IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical machine, especially when children are present, basic
safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Use this machine only for its intended use as described in your User manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.

Never operate this machine if it has a damaged cord or plug if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water. Return the machine to a service center for examination and repair.

Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

Do not wrap the cord around the machine.

Never block the air openings of the machine or place them on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.

Never use while sleeping.

Never drop or insert any objects into any openings.

Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

Do not use an extension cord with this machine.

Do not direct hot air toward the eyes or other heat-sensitive areas.

The air exit, metal ring, attachments, and area shaded in red may be hot during use. Allow them to cool before handling.

Do not place the machine on any surface while it is operating

While using the machine, keep hair away from the air inlets.

Do not operate with a voltage converter.

This machine is not suitable for use outside the United States of America.
READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS THIS DYSON MACHINE IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD AND COMMERCIAL USE ONLY OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS -
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this machine has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature and do not change the plugin anyway.

This machine is provided with a protective device (ALCI- Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter) that may make the machine inoperable under some abnormal conditions (such as immersion of the machine). If the machine becomes inoperable, return the machine to a service center for examination
and repair. -
The machine has a reset and test button built into the plug, which should be operated each time the machine is plugged in and used. To test: press the test button. The reset button will pop out, indicating that the machine is safe to use. To reset: unplug the machine and press the reset button. Plugin again to use your machine.

Note – If the ALCI trips while in use, the machine should be unplugged. Press the reset button and reinsert the plug into the outlet. If the ALCI immediately trips for a second time, unplug the machine and contact the Dyson Helpline.

If the machine does not operate in the proper functioning condition, it should be returned to a service center for examination and repair.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS -
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

Storage – important. When not in use, the machine should be unplugged, allowed to cool, and stored in a safe and dry location, out of reach of children. Do not pull the cord or wrap it around the machine. The cord should hang down or lie loose and straight at the entry point into the main body of the machine.

ALCI plug
Ensure you check the ALCI safety feature every time you use your machine. The
purpose of this test is to make sure the safety device is working.

To test: plug in the machine and press the ‘Test’ button.
The reset button will ‘click’ and pop out. If running, the machine will stop working.
To reset the ALCI, unplug and press the ‘Reset’ button and plug back in.

LOOKING AFTER YOUR DYSON MACHINE

Do not carry out any maintenance or repair work other than that shown and described in your Dyson User manual, or advised by the Dyson Helpline.

Always disconnect the plug from the main outlet before inspecting for problems. If the machine will not operate, first check that the mains outlet has an electricity supply and that the plug is properly inserted into the outlet.
DISPOSAL INFORMATION -
Dyson products are made from high-grade recyclable materials. Recycle where possible.
LIMITED 2-YEAR WARRANTY
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE DYSON 2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
WHAT IS COVERED -
Your Dyson machine is warranted against original defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase when used in accordance with the Dyson User manual. Please retain your proof of purchase. If you do not have your proof of purchase, your warranty will start 90 days after the date of manufacture, according to Dyson’s records. This warranty provides, at no extra cost to you, all labor and parts necessary to ensure your machine is in proper operating condition during the warranty period. The replacement of any part of your machine under warranty will not extend the period of warranty; however, your warranty will be extended for any time your machine is being repaired or retained for work being performed under the warranty. Any parts which are returned and replaced by Dyson will become the property of Dyson. Please call the Dyson Helpline on 866-693-9766 for more information.

This warranty is only valid if the machine is used in the country in which it was sold.

For refurbished machines, the length of the warranty may differ, please see the warranty letter included with the machine for warranty terms. This limited warranty is subject to the following terms:
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Dyson shall not be liable for costs, damages, or repairs incurred as a result of, due to, or from: -
Damage caused by not carrying out the recommended machine maintenance

Careless operation or handling, misuse, abuse, and/or lack of maintenance or use not in accordance with the Dyson User manual.

Use of the machine for anything other than the use it is designed for.

Use of parts not in accordance with the Dyson User manual.

Use of parts and accessories other than those produced or recommended by Dyson.

Faulty installation (except where installed by Dyson).
-
Repairs or alterations carried out by unauthorized parties or agents.

Normal wear and tear (e.g. fuse etc.).

External sources such as weather, electrical outages, or power surges.

Blockages – please refer to the illustrations and the section ’Regular filter maintenance‘ in your Dyson User manual for details on how to look for and clear blockages.

Damage as a result of use is not in accordance with the rating plate.

Additionally, this limited warranty does not apply to any machine that has had the serial number altered or removed. If you are in any doubt as to what is covered by your warranty, please contact Dyson.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS -
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranties relating to your machine including but not limited to the warranty of merchantability or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this warranty.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, your remedy for breach of this warranty is limited to the warranty service described below. Dyson will not be liable for any consequential damages or incidental damages you may incur in connection with your purchase and use of your machine.

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary by State. This limited warranty is not transferable.

The limitations or exclusions of liability stated herein apply in the state of New Jersey, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
WARRANTY SERVICE -
You may have opted to auto-register your machine.
If you have not, please visit www.dyson.com to register your machine. -
Before a service can take place, the terms of the warranty require that you contact the Dyson Helpline with your model name/number, serial number, date, and place of purchase.

Please keep your purchase receipt in a safe place to ensure that you have this information.

All work will be coordinated by Dyson or its authorized agents.

Any replaced defective parts will become the property of Dyson.

Service under this warranty will not extend the period of this warranty; however, your warranty will be extended for any time your machine is being repaired or retained for work being performed under the warranty.
