WOOD’S ONE OF THE WORLD’S LEADING DEHUMIDIFIERS
Wood’s dehumidifiers have been known as market leaders for many years. Their dehumidifiers are suitable for use in the most demanding climates, where dehumidifying capacity is optimal even at different temperatures and humidity levels.
Excellent results can be achieved within indoor areas that become damp, such as basements, garages, pool rooms, attics, and summer houses. Compared to conventional tumble dryers, Wood’s dehumidifiers do not wear out clothes as they utilize a blow-drying effect while being energy efficient, making them ideal for drying laundry.
The amount of humidity that the dehumidifier removes depends on the temperature, humidity level, and placement. External weather conditions may also affect the performance of the dehumidifier. Wood’s dehumidifiers are safe in operation and intended for use over many years.
EXCESSIVE AIR HUMIDITY – A DANGER
Condensation occurs when water vapor in the air comes into contact with a cold
surface such as a cold window or wall. When water vapor is cooled down,
condensation occurs, and water drops are formed. In high air humidity, the air
may get musty and mold might get formed, causing damage to a house and its
furnishings. This environment may even cause illness for the residents. Mites
and spiders also thrive in damp environments. A dehumidifier with high
performance creates a good, healthy humidity level. For the greatest
efficiency, the doors and windows of rooms that are being dehumidified should
be kept closed. Removes odors, dries the wood, and removes moisture from
outdoors equipment.

SET UP DEHUMIDIFIER FOR INSTALLATION
Installation
BEFORE FIRST USE
Let the machine stand for 4 hours before using Selecting a Location.
Important
- Dehumidifiers must be operated in an enclosed area to be most effective. Close all doors, windows, and other outside openings to the room. The effectiveness of the dehumidifier depends on the rate at which new moisture-laden air enters the room.
- Place a dehumidifier in a location that does not restrict airflow through the front of the unit.
- A dehumidifier operating in a room will have little or no effect in drying an adjacent enclosed storage area, such as a closet unless there is adequate circulation of air in and out of the area. lt may be necessary to install a second dehumidifier in the enclosed area for satisfactory drying.
- Ensure that the unit is placed on a stable and flat surface. If the surface is not stable there is a risk that the unit may be unstable and cause excessive vibration and that water will be released.
- The dehumidifier must have at least 20 cm free space around the entire dehumidifier.
- Fuse for PCB: F1: 2010 Serie(s), AC250V, T, 2.0A; F2: 2010 Serie(s), AC250V, T, 5.0A/6.3A

AIR FILTER
The air filter prevents dust and dirt from entering the machine, prolonging
its life expectancy. It is important the filter is cleaned regularly.
Filter cleaning:
- Remove the filter.
- Wash it with warm water and a mild cleansing agent. Alternatively, the filter may be vacuum cleaned.
- Let the filter dry and put it back.
DEFROSTING OPERATION
During the defrosting operation, the dehumidification function may intermit. Please don’t turn off the switch or pull out the power plug of the dehumidifier during the defrosting operation. This dehumidifier can’t be applicable to keep extremely low temperatures. The purpose of this dehumidifier is to pump off the unpleasant high humidity in daily life and dry the wet things. But it can’t be used to keep extremely low temperatures. The room temperature increases during the operation.
This dehumidifier doesn’t have a colling function. It will produce heat during the operation and increase the room temperature to 1 to 4°C. In addition, the door and windows are closed and other appliances in the room can give out heat as well as the radiation of the sun can raise the room temperature.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
For its casing is made of plastic, do not place it in direct sunlight. Remove the water tank with care. If not using the unit for a long time. Please Switch off and unplug the unit, empty the water reservoir, keep it in a dry and ventilated place. Only use a soft clean cloth for all cleaning purposes. Do not use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the unit. Cleaning mesh filter: Remove the filter using a vacuum cleaner or water to clean, then put it in ventilated place until it’s dry.
SERVICE
If the dehumidifier requires servicing, you must first contact your local
retailer. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
STORAGE
Before storage of the unit, please follow these steps:
- Make sure the water tank is empty. When the unit is switched on, make sure the unit work at Ventilation mode for at least 30 minutes to remove the water inside the unit.
- Collect and bundle the power cord.
- Clean the filter.
- Store in a clean, dry environment. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
HINTS
When the dehumidifier is used in extremely damp environments or when the
temperature is below +5˚C, the dehumidifier may stop working. A large amount
of ice builds up on the cooling coil. Turn off the dehumidifier and place it a
little above floor level so that the ice will melt away.
Sometimes it may be useful to use a frost guard or heater fan to make sure
that the temperature does not fall below +10˚C. Even if the MRD20/25 works
down to temperatures as low as +5°C, its capacity will increase at higher
temperatures as warm air carries more water.
The hydrostat has a margin of error of approx. +/- 5-10%. At lower
temperatures, the margin of error might increase further. For maximum
dehumidifying power in a room, it is recommended that the air supply from
outside and from adjoining rooms is minimized – close doors and ventilators.
Expect higher dehumidification capacity during Autumn / Summer because the
outside air is warmer and more humid.
IMPORTANT! – Wood’s dehumidifier must be connected to a grounded power source. The power source should be 220V-240V 50Hz
