Battery Precautions
- Clever Cats and remote controls are powered by lithium battery packs which are not user replaceable.
- Do not attempt to remove the battery packs.
Care & Maintenance
- If necessary, wipe the Clever Cats gently with a clean damp cloth.
- Keep the Clever Cats away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Do not allow the Clever Cats to come into contact with water or other liquids.
- In the event of static, your Clever Cats may malfunction. In this case, please switch it off and then back on again to reset it.

Know Your Clever Cats
Using Your Clever Cats
Your Clever Cats have been designed so that they can all operate simultaneously. They use four separate channels on 2.4G frequency. If you have more than 4 Clever Cats, you will have to use them in separate rooms, because colours which are the same operate on the same channel.
- To switch the Clever Cats on, move the slide switch under the cats to the ON position.
- To operate the remote control move the ON/OFF switch to the ON position
- The correct coloured remote control must be used with the cat of the same colour for them to work.
- To enable sound on the Clever Cats move the sound ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
- When the batteries are low, the Clever Cats will operate intermittently. Place them into the docking station to charge the batteries.
The Clever Cats have a one button control. Press and hold the button to move forward, release and press again and the cats will turn clockwise.
Press and hold the button again to move forward. If you touch or stroke the top of the cat, the cat will make a meow sound and the cats eyes will light orange.
Your cat should move forward in a straight line, if for any reason it doesn’t, you can adjust this left or right by using the tracking dial on the reverse of the handset.
We’re delighted that this is a rechargeable resource. They don’t need batteries. Simply place the cats back on the docking station, recharge and go.
Recharging Your Clever Cats and Remotes
- Insert the battery charger cable into the charging socket underneath the docking station.
- Plug the battery charger into a wall socket.
- Place the Clever Cats and remote controllers into the sockets.
- The red LEDs on Clever Cats and remotes will flash red to show that the batteries are low and your product needs charging.
- The eyes of the Clever Cats and the LEDs on the remote control will light red when charging.
- The LEDs will turn green when fully charged.
- It may take up to 4 hours to fully charge if the battery has been fully discharged.
- Only charge your Clever Cats and remotes in the docking station and only use the battery charger provided.
- Once fully charged your Clever Cats will have approx. 3 hours life (depending on the amount of movement).
Troubleshooting
Your Clever Cats have been designed to work within an Early Years environment.
However, it is not designed to be dropped or trodden on or otherwise
mistreated.
Under no circumstances should you open up the Clever Cats or remote controls
as this will invalidate your warranty.
Please read all instructions carefully before using. Please retain these instructions for future reference.

This product is provided with a one year warranty for problems found during normal usage. Mistreating the Clever Cats or opening the unit will invalidate this warranty. All out of warranty repairs will be subject to a replacement fee.
