Additional ways to control the device

  1. You can control the lights with the Google Home app. All functions are available from the interface.
  2. You can control a group of lights by calling out the room they are in. Example “turn on kitchen lights” All of the lights placed in the room named Kitchen will work together.

Set up a Name for your device

  1. To change the name of a device, open the Google Home app.
  2. Click on the device icon.
  3. Click on the gear button on the top right.
  4. Click under “Name” to edit.
  5. Rename the device.

Note: All devices must have a unique name. Do not use the room name in the device name. Doing so will make the voice commands unclear. Example: Instead of “kitchen light” use “downlight”. If your device stop responding

  1. Make sure your wall switch is on. You may turn the device on and off from the wall switch (manual mode).
  2. Turn the device off and then back on. Wait about a minute for the device to regain connectivity with the Google Nest or Home device.
  3. If the above steps do not work, you may have to delete your device from the Google Home app, factory reset the Juno Connect device and wait 10 minutes before adding it again.

Tip: When turning the device on and off from the wall switch, wait at least three seconds between each toggle. The light should turn on and off. If the light does not respond check your wiring, circuit breakers etc.

If you get the error message “Something went wrong”

  1. The signals between your Juno Connect device and your speaker may not be strong enough. Try moving the devices closer to each other. The Google Nest or Home device must be in the same room as your Juno Connect devices to ensure signal strength.
  2. You may have interference from other wireless devices. Move things like routers, cordless phones, wireless speakers, etc. further away from your Google Nest or Home device and your Juno Connect devices.
  3. You may have reached the limit of how many Juno Connect devices can be connected to your speaker. Google Home supports up to five. Google Nest supports up to four. To add more Juno Connect devices consider getting a hub such as the SmartThings hub to increase the number of devices you may link to a Google Home or Google Nest device.
