MORSE CODE

START-UP GUIDE

This section explains how to use your new walkie-talkies. It is recommended to read the complete user guide for detailed instructions and safety warnings.

  1. Take out the belt-clip from each walkie-talkie. To do so, push the belt clip upwards while lifting the latch.
  2. Insert the 3 x LR03/AAA batteries (not included) in each walkie-talkie. The battery compartment is located at the back of the unit. Put back the belt clip on each walkie-talkie.
  3. To turn the walkie-talkies on, move the 2 / 1 / switch to the “ 1 ” or “ 2 ” position. The walkie-talkies have two channels, numbered 1 and 2. To communicate with other users within range, you must all have your walkie-talkies tuned to the same channel.
  4. Press the TALK button, and talk to the other user. Release the key to listen to the other end. Note: it is recommended to use the walkie-talkies within a distance of 1.2 miles / 2 km in outdoor conditions, in a flat open area. The transmission range depends on the relief and weather conditions.
  5. Press the Morse key to create light messages for your secret contact. Do not forget to direct the light beam to the person you wish to send a message to. Please refer to the Morse code table on page 2 to compose your light messages. Short press the Morse key to making a dot (.) and long-press the same key to make a dash (-).

BATTERY INFORMATION

The Walkie-Talkies work with 3 X 1.5V AAA/LR03 type batteries (3 batteries per unit).

  1. Using a screwdriver, open the battery compartment cover located at the back of the unit. Make sure to remove the belt clip first.
  2. Install the 3 x LR03/AAA batteries observing the polarity indicated at the bottom of the battery compartment, and as per the diagram shown opposite.
  3. Close the battery compartment and tighten the screw.

Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. Do not throw batteries into a fire. Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the game for a long period of time. The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.

WARNING : Mal-function or loss of memory may be caused by strong frequency interference or electrostatic discharge. Should any abnormal function occur, remove the batteries and insert them again.

  • To reduce radio frequency exposure when you’re using your Talkie-Walkie, hold the handset at least 25mm from your face.
  • Never use your walkie-talkies outdoors in a thunderstorm.
  • Don’t use your PMR in the rain.
  • If your PMR becomes wet, turn it off and remove the battery pack. Dry the battery compartment and leave the battery cover off for a few hours. Don’t use the PMR until it is completely dry.
  • Keep the PMR out of the reach of babies and young children.

The device complies with RF specifications when used near your body or at a distance of 0mm from the front of the face. Ensure that the device accessories, such as a device case and device holster, are not composed of metal components. Keep the device away from your body to meet the distance requirement.

CAUTION
RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTION.
– Keep minimum distances around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation;
– The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.;
– No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus;
– The apparatus can be used in tropical and/or moderate climates.
– Batteries should be disposed of safely. Take them to the collection container in order to protect the environment;

MAINTENANCE AND WARRANTY

Only use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the unit. Do not use detergent. Do not to expose the unit to direct sunlight or any other heat source. Do not immerse the unit in water. Do not dismantle or drop the unit. Do not try to twist or bend the unit. If the unit malfunctions, try to change the batteries first. If this proves to be ineffective, read the instruction manual again.
NOTE: please keep this instruction manual, it contains important information.
This product is covered by our 3-month warranty. For any claim under the warranty or after-sale service, please contact your distributor and present a valid proof of purchase. Our warranty covers any manufacturing material and workmanship defect, with the exception of any deterioration arising from the non-observance of the instruction manual or from any careless action implemented on this item (such as dismantling, exposition to heat, and humidity, etc.). It is recommended to keep the packaging for any further reference.
