FAQ

Who should not ride the scooter?

People who do not fall within the recommended age range of 14-60 years old, or exceed the maximum weight limit of 120kg, should not ride the scooter.

Safety Instructions

  • The electric scooter is a recreational device rather than a transporter. But once you ride it into a public community, it will also act as a transporter. Like any riding product, an electric scooter can and is intended to move and it is therefore, of course, possible to get into dangerous situations.

  • Please understand that you can reduce the risks by following all the instructions and warnings in this manual, but you cannot eliminate all the risks.

  • Remember that whenever you ride the scooter you risk injury or death from loss of control, collisions, and falls. The scooter is intended for use on flat pavement or level ground without bumps and obstacles. Be alert and slow down when entering unfamiliar areas.

  • Always wear a helmet when riding. Use an approved bicycle or scooter helmet that fits properly with the chin strap in place, and provides protection for the back of your head. A long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and athletic shoes are recommended. Never ride in high heels sandals, high-heeled shoes or barefooted. Long hair or bangs that can affect vision should be tied up to avoid accidents caused by hair-blocking vision.

  • Do not attempt your first ride in any area where you might encounter children, pedestrians, pets, vehicles, bicycles, or other obstacles and potential hazards.

  • Respect the rights and property of others. Pass on the left whenever possible. When approaching a pedestrian from the front, stay to the right and slow down. Be careful to avoid pedestrians, especially the old, children, the disabled, and pregnant women. When approaching from behind, announce yourself and slow down to walking speed when passing. Please obey local traffic laws and regulations if a situation is different.

  • In places without laws comply with the safety guidelines outlined in this manual. AEONLABS, INC. will not be responsible for any property damage, personal injury/death, accidents or legal disputes caused by violations of the safety instructions.

  • Do not allow anyone to ride your scooter on his/her own unless they have carefully read this manual and followed the riding guide video. The safety of new riders is your responsibility. Assist new riders until they are comfortable with the basic operation of the scooter. Make sure each new rider wears a helmet and other protective gear.

  • Before each ride check for loose fasteners and damaged components. If the scooter makes abnormal sounds or signals an alarm, immediately stop riding. Contact after-sales service email contact@vegogostore.com.

  • Be alert! Scan both far ahead and in front of your scooter – your eyes are your best tool for safely avoiding obstacles and low traction surfaces (including, but not limited to, wet ground, loose sand, loose gravel, and ice).

  • To reduce the risk of injury, you must read and follow all “CAUTION” and “WARNING” notices in this manual. Do not ride at an unsafe speed. Under no circumstance should you ride on roads with motor vehicles. The manufacturer recommends riders aged between 14-60 years old and weigh less than 120kg. People who should not ride the scooter include:

  • a. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • b. Anyone who suffers from a disease that puts them at risk if they engage in strenuous physical activity.

  • c. Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understanding the hazards involved.

  • Do not ride your scooter in wet or icy weather, or on roads that are wet, muddy, icy, or that are slippery for any reason. Do not ride over obstacles such as sand, loose gravel or sticks. Wet, slick, bumpy, uneven or rough surfaces may impair traction and contribute to a loss of balance or traction and could cause a fall.

  • Do not ride at night when visibility is limited.

  • Sudden acceleration or deceleration could lead to wheel slip, collision or falls.

  • Do not ride faster than the speed limit.

  • Do not attempt to charge your scooter if it, the charger or the power outlet is wet.

  • Please park on flat pavement, such as on a slope, the scooter kickstand must be facing downhill to prevent capsizing. Please check whether the scooter is parked stably to prevent it overturned.

  • Perform regular inspections of equipment and conduct regular cleaning on your scooter for a better ride experience.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the body of the scooter with a damp cloth. If stains persist, apply some toothpaste, brush with a toothbrush, and then wipe with a damp cloth.

NOTE

  • When cleaning the scooter, make sure that it is turned off, that the charging cable is disconnected, and the rubber cap is closed, as a water leak may cause damage to electronic components.
  • Do not clean the scooter with alcohol, petrol, kerosene or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvents, to avoid serious damage.
  • Do not wash the scooter with jets of high-pressure water.

Charging precautions:

  • Do not charge the scooter in a wet environment.
  • The best ambient temperature for charging is 0° C~40° C.
  • Keep out of reach of children and animals, and keep away from flammable materials while charging.
  • Do not store the scooter in environments with a temperature ranging from -20 ° C to 50° C. Do not put the battery pack into the fire. Doing so may cause fire, heat generation, leakage or bursting.
  • After each use, fully recharge the battery to extend its useful life. Completely draining the battery may permanently damage the battery.
  • Do not charge or use the battery if it smells, overheats or leaks.
  • Do not open the battery pack or insert anything into the charging port as it contains hazardous substances.
  • Please only use the original battery and adapter for your scooter.
  • Always comply with local environmental protection laws about battery recycling

Storage

  • When the scooter is not in use, store it in a cool, dry place. Do not store it outdoors for extended periods of time

NOTE

  • Excessive sunlight, overheating, and excessive cold accelerate tyre aging and jeopardize the life of both the scooter and the battery.

WARNING

  • Only use original batteries, as other models or brands may pose a safety risk.
  • Please do not exceed the specified temperature for battery storage or charging. (see specifications)
  • Do not touch the battery contacts. Do not dismantle or puncture the outer casing. Avoid contact between metal objects and battery terminals to prevent short circuits, physical harm or death.
  • Do not throw the battery into a fire as this could damage it, cause overheating or even a fire.
  • Do not charge or stop using the battery if it is damaged or flooded.
  • Do not attempt to remove the battery as you may damage the scooter.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble the battery to prevent fire hazards. Users are now not allowed to repair spare parts and components that come with the scooter.
  • Do not ride when the ambient temperature is higher than the operating temperature of the scooter (see Specifications) because low/high temperatures will limit the maximum power/torque. Doing so could cause personal injury or property damage due to slips or falls.
  • Improper disposal of used batteries seriously pollutes the environment. Follow local regulations regarding battery disposal. Follow battery disposal regulations to protect the environment.

Typically, a fully charged battery should retain power for 120-180 days. A low-power battery should retain power for 30–60 days. Remember to recharge it every 90 days to protect it from any damage. Electronics inside the battery record the charge-discharge condition of the battery, damage caused by over- charging or under-charging will not be covered by the limited warranty. A well-maintained battery can perform well even after many miles of riding. When used at room temperature 25 ° C, the battery range and performance is at its best; whereas using it at low temperatures can decrease range and performance. Battery range will recover when temperature rises
