PARTS & ASSEMBLY
HOW TO OPERATE
TO COOK RICE
-
Before first use, wipe down all surfaces with a non-abrasive, damp cloth and dry.
-
Find a clean, dry, non-slippery, level surface near an electrical outlet.
-
Allow about eight inches of cleared space all around the exterior of the unit.
-
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
-
Prepare the ingredients for the food to be cooked.
-
NEVER leave the appliance unattended.
-
Using the measuring cup provided, measure out the desired amount of rice.
One full, level cup of uncooked rice will yield two cups of cooked rice. -
Rinse rice in a separate container until the water becomes clear. Place rinsed rice in the inner pot.
-
Using a measuring cup, add the appropriate amount of water.
For softer rice, allow rice to soak for 10-20 minutes. -
Remove foods from the removable bowl using plastic or wooden spoons. DO
NOT use metal utensils, as they may scratch and damage the bowl. -
Once the appliance is completely cool, remove the bowl to empty and clean. It is important to match the temperature of the water used to clean to the temperature of the bowl.
TO STEAM FOOD
- Place food inside the bowl. Then place the bowl inside the inner pot.
- Add the necessary amount of water into the inner pot.
- Making sure that the outside surface of the inner pot is completely clean and dry, set the inner pot into the body of the rice cooker. Place the lid over the top and plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
- Press COOK. When steaming is complete, the unit will automatically switch to warm mode.
- We recommend keeping food on warm no longer than 5-10 minutes to avoid overcooking.
