting clean water and chemical, or clean water only, and vacuuming. In this way, the hard floor is perfectly cleaned and dried.

  1. Connect the hard floor accessory to the machine using the vacuum hose and the spray hose.
  2. Act on the control panel to spray water and chemical or water only.
  3. Spray on the hard floor, pressing the lever situated on the handle. It is possible to brush the hard floor thanks to the bristle brush situated below the vacuum head.
  4. Vacuum the liquid with the hard floor accessory

According to the hard floor dirt degree, it is possible injecting water and vacuuming simultaneously, or inject, brush, and vacuum afterward.

Optional accessories

With optional accessories, it is possible to use Eveline-Battery also to clean carpet, rugs, upholstery, and inside of cars.

Batteries recharging

The machine has an incorporated battery charger, allowing to recharge the batteries by simply plugging the plugin a wall socket (100-240V 50/60Hz). During charge, the 3 LEDs on the battery charger show the battery’s status. The RED light on means that the battery is completely discharged. The YELLOW light on means that the battery is almost charged, while the GREEN light on means that charging is almost complete. The necessary time for a complete charge is around 8 hours.

NOTE: During charge, an internal protection system prevents to use of the machine

Maintenance

The model Eveline-Battery is a machine for professional use. The warranty has a duration of one year and regards all the faults due to manufacturing defects. The faults due to improper use are not covered by a warranty

For a good preservation of your machine, do the following:

  1. After using the machine, before storing it, remove all the water from the 2 tanks.
  2. Periodically clean the clean water filter, removing it from the machine and rinsing it under water.
  3. Clean the chemical filter.
  4. Periodically check and clean the filter of the vacuum motor, which is located between the 2 tanks.
  5. Eliminate the lime that, in the long run, deposits in the hydraulic circuit, by putting a special anti-lime chemical in the solution tank and letting it work for some hours. Use the same products used for dishwashers. Empty and then rinse the solution tank. This operation should be done every 6-8 months.
  6. Periodically bring the machine to a technical service point, to check the correct working of all the parts subject to wear. In particular: the pump and vacuum motor. There are some parts, like carbon brushes, bearings, and so on, which must be replaced on time to avoid serious damages to the components upon which they are assembled. These damages cannot be then covered by warranty. This check should be done every 500 working hours.
  7. In time, the autonomy of batteries tends to reduce with aging. When the autonomy of batteries becomes too low, it is necessary to replace them with new ones. To replace batteries, contact the distributor where you purchased the machine. Used batteries must not be thrown in the garbage, but brought to the distributor where you purchased the machine.
