REVOX STUDIOART Speaker User Guide
Overview and Content
All descriptions require a software version [Processor] of at least or higher:
– A100 Active Speaker V38
– S100 Audio bar V61
– B100 Bass Module V15
A possible update is triggered by a restart on the A100 Active Speaker and the S100 Audio bar. Please make sure that the network is available when restarting.
The B100 Bass Module requires the small Windows program B100Updater.exe for an update, which can be downloaded free of charge from www.revox.com. For the update, the B100 is connected to a Windows PC with a USB cable (USB-A to USB micro).

minutes, the A100 automatically goes into standby. In this operating state,
the STUDIOART app can be accessed at any time.
Update
An update is only displayed if the A100 (re) establishes a network connection
to the Internet. This happens, for example, when the A100 is completely
switched off and on again or the network is changed / restarted during
operation. With the help of the voice output of the A100 you will be informed
about the update procedure in English. The status LED flashes red during the

Connecting the STUDIOART A100 to a passive P100 Room Speaker
When switched off, the STUDIOART A100 can be connected to the passive STUDIOART P100 using the pre-assembled speaker cable (3m). The cable is included with the P100.
During start-up, the A100 will automatically recognize the P100 as the auxiliary speaker and assign it as the right channel. The A100 will play the left channel. If the A100 is on the right, you can simply swap the right / left assignment in the STUDIOART app.
In stereo mode, the battery life is correspondingly slightly shorter than in mono mode. If the P100 was subsequently connected to the A100 when it was already switched on, a P100 search can be carried out using the STUDIOART app. The detection can be started in the setup menu of the A100 with the field CHECK
Integration of A100 in the local network with WPS * function
- Start A100 and place it in the immediate vicinity of the WLAN router.
- The following WPS routine must be completed within 2 minutes.
- Bring A100 into WPS mode: hold + for approx. 10 sec. until a double beep is audible periodically. At halftime, a single beep is heard in advance. Status LED flashes periodically 3 times in a row Press the WPS button on the router. Some routers also have names like “Login” or “Connect”
- If the A100 has been detected, it is now automatically logged into the wireless network of the router. It requires no additional input of the wireless password key.
Note: A100 as rear AND room loudspeaker
If an A100 is to be used alternately as room loudspeaker and rear / paired
loudspeaker (from the Audio bar or A100 second loudspeaker), WLAN integration
via WPS is not advisable, as the WLAN password (Key) is only communicated to
the A100 once and in encrypted form. In this case, integration via the Apple
or Android routine is preferable. More information can be found in the
detailed operating instructions on the Redox homepage.
- WPS = automatic connection process of WLAN products. Both devices, router and WLAN product (e.g., A100) must support WPS.
For some wireless routers, WPS is disabled at the factory and must first be enabled in the settings.
Integration of A100 in the local network using an Apple device
- Download and install the STUDIOART App from the Apple App Store free of charge.
- Activate A100 hotspot mode: hold + for approx. 5 sec. until a beep is heard periodically. Status LED flashes slowly while A100 sets up its own WLAN (WAC/ Hotspot)
- Now in the WiFi settings of the Apple device, select the A100 as a recognised Airplay speaker (not WiFi hotspot) and follow the Apple configuration wizard. The menu “SET UP NEW AIRPLAY SPEAKER” is show in the iOS WiFi settings in the lower section, below the list of detected WiFi networks.
After successful integration, the A100 is displayed as a loudspeaker in the loudspeaker list of the STUDIOART app and can be given a new name in Setup.
- AirPlay = AirPlay is a wireless interface which allows iPhones/iPads to exchange music (data) with other AirPlay-certified devices. AirPlay uses the existing home WiFi network for this purpose. AirPlay also works when the A100 Active speaker is connected to the home network via a wired LAN connection. The A100 supports AirPlay 1 and AirPlay 2.
Integration of A100 in the local network using an Android device
- Download and install the STUDIOART App from the Apple or Google Play Store for free.
- Press the text line “Long press this line to connect a new device” in App
- Follow the 4 steps a – d which the app shows with graphics and text:
a) Activate A100 hotspot mode: hold + for approx. 5 sec. until a beep is heard periodically. Status LED flashes slowly while A100 sets up its own WLAN (WAC/ Hotspot).
b) In the WLAN settings of
the Smartphone/tablet, select the A100 (WLAN name: RevoxA100-xxxx)
c) Select the desired future WLAN network and enter the corresponding WLAN key
d) In Network settings, select the WLAN in which the A100 is playing
After successful integration, the A100 is displayed as a loudspeaker in the loudspeaker list of the STUDIOART app and can be given a new name in Setup.

Important note
The controls for volume, crossover frequency and phase are only effective for
signals that are sent to the B100 subwoofer via RCA cables.
In the case of a wireless connection to other STUDIOART products (S100 / A100), the parameter settings are only made via the STUDIOART app. The crossover frequency is automatically determined by the STUDIOART system. The settings for volume (amplification) and phase are set in the STUDIOART app according to the hearing impression.
