PEGASUS ASTRO DSLR Buddy v2 Controller
DSLR Buddy is a compact device designed to provide constant power to your DSLR camera. It can accept DC voltages between 3V and 14V and always regulate the DSLR Output to 8V DC. Power can be inserted into the micro-USB socket or to 2.1mm socket.
NOTICE : IF YOU CONNECT TWO POWER SOURCES (USB-5V & DC 12V) DEVICE WILL SELECT THE HIGHER VOLTAGE (12V) Moreover, the device can power on a heater strip by varying the duty cycle of the DC voltage (PWM control). It is the perfect buddy for your DSLR camera in the mountains or in any astrophotography field.
- Plug the dummy battery in your camera and into the “DSLR Out” socket of the DSLR Buddy.
- Connect DC 3 – 14 Volt power supply or car cigarette adapter cable in the “DC IN” socket of your DSLR buddy (12V DC preferred)
- During startup of your camera you might see the screen below: Just select “OK” and the camera will work as usual.
- Plug your Dew Heater to the “Dew Heater” output of the DSLR Buddy. Please note that Dew Heater Output works only when 2.1mm input socket is used. It cannot accept power from micro USB socket.
- DSL Buddy has a built in Pulse Width Modulation duty cycle control output for a Dew Heater or Flatbox. Turn the knob on the side of the device to adjust the power of the Dew Heater output.
- A red light (PWM duty cycle indicator) adjusts its brightness when you turn the knob from min to max.
