Installation

Mounting
Place the magnetic base on the flat sharpe of Bumper or Tailgate to avoid falling. It may will falling off mounting on Curved Spot of the Bumper or V Shaped Bumpers!

Before you use camera

  • Please full charging the battery (more than 6 hours) for the first time. Otherwise, Wi-Fi may not work.
  •  When the product green light flashes, please charge it in time.
  • The camera is tested and proved to be used on Android 4.0 to Android 9.0systemand all IOS system.

But some Android phone brands and models may conflict with APP. If you have this issue, Contact us and tell what is your android systems and your phone model.

How to Pairing the Camera with your Smartphone?

Android System

Search for “Safety cam” in the google app store, download the app and install.
STEP 1: Long Press the Power ON/OFF Button more than 5 seconds untill the Power ON and the green Indicator light ON, and the camera is turned on successfully.
STEP 2: Turn on Phone ‘Wi-Fi’ function and searches other network name is ‚SONIX_xxxxx‛. Choose the ‚SONIX_xxxxx‛and access to. Until the ‚ SONIX_xxxxx‛show connected.

STEP 3: Open APP.You will see the image from Hitch Camera. If no image, please confirm phone‘s GPS is ON again.

  1. FPS: Signal strength
  2. Click here to choose the Wi-Fi ;
  3. Click here for mirror or non-mirror flip;
  4. Click here for image screenshots;
  5. Click here to find picture your capture;
  6. Click here to show or hide guidance lines

  1. Shown as picture. Please EXIT the app, and then access the Wi-Fi and run app again. Find Wi-Fi named ‚SONIX_xxxxx‛,

Click ’Confirm’button.

2. Shown as picture, please click ‘Exit’;

3. Please EXIT the app, and then access the Wi-Fi and run app again. Please click the Button and choose the Wi-Fi Name ‚ SONIX_xxxxx‛,Click ‘Confirm’.

STEP 4
Power OFF :Press and hold the Power ON/OFFButton for about 5 seconds, the green light is off, and the camera is turned off also.

IOS System

Search for “Safety eye” to download the app and installation.
STEP 1: Long Press the Power ON/OFFButton and holdmore then 5 seconds unit the Power ON and the green Indicator lighton, and the camera is turned on successfully.
STEP 2: Open Phone Wi-Fi function and searches other network name is ‚SONIX_xxxxx‛ ,Choose the ‚SONIX_xxxxx‛and connects,Until the ‚SONIX_xxxxx‛ show connected. As the picture shows:

STEP 3: Open the ‘Safety cam’ APP. Access to app Link interface.

STEP 3: Power OFF: Press and hold the Power ON/OFFButton for about 5 seconds, the green light is off, and the camera is turned off successfully.

TIP: If you have 2 and more this camera. You can paring 2 camera with 1 phone at the same time. If you need to Conversion to other hitch camera, you can click the setup icon Conversion to select the camera. As shown below: Conversion camera:

Troubleshooting

Conection fail If your phone can’t connect with camera , there are several things to check in order until the camera works.

  • Verify camera is powered.
  • Verify phone’s GPS and Wi-Fi/WLAN are turn on.
  • Verify App connected to Phone’s Wi-Fi/WLAN named “SONIX_xxxxx”; If not, please follow STEP 4 access this Wi-Fi again.

You can try these options to help solve your issue.

  • Restart the hitch camera, and try to do a connection with your other smartphone.Update App for your phone. Updating the Camera Software.

Image video unstable
In cold weather, the batteries lose power quickly.

Maintenance instruction

  • Do not recommend to use the camera while you are driving a vehicle, it may fall off.
  • For longer life and more stable power, do not put it in a cold environment for a long time.
  • After use, remember to take it away to prevent it from being stolen.
  • Non-professional Do not attempt to take apart and repair the camera
  • Please use the constant-current driver exclusively adaptive to the camera, do not change the driver without permission
