SafetyNotes

  • The product is intended for private, noncommercial use only.
  • Protect the product from dirt, moisture, and overheating, and only it in an adry environment.
  • Do not use the product in the immediate vicinities of heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Do not use the product in areas where the use of electronic devicesisnotpermitted.
  • Since the battery is integrated and cannot be removed, you will need to dispose of the product as a whole. Do this in compliance with the legal requirements.

Operation

4.1 Bluetooth pairing

Note

  • Check whether your mobile device (MP3player, mobile phone, etc.) is Bluetooth-capable.
  • The functions described in this section are only available for Bluetooth-capable terminal devices.
  • Note that the max. range of Bluetooth without any obstacles such as walls, people, etc. is 10 meters.
  • Make sure that your Bluetooth-capable terminal device is on and Bluetooth is activated.
  • Make sure that your Bluetooth-capable terminal device is visible for other Bluetooth devices.
  • Make sure that the speaker is located within the Bluetooth range of max. 10metres.
  • Switch the On/Off switch (5)to the ON position to switch the speaker on.The device emits a sound to indicate that it is ready for operation.
  • The speaker automatically searches for a connection. The blueLED display (7) flashes.
  • Open the Bluetooth settings on your terminal device and wait until Hama Speaker appears in the thelistofBluetooth devices found.
  • SelectHamaSpeakerand waits until you hear the speaker emit sound and the speaker is listed as connected in the Bluetooth settings on your terminal device.
  • Start and stop audio playback on your terminal device using Play/Pause (3) on the speaker.

Note–Bluetoothpassword
Some terminal devices require a password in order to connecttoanotherBluetooth device.

  • If your terminal device requests a password for connection with the speaker, enter 0000.

Note –Connection impaired
After the speaker and terminal device have been paired, a connection is established automatically. If the Bluetooth connection is not established automatically, check the following:

  • Check the Bluetoothsettingsofyour terminal device to see whether Hama Speaker is connected. If not, repeat the steps listed under Bluetooth pairing.
  • Check whether your terminal device and the speaker are less than 10 meters apart. If not, move them closer together.
  • Check whether obstacles are impairing the range. If so, move the devices closer together.
  • Check whether the audio cable is connected to the speaker.If so, disconnect it.

4.2 Automatic Bluetooth connection (after successful pairing)

  • Make sure that your Bluetooth-capable terminal device is on and Bluetooth is activated.
  • Make sure that your Bluetooth-capable terminal device is visible for other Bluetooth devices.
  • Make sure that the speaker is located within the Bluetooth range of max. 10 meters.
  • Switch the On/Off switch (5)to the ON position to switch the speaker on. The device emits a sound to indicate that it is ready for operation.
  • After a successful connection, the blue LED indicator (7) will flash.
  • Start and stop audio playback on your terminal device using Play/Pause (3) on the speaker.

4.3 Hands-free function
You can use the speaker as a hands-free set for your mobile phone. For this function, the mobile phone must be connected to the speaker via Bluetooth.

  • Make sure that your mobile phone is connected to the Bluetooth speaker.
  • If you receive an acallonyourmobile phone, an announcement of the telephone number will play.
  • Press Call (3) to accept the call.
  • Press Call (3) again to end the call.

Note–Call quality
To increase the call quality, make sure that you are near the speaker with your mobile phone during the call.
4.4 Battery charging function

  • Connect the included USB charging cable to the speaker’s socket (6).
  • Connect the unusedplugonthe USB cable to an available USB port on your computer or another suitable USB device.
  • The indicator (7)will light up in red during active charging. If the battery is fully charged, the red indicator (7) will go out.
  • Please charge the speaker for at least 4 hours before using it for the first time.

Care and maintenance

Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
