Gimasi SA 2AXU7 Tracker

Introduction

TheNODE comes in 3 variants:

  • TheNODE ­ standard version
  • TheNODE LCD ­ with LCD screen
  • TheNODE IO ­ with IO ports

All variants have the same mechanical and basic electronic configuration

Startup

TheNode comes already pre-configured and now specific configuration is needed.

The device arrives with batteries disconnected, so it is necessary to open the case and connect the battery cable.

The TheNODE LCD versions has also a button present on the top panel, which has to be pressed to power up the device.

For this version please follow the attached document LCD Screen Description with the explanations of the functions displayed.

Power Supply

TheNODE comes with rechargeable batteries that are fully charged and ready for operation.

There is a 2 pin power supply connector and that needs to be attached to DC supply for charging the device.

TheNODE IO version has a 8 pin connector which includes the power supply, see image to identity plus and minus terminal.

For all version the power supply must be: 5 ­ 36 DC 0.5A.

Installation

The device is to be used as a standalone device with no fixed installation. In case a fixed installation is needed it is possible only using the approved mounting foot kit 1554FT from Hammond Manufacturing (https://www.hammfg.com/part/1554FT).

Maintenance

No regular maintenance is necessary for the device.
In any case of malfunctioning please return the device and do not attempt to fix it.

The Antennas supplied with the device are:

RF Radiation Exposure statement

This product complies with FCC and ISED radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. The antenna should be installed and operated with minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body.

Warnings

Particular attention is only required when attaching the device to an external power supply, that has to be plugged respecting the polarity of the pinout and has to have the correct voltage as specified in the introduction.

TheNODE and TheNODE IO is supplied in a IP65 casing and cannot be used underwater.

TheNODE ­ LCD variant is only IP55 and thus particular attention has to be used if installed outdoors under direct rain.
