BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Remove all packaging material and all stickers and labels.
  2. Wipe the inside and outside of the unit with a moist cloth.
  3. Ensure that the baking plates are clean.
NOTE: During the first few use, there may be a “hot plastic” smell. This is perfectly normal in new waffle makers as the material is heated for the first time. Heating the waffle maker once without any food inside for about 10 minutes is recommended. Ensure the room is properly ventilated during the first use.

USING YOUR WAFFLE MAKER

  1. Place the waffle maker on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface.

  2. Close the waffle maker and plug the power cord into a wall outlet. The red power light turns on, indicating that the unit is on and preheating.
NOTE: The red power light stays on until you unplug the waffle maker.

  3. Turn the temperature control knob to the desired setting. The higher the setting, the darker the waffles will be.

  4. After preheating, the green ready light turns on, indicating that the unit is ready to cook the waffles.

  5. Coat both the top and bottom baking plates with either nonstick cooking spray or a thin layer of cooking oil brushed on.

  6. Pour the waffle batter onto the bottom baking plate, evenly coating the entire surface. The green ready light turns off.

  7. Close the waffle maker and use the handle to rotate the baking plates 180° clockwise until it is locked in for cooking.
NOTE: The waffle maker is locked when the temperature control knob is facing down. It opens when the temperature control knob is facing up.

  8. When the green ready light is turned on, use the handle to rotate the baking plates 180° counterclockwise.

  9. Open the waffle maker and check if the waffle is ready. If so, remove the waffle with a non-metal utensil.
NOTE: If the waffles are not cooked enough, close the waffle maker, rotate to lock, and wait 30 seconds to recheck if they are ready.

  10. When finished cooking waffles, turn the temperature control knob to the lowest setting and remove the plug from the outlet.
    NOTE:
    • Repeat steps 3-9 to cook additional waffles.
Always clean the waffle maker after every use. Nonstick cooking spray and oil can build up and affect the nonstick coating.
    CAUTION:
Do not touch hot surfaces! Use the handle. Do not touch the waffle maker, baking plates, or rim of baking plates.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

NEVER immerse cord, plug, or unit in water or any other liquid.
NEVER place the waffle maker in a dishwasher.
Always clean the waffle maker after every use.
Ensure that water does not enter the unit housing.
Do not use metal utensils, scouring pads, or abrasive cleaners on the waffle maker or the baking plates, as this will damage the finish and nonstick coating.

The drip tray is dishwasher safe.

  1. Turn the temperature control knob to the lowest setting and remove the plug from the outlet.
CAUTION: Ensure the waffle maker and baking plates have cooled down completely before cleaning.

  2. Wipe the inside and outside of the waffle maker with a damp cloth.

  3. To remove batter that is stuck to the baking plates, pour a small amount of cooking oil onto the batter. Wait 5 minutes to allow it to soften and then clean with a damp cloth.

  4. Ensure the waffle maker is completely dry before next use.
