Product Description

FORA® Safety Lancets are sterile, single-use automated devices for skin puncture. The device consists of a stainless steel lancet in plastic housing. The lancet is manufactured from stainless steel and retracts automatically and permanently after a puncture, allowing controlled length and depth of the incision.

Intended Use

FORA ® Safety Lancets are designed for use in the daily capillary blood collection performed by qualified personnel. They are for single-use and should only be used by adequately trained healthcare professionals in clinical settings.

Safety Information

Read the following Safety Information thoroughly before using the device.

  • Use this device ONLY for the intended use described in this manual.
  • Do NOT use accessories that are not specified by the manufacturer.
  • Do NOT use the device if the protective tab has been removed.
  • Before using the safety lancet, read all the instructions thoroughly.
  • Keep the safety lancets away from young children.
  • HBV, HCV, HIV, and other infectious diseases can be transmitted through contact with biological samples.
  • Discard all FORA ® Safety Lancets in biohazard containers approved for their disposal.
  • Please wear disposable gloves during venipuncture and when handling blood collection tubes.
  • Do NOT use FORA ® Safety Lancets after the expiry date.

Safety Information

Obtaining the Blood Sample
Please follow the instructions below before obtaining a drop of blood:

  • Wash and dry your hands before starting.
  • Select the puncture site on your fingertips.
  • Rub the puncture site for about 20 seconds before penetration.

Preparing the Safety Lancet

  1. Twist and remove the cap.

  2. Press the lancet gently against the test site.

  3. Gently squeeze the finger to obtain a drop of blood.

  4. Discard used lancet in a puncture-resistant container.

  • Do not use if the protective cap has been removed.

Important Information

  • Storage condition: -20°C~50°C (-4°F~122°F), below ≤80% relative humidity.
  • Store the safety lancets in a cool and dry place. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Use each safety lancet immediately after removing the protective cap.
  • Do not use the safety lancets beyond the expiry date.
  • Keep the safety lancets away from children since they may be choking hazards.
