Usage and Operation
Advice before Use
Infrared thermometers have high requirements on the surrounding environment,
and correct use is the key to accurate testing.
- This product is an infrared forehead thermometer that professionally measures the temperature of the human body. According to the difference in human skin, the measured temperature will be different.
- When the room temperature changes greatly, the infrared frontal thermometer should be placed in the room for 20 minutes before use.
- When the person to be measured comes from a place with a large difference in temperature from the measurement environment, they should stay in the test environment for at least 5 minutes, and wait for the temperature to be consistent with the environment before measuring.
- The environment around the person to be tested must be stable. Do not test in places with large airflows such as fans and air outlets of air conditioners.
- Do not use the instrument outdoors or in a place with strong sunlight. If stored or used outside the temperature and humidity specifications specified above, the system may not meet the stated performance specifications.
- Do not hold the front end of the thermometer during measurement.
- The measurement site must not be covered by hair. If there is sweat, please wipe it with a dry towel and measure it later. Otherwise, it will affect the measurement result.
- Cold measurement of the forehead of a fever patient, sweating, and other cooling measures will make the measurement result low, and measurement should be avoided in this case.
- Comparison of different temperature measurement methods. The body temperature measured by different temperature measurement methods will be different. The specific temperature differences are shown in the table below for reference.
Measurement Area | Normal Temperature |
---|---|
Anal temperature | 36.6℃-38℃ |
Oral temperature | 35.5℃-37.5℃ |
Underarm temperature | 34.7℃-37.3℃ |
Cochlea temperature | 35.8℃-38℃ |
Forehead temperature | 35.8℃-37.8℃ |
Quick Installation
- Install the battery
- The first time you use it, you need to put in a new battery, and then you can take a temperature measurement.
- The front of the thermometer is aimed at the forehead, and the distance is 1 cm -15 cm. At the same time, make sure that there is no hair, sweat, cosmetics, or hat cover, then press the measurement switch to start the measurement.
- When the ambient temperature changes affect the forehead temperature or forehead sweating, please measure after measuring the earlobe. Also make sure that there is no hair, sweat, makeup, or hat covering.
Note: The measured temperature value will vary depending on the person’s skin
color, thickness, and body part, and when the ambient temperature changes
greatly, which is normal. The reason is that the more exposed human body parts
are, the more affected by the ambient temperature. Battery Replacement
The instrument uses a DC9V battery. Generally, it can be used continuously for
more than 10000 times. When a battery symbol appears on the top right of the
screen and flashes, it means that the battery is insufficient and the battery
needs to be replaced as soon as possible.
- Open the battery cover and replace the battery. Pay attention to the correct position of the positive and negative electrodes. The product is designed with a battery anti-reverse device. Even if the battery is installed in the wrong polarity, it will not cause damage to the product, but it will not work.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries. Use disposable batteries. Use alkaline batteries whenever it is possible.
- When the instrument is not working, the static current is extremely small. But when it is not used for a long time, it is recommended to remove the battery to prevent battery leakage from damaging the product.
Precautions
- When opening the battery cover to replace the battery, pay special attention to the polarity of the battery. Misplacement may cause damage to the product.
- When not in use for a long time, please remove the battery to prevent the thermometer from being damaged due to battery leakage.
- Do not use if the battery is leaking or moldy.
- Do not place the battery near a fire source or throw it into a fire to prevent the battery from exploding.
- Do not store the battery in a high temperature or high humidity environment.
- To avoid a short circuit, do not put the battery in the same pocket with metal objects such as coins or keys, or other containers that may shorten the battery life.
- Do not dispose of used batteries arbitrarily, they should be classified and disposed of according to local regulations.
- Check the battery for power before using the thermometer every time.

Operation Steps
- How to measure temperature. Press and hold the measurement button (9) on the front of the thermometer to continuously measure temperature. If you only need one measurement, please release the button after the measurement is shown on the display.
- Measurement counter in the lower-left corner of the screen. The count value is cycled from 1 to 32. The counter will increase by 1 each time a valid measurement is performed and then return to 1 after it reaches 32. If the measurement result is “L0” or “HI”, it is an invalid measurement, invalid measurement results are not saved to the internal memory and will not add to the count.
- View stored measurements. The thermometer will automatically save up to 32 valid measurements. To view stored measurements, press the “M” button, then press “+” or “-“. Press “-” to display the latest measured temperature, and press “+” to display the first measurement. Press “+” or “-” again to cycle through the measurements.

P is the maximum rated output power of the transmitter specified by the
transmitter manufacturer, in watts (W), d is the
recommended separation distance, in meters (m). The electric field strength of
a fixed RF transmitter is determined by a site
survey a) of the electromagnetic field and should be lower than the compliance
level in each frequency band range. Interference may occur near the equipment
marked with the following symbol.
1. At the frequency points of 80MHz and 800MHz, the formula of the higher
frequency bands is adopted.
2. These guidelines may not be suitable for all situations. Electromagnetic
propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from buildings, objects,
and the human body.
3. Stationary transmitters, such as base stations for wireless (cellular /
fly-free) telephones and ground mobile radios, amateur radios, FM and FM radio
broadcasts, and television broadcasts, the theoretical field strengths cannot
be accurately predicted in theory. To assess the electromagnetic environment
of fixed RF transmitters, surveys of electromagnetic sites should be
considered. If the measured field strength of the electronic thermometer is
higher than the applicable RF compliance level above, the electronic
thermometer should be observed to verify that it can operate normally. If
abnormal performance is observed, additional measures may be necessary, such
as reorienting or relocating the electronic thermometer.
4. In the frequency range of 150KHz ~ 80MHz, the magnetic field strength
should be lower than 3V / m.
The recommended separation distance between portable and mobile RF
communication equipment and this infrared thermometer
This infrared thermometer is expected to be used in an electromagnetic
environment where radio frequency radiation disturbance is controlled.
Depending on the maximum rated output power of the communication equipment,
the purchaser or user can maintain the portable and mobile RF communication
equipment (transmitter) and the infrared thermometer as recommended below. The
minimum distance between them to prevent electromagnetic interference.
