Intended Use
The LifeGoods Smart Digital Scale uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology. This appli-ance is intended exclusively for measuring your Weight, BMI, Body Fat, Fat Free Body Weight, Subcuta-neous Fat, Heart Rate, Hart Index, Visceral Fat, Body Water, Skeletal Muscle, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, Protein, BMR, Body Age and Body Balance Function. The Smart Digital Scale is designed and intended for private, non-commercial use only. Persons (including children under the age of 18) with physical, sen-sory or mental disabilities, or persons (including children) with lack of experience with and knowledge of the device should NOT measure body fat. The Bluetooth scale should not be used to diagnose or treat any medical condition. You should consult a doctor when undertaking any diet or exercise program. The scale is not intended to be wet.

Warnings and Safety Instructions

Please ensure that the packaging is kept out of the reach of children! Risk of suffocation!

• Be aware of the risks and consequences resulting from misuse of the Smart Digital Scale. Misuse can result in personal injury, or destruction of the scale.
• Use the Smart Digital Scale only for purposes described in this user manual.
• If the Smart Digital Scale malfunctions, is dropped or (appears to be) damaged in any manner, do NOT use it and contact Customer Service.
• The Smart Digital Scale is designed and intended for private, non-commercial use only.

Persons

• This device is equipped with BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis) to measure body fat. Persons (including children under the age of 18) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or persons (including children) with lack of experience with and knowledge of the device should NOT measure body fat.
• Measuring weight is allowed ONLY if they are supervised or have been given instruction concerning the use by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children shall not play with the appliance.

Medical remarks

• The Bluetooth scale should not be used to diagnose or treat any medical condition. You should consult a doctor when undertaking any diet or exercise program.

• Do NOT use the device or consult your physician:
  • If you are pregnant;
  • If you have medical implants (such as a pacemaker). The Smart Body Fat Scale can disrupt the working of the implant;
  • During or immediately after strenuous activities;
  • Immediately after taking a shower, a bath or going to the sauna;
  • When you have consumed alcohol;
  • During or immediately after eating;
  • When you are running a fever;
  • If you have any unexplained pain, if you are undergoing medical treatment or using medical equipment.

• The measurement of body fat can be inaccurate when you have diabetes or another medical or physical condition.

• The measurement of body fat can be inaccurate when you are an athlete.

Use

• Before using the scale, make sure that you have entered all your personal data through the “Fitdays” app.
• Always weigh yourself at the same time of day and under similar circumstances to ensure that the results are comparable.
• The Smart Body Fat Scale has a max. load bearing capacity of 180 kg (400 lbs.). Exceeding this weight limit can cause damages to the device and personal injuries.
• To ensure weighing accuracy, please gently step on the scale to wake it up and wait at least 10 seconds before stepping on the scale.
• Always use the scale while barefoot. The scale cannot measure the body fat percentage if you’re wearing shoes or socks.
• Do NOT stand on the outer edges of the scale. This can cause the scale to tilt over.
• Never jump or stamp on the scale. – Place the scale on a hard, flat surface during use. Using the scale on a soft surface like carpet or linoleum may affect the accuracy of the scale readings.
• Always place the scale on a flat and hard surface, and only use the device indoors.
• The surface of the scale can be slippery. – Protect the scale against impacts and shocks.
• Do NOT use the Smart Digital Scale in or near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or over a basin filled with water. Do NOT operate the device with damp or wet hands Make sure your feet are dry before stepping on the scale. Make sure to prevent any contact with water. Do NOT submerge the Smart Digital Scale in water. If water does get inside the casing, turn the Smart Digital Scale off immediately and contact our customer service.
• Keep the Smart Digital Scale away from heat and areas where the surrounding temperature is relatively hot (e.g. stoves or other sources of heat).
• Do NOT clean the scale with soap, aggressive, abrasive or foaming cleaning agents.

Electronics

• Do NOT reconstruct, repair or disassemble the Smart Digital Scale. This can damage the device. For safety reasons, these parts may only be replaced by authorized service personnel. In order to prevent hazards, always send the Smart Digital Scale to the service centre for repairs.

Batteries

• Batteries prove fatal when swallowed. Keep the batteries away from children.
• The service life of batteries is approximately one year. Replace the batteries on time.
• Batteries must be inserted according to the correct polarity as indicated on the scale.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the scale before charging.
• Do not try to short circuit the terminals or the batteries.
• Do not throw batteries into the fire. Do not attempt to crush, puncture or otherwise disassemble batteries for any reason.
• Do not dispose of batteries with your household waste. Batteries contain chemicals that are harmful to the environment. Improper use of the batteries may cause explosion and leakage of battery fluid. Recycle batteries when appropriate. Return batteries to a government-approved collection point for recycling.
• Do NOT expose the batteries to high temperatures or excessive heat.
• Leaking batteries can damage the device. Remove the batteries if you are not using the device for an extended period of time.
• Use gloves to remove leaking batteries. Clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth. If the batteries leak, avoid contact with skin, eyes, open skin or wounds. Wear gloves. In case of accidental exposure to battery fluid, rinse the affected areas with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention immediately. Remove the flat batteries from the device immediately as there is an increased risk of acid leakage.

Receiving Your Shipment

• When receiving your shipment, make sure that the contents are consistent with the packing list. Notify your distributor of any missing items. If the equipment appears to be damaged, file a claim immediately with the carrier and notify your distributor at once, giving a detailed description of any damage. Save the damaged packing container to substantiate your claim.

Operating Instructions

Always use the scale while barefoot. The scale cannot measure the body fat percentage if you’re wearing shoes or socks.
Do NOT stand on the outer edges of the scale. This can cause the scale to tilt over.

Note: make sure to download the Fitdays app and enter all your personal information before using the scale.
How to Use the Scale

1. Install the batteries in the back of the scale. We recommend replacing the batteries every 3 months, or when you are not using the scale for a longer period of time.
2. Place the scale on an even surface and wait at least 10 seconds before stepping on the scale. Tap with your foot on the scale to activate the display. Wait until the scale displays 0.0 before stepping on.
3. Step on the scale with bare feet. Make sure that your feet are not wet.
4. Put your feet on the electrodes and stand up straight. The scale will take your measurements.

How to Download the Fitdays App

1. Go to the App Store (Apple) or Play Store (Android) and download the app “Fitdays”, or scan de QR-codes below:

2. Open the app and press “Register”.
3. Enter your email address, create a password,and press “Next”.
4. Fill out your personal data and press “Confirm”.
5. Turn on the bluetooth on your phone.

Pairing the Scale with your Smartphone

1. Press “Account” and press ” Device” to enter the measuring page and find the device.

2. Power on the scale by tapping it with your foot, press H and press “Searching bluetooth for pairing”.

3. Select “LG1178” and press “Confirm”.

4. The app will direct you back to the measuring page. Step on the scale with bare feet and stay there for 5-10 seconds. The scale will measure Weight, Body Balance and Heart Rate on the measure page. Body Balance
   When the weight is locked, the scale will measure your body balance. Adjust your body to achieve equal weight distribution during tracking. The display flashes and displays your final weight, as well as your balance status.
   You should pay more attention to your balance, when the following is data is shown:
   Weight L = Weight R; Health;
   Weight L > Weight R (or Weight L < Weight R).
   Heart Rate
   After determining your body balance, the scale will measure the body’s heart rate. The icon of a heart will flash when the scale is weighing and analysing. Keep standing on the scale until the measurement is finished and your phone has received all the data from the scale.

5. Once the analyses are complete they appear on the app and you can step off the scale.

6. After the weight has been locked, all body composition data can be read in the Fitdays App by clicking “More Data” on the measuring page. When you click Record, you can see your long-term tracking results.

Re-calibrating the scale

1. If the scale has been moved or flipped upside down, it must be recalibrated to ensure accurate results.
2. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
3. Step on the scale with one foot until the digits appear on the display and step off. The scale will show “0.00”, indicating that the calibration process is complete.

Accuracy Range

View, delete, and share data

1. View: click “Chart” to view your progress history.
2. Delete: Enter your data into the calendar to form a list and select a dataset or all data you want to delete.
3. Share: select the data you want to share, click on the share button He and share it via Facebook, Instagram or sms.

Add/Delete User & basic Settings

1. Go to your homepage, and click on “Add user” .
2. To delete an account, swipe the account to the left and select “Delete”.
3. Go to “Setting” ****to set Themes, Goals, Weight Units, Sounds, Languages, and Passwords.

Synchronize with your Fitness app
Apple Health:

1. Open the “Health” app on your iPhone and select “Data Sources”.
2. Select “Fitdays” from the list.
3. Turn on all categories to allow the Fitdays app to work.

Google Fit

1. Go to “Setting” ****, and select “Google Fit”.
2. Turn on “Google Fit” and login to your Google account.
3. You will be automatically redirected to the “Google Fit” page.
4. When the connection is established, the data will sync with Google Fit.

Fitbit App

1. Go to “Settings” **** , and select “Fitbit”.
2. Turn on Fitbit and login to your Fitbit account.
3. Select “Allow” to access the Fitbit App.
4. When the connection is established, the data (Weight, body Fat %, BMI) will sync with your Fitbit app. You can view the data on both the app and the web.

Probleemoplossing Foutcodes

1. No display

Bluetooth is not connected

• Both the scale and smartphone must have bluetooth turned on.
• Check the iOS version of your smartphone; it must be iOS 8.0 or higher / Android 6.0 or higher.
• Click Me -> device to find the scale.

The scale is not measuring body fat data when weighing:

• You have to be barefoot to measure body fat.
• Make sure your feet and the scale are both dry.
• The scale is not finished with weighing when the number displayed is flashing. Keep standing on the scale for about 10 seconds, until the number on the display stops flashing.
• Bluetooth is not turned on.
• Bluetooth is connected to a different scale.

The scale is producing inconsistent measurements:

• Check whether the scale is on a hard, flat surface.
• Check each sensor foot on the back to make sure nothing is stuck to the bottom.
• Remove the batteries to restart the scale.

The app is displaying an incorrect body fat rate:

• The body parameter setting is incorrect, check to make sure that you enter the correct gender, height, and age.

The scale does not turn on:

• Remove the batteries and put them back. Make sure to insert the batteries as directed.

Maintenance and Cleaning

• Use a damp cloth or glass cleaner to clean the surface of the scale. Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents or cleaning supplies

Storage

• Store the scale in a clean and dry place. Store the device in temperatures between -20°C and 60°C.

Disposal – Recycle

• Contribute to a cleaner living environment! Do not dispose of the scale or the batteries with the household waste. For proper recycling, please contact your local authority or your household waste disposal service for further details on your nearest designated collection point.

Service and Warranty

• Life Goods provides a 2 year warranty on its products. To obtain service during the warranty period, the product needs to be returned with a proof of purchase. Product defects have to be reported within 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover: damages caused by misuse or incorrect repair; parts subject to wear; defects that the customer was aware of at the time of purchase; damages or defects caused by customer neglect; damages or defects caused by third parties.
