INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing a product from Salling. You have acquired a quality product which meets all applicable performance and safety standards in the EU. In order to ensure proper treatment and a long product life, we recommend that you comply with the instructions below.
Please read the manual and especially the safety instructions carefully before using the product. Keep this manual and provide it for referral along with the product when others are using it.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Improper use of the product can cause personal injury and damage.
  • Only use the product for what it is intended. The manufacturer is not liable for damages arising from improper use or handling.
  • Always place the product on a dry, flat and stable surface well away from table edge or similar.
  • The product is intended for household use only. The product is not for professional use.
  • The product may only be connected to 220-240V~, 50/60Hz.
  • The product engine/electronics, cord or plug cannot be submerged in water, and no water may get in contact with the engine/electronics.
  • Never touch the product, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.
  • Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, dust or corrosive substances.
  • Never leave the product when it is turned on. When the product is in use, it should be kept under constant supervision. Children should always be supervised when using the product to ensure that they do not play with the product. The product is not a toy.
  • The product may have sharp parts and must, therefore, be kept out of reach of children.
  • Only use the accessories that come with the product or that are recommended by the manufacturer.
  • This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years of age.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

CORD AND PLUG

  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge.
  • Keep the cord and the product away from heat sources, hot objects and open flames.
  • Unplug the power cord before cleaning and if the product is not in use. Do not pull the cord when removing the plug from the socket, rather grasp the plug itself.
  • Make sure that the cord is fully extended.
  • Check regularly that the cord and the plug are not damaged and do not use the product if this is the case, or if it has been dropped on the floor, dropped in water or damaged in another way.
  • If the product or plug is damaged, the product must be inspected and, if necessary, repaired by an authorised repairer. Never try to repair the product yourself. Please, contact the store to see if there is a repair that falls under warranty. Tampering of the product will void the warranty.

  • If the above is not observed.
  • If there has been unauthorised intervention of the product.

INTRODUCTION

This Air fryer provides an easy and healthy way of preparing your favorite ingredients. By using hot rapid air circulation, it can make numerous dishes. The best part is that the Air fryer heats food in all directions and most of the ingredients do not need any oil.

DANGER

  • Do not let any water or other liquid enter the appliance to prevent electric shock.
  • Always put the ingredients to be fried on the frying rack in the frying basket, to prevent ingredients from coming into contact with the heating elements.
  • Do not cover the air inlet and the air outlet while the appliance is in use.
  • Do not fill the frying basket with oil as this may cause a fire hazard.
  • Never touch the inside of the appliance while it is in use.
  • The surface temperature may be high when the appliance is in use.
  • During air frying, hot steam is released through the air outlet openings. Keep your hands and face at a safe distance from the steam and from the air outlet openings. Also, be careful of hot steam and air when you remove the frying basket from the appliance.
  • Immediately unplug the appliance if you see dark smoke coming out of the appliance. Wait for the smoke emission to stop before you remove the frying basket from the appliance.

  • Ensure the appliance is placed on a horizontal, even, and stable surface.
  • This appliance is designed for household use only.
  • Always unplug the appliance when not in use.

IMPORTANT!
Please make sure that your appliance is received with the right components shown above. Check everything carefully before use.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Remove all packaging materials.
  2. Remove any stickers or labels from the appliance.
  3. Thoroughly clean the frying rack and frying baskets with hot water, some washing-up liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge.
  4. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.

This is an oil-free fryer that works on hot air, do not fill the frying basket with oil or frying fat directly.

Notice: When your air fryer is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal with many heating appliances. This does not affect the safety of your appliance.

HOW TO USE THE CONTROL BASKETEL

Control Panel

Power Button

  • Once the appliance is plugged in, the Power Button will light up and the appliance is in standby mode.
  • Touch the power button, it shows “on” and basket 1 and 2 on the control basketel.
  • Touch the power button at any time during the cooking process, the control basketel will switch OFF immediately and the appliance will shut down at the same time.

Basket Buttons

  • Touch basket 1 or 2 to light up the control basketel for setting.

Preset Functions

  • The preset functions will help you to start cooking efficiently.
  • Select any of the icons, this will automatically set the Time and Temperature to a default setting for the selected food type. You can over-ride the default presets with time and temperature buttons. The choose icon will keep blinking until the cooking process has started.
  • The preset settings are as follows:

Note: use the below table for reference only. Actual cooking time and temperature may have to be adjusted depending on the food quantity or size.

Note: Turn or shake the ingredients once during frying if needed.

Time Setting Buttons

  • Use the time control button for the cooking time of the corresponding basket setting.
  • Time control buttons enable you to select exact cooking time by minute. You can increase or decrease time by 1 minute from 1-60 minutes.
  • You can touch the time setting buttons to set the time before or during cooking.
  • Press and hold the time setting buttons for faster increments of the time.

Temperature Setting Buttons

  • Use the temperature control button for the cooking temperature of the corresponding basket setting.
  • Temperature control buttons enable you to raise or lower cooking temperature by 5°C starting from 80°C to 200°C under normal operating conditions, and 40°C to 70°C under preset function on defrost.
  • You can touch the temperature setting buttons to set the temperature before or during cooking.
  • Press and hold the temperature setting buttons for faster increments of the temperature.

Digital Display

  • The Digital Display shows the time and temperature in alternate turns.
  • It shows set time and temperature during setting and the remaining time and cooking temperature during cooking.
  • Check the correct time and temperature for the corresponding basket

SYNC BASKETS

  • To match settings across both baskets (both baskets fry at the same temperature and for the same duration) press the sync basket button.

SYNC Finish

  • To stop matching settings across both baskets, press the SYNC Finish button. The frying process of both baskets are stopped simultaneously.

COOKING WITH YOUR AIR FRYER

  1. Connect the supply cord plug into a mains power outlet socket. The appliance is now in standby mode.

  2. Place the ingredients into the baskets. Do not fill more than 2kg food in each basket.

  3. Slide the baskets back into the appliance.
    CAUTION! Do not touch the baskets during use or immediately after use, as the baskets gets very hot during and after cooking. Only hold by the handle.

  4. Touch the power button. Select the basket to set the cooking process.

  5. Select a preset function or set the time and temperature manually for the baskets one by one. Then touch the start buttons to start cooking.

  6. For cooking some ingredients, it may require turning the contents in the basket or adding a small quantity of oil during the cooking process to ensure even cooking and avoid charring of ingredients positioned at the top of the basket. When this is needed, you can pull out the basket. The appliance will stop heating automatically. After turning or adding oil, place the basket back into the appliance to resume cooking.
    NOTE: You may slide out the basket to check at any time during the cooking process.
    The appliance will pause when the basket is taken out or powered off. The appliance will continue the cooking process once the basket is slid back in.

  7. You can reset the time and temperature settings during the cooking process if required.

  8. When you hear the “beep-beep” sound, the set time is elapsed, and the cooking cycle is completed. The appliance is now in standby mode.

  9. Check if the ingredients are cooked to your satisfaction. If not, set the timer for a few more minutes until the ingredients are cooked to your satisfaction.

  10. Remove the basket from the appliance. Only hold it by the handle as other surfaces will be hot. Place the basket on a flat, firm, and heat-resistant surface. During the cooking process, oil from food will drip and be collected on the bottom of the basket. This can be cleaned at the end of the cooking process when the basket has cooled down.

  11. After use, remove the plug from the wall socket immediately and allow the appliance to cool down completely

CAUTION!
Beware of escaping steam from the basket, as there is a danger of scalding. Do not turn the basket with ingredients upside down when tipping the contents onto a dish. Excess oil may have collected in the basket, it could drip out and cause scalding.

IMPORTANT! NEVER LEAVE THE APPLIANCE UNATTENDED WHEN IN USE.

TIPS:
This appliance can prepare a myriad of dishes. You can look for inspiration on the internet or buy an air fryer cookbook.

  1. Smaller ingredients usually require a shorter cooking time than larger ingredients.
  2. A larger amount of ingredients will require a longer cooking time.
  3. Turning smaller ingredients halfway during the cooking process will provide better cooking results and can help prevent unevenly fried ingredients.
  4. To remove large individual or delicate ingredients from the basket, do not tip them out. Pick them up with a pair of tongs.
  5. Do not prepare extremely greasy ingredients such as sausages in the air fryer.
  6. Snacks that can be prepared in an oven can also be prepared in the fryer.
  7. Place a baking tin or oven dish in the air fryer basket if you want to bake a cake/quiche or if you want to fry fragile ingredients.
  8. You can also use the air fryer to reheat ingredients. To reheat ingredients, set the temperature to 150°C for up to 10 minutes.
  9. For best results with homemade chips, soak the cut chips in water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Dry on kitchen paper and toss in 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil (or lightly spray with olive oil spray) until the chips are coated.
  10. For a crispy homemade coating, mix fine breadcrumbs with a tablespoon of olive oil.
  11. Pre-packed snacks like breadcrumbed fish or chicken drumsticks only need to be coated lightly with olive oil.
  12. This appliance can prepare a myriad of dishes. You can look for inspiration on the internet or buy a recipe book for an air fryer.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that the cooking manual is indicative and for your reference only. Variations in size, shape, and brand may require an increase or decrease in cooking time and temperature setting to achieve the desired and best cooking outcome.

This type of heating technology reheats the air inside the appliance instantly, so pulling the basket briefly out of the appliance to overturn ingredients during cooking will barely disturb the process.

CLEANING

Clean the appliance after every use.
Frying basket and Frying rack: Do not use metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials to clean them, as this may damage the non-stick coating.

  1. Remove the mains plug from the wall socket and let the appliance cool down. Note: Remove the frying baskets to let the air fryer cool down more quickly.
  2. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.
  3. Clean the frying baskets and frying rack with hot water, some washing-up liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge.You can use degreasing liquid to remove any remaining dirt. Tips: If dirt is stuck to the frying rack or the bottom of the frying baskets, fill the baskets with hot water with some washing-up liquid. Put the rack in the frying baskets and let the baskets and the rack soak for approximately 10 minutes.
  4. Clean the inside of the appliance with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge.
  5. Clean the heating element with a cleaning brush to remove any food residues

TROUBLESHOOTING

White smoke comes out of the appliance.  You are preparing greasy ingredients. Fresh fries are fried unevenly in the air fryer.You did not use the right potato type. Fresh fries are not crispy when they come out of the air fryer. The crispiness of the fries depends on the amount of oil and water in the fries.

Fried snacks are not crispy when they come out of the air fryer.| You used a type of snacks meant to be prepared in a traditional deep fryer.| Use oven snacks or lightly brush some oil onto the snacks for a crispier result.
I cannot slide the frying basket into the appliance properly.| There are too many ingredients in frying basket.| Do not fill the basket beyond the MAX indication.
The frying basket is not placed correctly.| Push the frying basket into the main housing properly
When you fry greasy ingredients in the air fryer, a large amount of oil will leak into the basket. The oil produces white smoke, and the basket may heat up more than usual. This does not affect the appliance or the end result.
The basket still contains grease residues from previous use.| White smoke is caused by grease heating up in the frying basket. make sure you clean the frying basket properly after each use.
Use fresh potatoes and make sure they stay firm during frying.
You did not rinse the potato sticks properly before you fried them.| Rinse the potato sticks properly to remove starch from the outside of the sticks.
Make sure you dry the potato sticks properly before you add the oil.
| Cut the potato sticks smaller for a crispier result.
| Add slightly more oil for a crispier result.
