Safety Notes
- Do not short-circuit charger/power supply unit contacts!
- Since batteries, chargers and power supplies heat up during charging, do not cover
- The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
- The product is intended for indoor use only.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Use the item only in moderate climatic conditions.
- Do not use the product in areas where the use of electronic devices is not permitted.
- Do not use the product in moist environments and avoid splashes.
- Lay all cables so that they do not pose a tripping hazard.
- Do not bend or crush the cable.

- Always pull directly on the plug when disconnecting the cable, never on the cable itself.
Risk of electric shock
- Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
- Do not use the product if the AC adapter, the adapter cable, or the main cable are damaged.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
Getting started
Warning
- Only operate the product from a socket that has been approved for the device. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible.
- Disconnect the product from the power supply using the On/Off switch –ifthis is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket.
- If using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the total power consumption of all connected devices do not exceed the power strip’s maximum throughput rating.
- If you will not be using the product for a prolonged period, disconnect it from mains power.
Notes for connecting the power supply unit to suitable terminal devices
- Before connecting a terminal device, check whether the power output of the main supply can supply sufficient power for the device.
- Check whether the device you want to use for mains operation is compatible with the connection assignment of the universal power supply unit. If necessary, contact the retailer of your terminal device or the support center of your terminal device manufacturer for more information. Please refer to the instructions in the operating manual of your terminal device.
- Check the mechanical compatibility between the universal power supply unit adapter and the socket of your end device without plugging it in.
- Note the polarity of the terminal device’s socket and plug in the adapter accordingly (see fig. 1).
- Set the voltage required by your terminal device on the voltage selection switch using the included key.
- Plug the universal power supply unit into a power outlet.
- The terminal device can now be used and switched on.
Note
Disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning or if it will not
be used for a period of time.
