VISUAL COMFORT PCD 5210 Orsay Medium Chandelier

Product Information

The Orsay Medium Chandelier, item # PCD 5210, is a light fixture that requires installation according to all applicable local installation codes. It is designed to be installed by a person familiar with its construction and operation, as well as the hazards involved. The chandelier does not come with bulbs included. Please inspect the item and contents carefully before installation. Do not install if any damage or defect is found. All packaging material should be retained until installation is complete and approved.

The chandelier comes with a mounting plate (A), canopy (D), collar ring (E), bottom rod (H), and wire nuts (B). The fixture has a neutral wire (white) and a hot wire (black) that must be connected to the supply neutral and hot wires, respectively. The fixture can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth or feather duster, but abrasive or chemical agents should not be used.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Using a Phillips screwdriver and wire cutters, carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.
  2. Remove mounting plate (A) from canopy (D) by removing the collar ring (E).
  3. Install mounting plate (A) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (C).
  4. Feed electrical and ground wires through bottom rod (H) and connect ground wire to the supply ground wire using wire nut (B).
  5. Connect fixture ground wire (usually green or bare copper) to the supply ground wire using wire nut (B).
  6. Attach the chandelier bracket to the mounting plate using the screws provided.
  7. Attach the bottom rod (H) to the bracket using the screws provided.
  8. Attach the chandelier arms to the bottom rod using the screws provided.
  9. Attach the chandelier cups to the arms using the screws provided.
  10. Connect fixture neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (B).
  11. Connect fixture hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (B). CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.
  12. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.
  13. Install canopy (D) to mounting plate (A) and secure with collar ring (E).
  14. Install light bulbs into the sockets.

NOTICE

This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect item and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.

TOOLS REQUIRED NOT INCLUDED

  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • Slotted Screwdriver
  • Wire Cutters
  • Wire Strippers

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.

  2. Remove mounting plate (A) from canopy (D) by removing collar ring (E).

  3. Install mounting plate (A) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (C).

  4. Feed electrical and ground wires through the bottom rod (H) and connect to the fixture body (I). Repeat for middle rod (G), connecting to the bottom rod (H).

  5. Continue feeding wires through collar ring (E) and canopy (D).

  6. Holding fixture upright, slide collar ring (E) and canopy (D) down and rest on fixture body (I). Then connect top rod (F) to the middle rod (G).
    NOTE: Slide components down slowly to avoid damage.

  7. Hang fixture swivel ball (K) to the center of mounting plate (A).

  8. Cut excess wires, being sure to leave enough to reach the junction box. Separate wires, and strip insulation on each 5/8”.

  9. Wrap fixture ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 1). Tighten. Continue fixture ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (B).
    NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.

  10. Connect fixture neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (B).

  11. Connect fixture hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (B).
    CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.

  12. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.

  13. Install canopy (D) to mounting plate (A) and secure with collar ring (E).

  14. Install light bulbs into the sockets.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Do Not use abrasive or chemical agents.
