Safety Notes

  • The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
  • Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating, and only use it in a dry environment.
  • Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Do not allow yourself to be distracted by the product, for example when driving a vehicle or operating sports equipment. Always pay attention to the surrounding traffic and your environment.
  • Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
  • Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
  • Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
  • Since the battery is integrated and cannot be removed, you will need to dispose of the product as a whole. Do this in compliance with the legal requirements.
  • Dispose of packaging material immediately according to locally applicable regulations.
  • Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
  • Use the product for its intended purpose only.
  • Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.

Warning – Rechargeable Battery

  • Only use suitable charging devices or USB connections for charging.
  • Asa rule, do not use charging devices or USB connections that are defective and do not try to repair them yourself.
  • Do not overcharge the product or allow the battery to completely discharge.
  • Avoid storing, charging or using the device in extreme temperatures and extremely low atmospheric pressure(for example, at high altitudes).
  • When stored over along period of time, batteries should be charged regularly (at least every three months).
  • Do not charge and discharge the product simultaneously.

Getting Started

  • The Bluetooth® receiver has an integrated lithium polymer battery. Before using the device for the first time, fully charge the Bluetooth® receiver using asuitable power source (USB charger or USB socket on aPC/notebook) and the supplied USB cable.
  • The status LED is constantly lit red during charging.
  • Charging begins and ends automatically.
  • Once charging has finished, the status LED goes out. The battery is now fully charged.

Operation

Bluetooth® Pairing

Note

  • Make sure that your Bluetooth®-capable terminal device is on and Bluetooth® is activated.

  • For more information, please refer to the operating instructions of your terminal device.

  • Please connect the Bluetooth® receiver to the 3.5 mm jack (or AUX) socket of the receiver device (for example, on the car radio).

  • Press the Multifunction button (1) and hold it for 2 seconds, in order to switch on the Bluetooth® receiver and activate the discoverable mode (LED (4) flashes blue).

  • Then activate the Bluetooth® function on your transmitter device (for example, smartphone) and select the device ‘Bluetooth® Receiver 1’.

  • The status LED (4) is constantly lit blue –the device is now connected and ready to use.

Note – Bluetooth® Password

Some terminal devices require a password in order to connect to another Bluetooth® device.

  • If your terminal device requests a password to establish the connection, enter 0000, 1234, 1111 or 8888.
Ending the Connection

Press the Multifunction button (1) and hold it for 2seconds in order to end the connection and switch off the device.

Automatic Connection
  • The next time you want to connect the Bluetooth® receiver, it is enough to simply switch on the device. The last transmitter device is preset to ensure fast connectivity.
  • If this does not work, establish anew connection (see Section 5.1 Bluetooth® pairing).
Call Acceptance
  • Press the Multifunction button (1) once to accept a call.
  • To end a call, press the Multifunction button again.
  • To reject a call, press the Multifunction button and hold it for about 2 seconds.
Power Saving

If the Bluetooth® receiver is not connected to a Bluetooth® device, it will switch off within 3minutes of inactivity in order to preserve the integrated battery.

Note
Electrostatic discharge or electromagnetic interference can degrade the functionality of the receiver.
If the receiver ceases to function correctly, perform steps 5.2 and 5.1 again to restore functionality.

Care and Maintenance

  • Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
  • Make sure that water does not get into the product.
