Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to
comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage
to the appliance:

Safety Information
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the in-ternal packing. If you pass the appliance on to a third party, always include all the relevant documents.
- The appliance is intended for private use only and not for commercial use.
- Only use the appliance for its intended purpose.
- Do not operate a damaged appliance.
- Keep it away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture (never immerse it in liquids) and sharp edges.
- Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Handling Batteries
- Do not charge batteries
- Do not disassemble batteries
- Do not short-circuit batteries
- Keep away from children
- Observe polarity (+ / −)!
- The danger of explosion!
- Do not expose batteries to intense heat, such as sunshine, fire or similar.
- Batteries can leak battery acid. If the appliance will not be used for a longer period of time, remove the batteries.
- If a battery leaks, do not rub the liquid into the eyes or mucous membranes. In case of contact, wash hands, rinse eyes with clean water. Seek medical attention if any discomfort persists.
- Different battery types and new and used batteries must not be used together.
- Batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Return used batteries to the responsible collection points or to the dealer.
Warnings for the Use of the Appliance
WARNING
If the weighing surface is damp or there are drops of water on it, wipe it dry
first. There is a risk of slipping!
- When the bathroom scale is not in use, store it only in a horizontal position.
- Avoid excessive shock and vibration. Do not drop the appliance on the floor.
Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
- Check the appliance for possible transport damage to avoid hazards. Do not operate a damaged appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately
Inserting the Batteries
(Batteries not included)
- Remove the cover of the battery compartment at the bottom of the appliance.
- Insert 2 × type AAA / R03 batteries into the battery compartment. Please ensure correct polarity. You will find a note in the battery compartment. Do not use rechargeable batteries/accumulators.
- Close the battery compartment with the cover again.
- If the message “ ” appears on the display, replace the batteries.
Notes for Use
- The bathroom scale is designed for a maximum weight of 180 kg.
- To obtain a comparable value, we recommend that you always weigh yourself at the same time of day without clothes and shoes.
- The bathroom scale rounds up or down in steps of 100 g.
Operation
- Place the bathroom scale on a hard, flat surface (avoid carpeted floors). Uneven floors cause inaccuracies.
- Switch on the bathroom scale by applying pressure with your foot on the weighing surface.
- The value “ 0.0 ” appears.
- There is a small button (UNIT) on the back of the bathroom scale. Press this button when the bathroom scale is switched on to select between the “kg”, “lb” and “st” setting.
- Stand on the bathroom scale with both feet.
- Distribute your weight evenly and maintain while the bathroom scale determines your weight.
- The symbol in the display flashes first and then your exact weight is displayed.
- When you leave the bathroom scale, it switches off automatically after approx. 10 seconds. This prolongs the battery life.
- If no weight is determined while “ 0.0 ” is displayed, the bathroom scale switches off automatically after approx. 10 seconds.
- If “ ” appears in the display, the weight is over 180 kg. In this case, step off the bathroom scale immediately, otherwise the scale may be damaged.
Cleaning
CAUTION
- Do not immerse the bathroom scale in water, this could destroy the electronics.
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Clean the appliance with a slightly damp, not wet, cloth. Make sure that no moisture or liquid enters the appliance!
- You can use a commercially available washing-up liquid or a simple soap as an additive.
- After cleaning, dry the appliance well with a dry, soft cloth.
This appliance has been tested according to all applicable, current CE directives and built according to the latest safety regulations.
Disposal
Battery Disposal
As a consumer, you are obliged by law to return old batteries / accumulators. Your appliance is powered by batteries. If these batteries are spent, follow the instructions below:
CAUTION
Batteries / rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste!
- The batteries must be removed from the appliance.
- Take spent batteries to the appropriate collection point or to a dealer.
- Your town or local authority can provide information about public collection points.
Meaning of the “Dustbin” Symbol
- Protect our environment: do not dispose of elec-trical equipment in the domestic waste. Please return any electrical equipment that you will no longer use to the collection points provided for their disposal.
This helps avoid the potential effects of incorrect disposal on the environment and human health. This will contribute to the recycling and other forms of re-utilisation of electrical and electronic equipment. Information concerning where the equipment can be disposed of can be obtained from your local authority. Your dealer and contractual partner is also obliged to take back the old appliance free of charge.
