App Installation
Search for “Xsmartview” in the App Store or Google Play Store, or scan the QR code below to download the app.
Setting Up the Router
This device is compatible with 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. The Wi-Fi password should not include any special characters such as ~!@#$%A&*(). When the device is configured via Wi-Fi, make sure your mobile phone and device are as close to the router as possible, as this can speed up device configuration.
Signing Up
- Open the Xsmartview App and select “Sign Up.”
- Enter a valid email address and password, then select “Accept Privacy Notices and Terms of Service.”
- Tap “Sign Up.” You should receive an activation email. Follow the link to activate your account.
- Enter your username and password to log into the app.
Before connecting the camera:
- Make sure you know your correct Wi-Fi network name and password.
- To ensure a smoother video experience on your smartphone, it is recommended that your smartphone meet the following minimum requirements:
iOS: iOS 11 or higher
Android: Version 4.1 or higher, and contains a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)
Note: For the best experience, please make sure the app is updated to the latest version!
Turning On the Camera
Connect the power adapter to a power source and camera. The camera will automatically turn on, and the LED indicator will turn red. Then, the LED indicator will turn blue, and you will hear a “Hello” prompt. The LED will then flash blue, and the camera will display ‘Waiting for configuration.” The camera is now ready for configuration between the router and smartphone app.
Note : If the camera will not be used for a very long time, it is suggested to unplug it from the power source.
Connecting

Tap the “+” icon on the top right corner of the APP Home page or select ”Tap to add a camera” to connect your camera. Then, select “Scan the QR code” and scan the QR code printed on the bottom of your camera.
-
Press and hold the Rest button on the camera for more than 10 seconds with the power on until you hear “Reset to factory settings” and “Waiting for configuration.”
-
In “Add Device,” when you hear “Hello,” select the checkbox and tap “Next.” Confirm that the device is flashing blue, then tap “Next.” Under “Wi-Fi connection,” enter your Wi-Fi password and select “Confirm.” Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the camera.
Tip: This camera supports dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks, so you should choose the channel with the stronger signal. For example, choose your SSID: XXXXX_2.4G or XXXXX_SG. Your router SSID and password should not exceed 24 characters. -
Scan the QR code on the smartphone app using the security camera lens. You should hear the prompt “Wi-Fi connecting.” After the prompt, select “I have heard the voice prompt.” Select the checkbox and tap “Next.” You should be able to complete this configuration in about two minutes.
Tip: If the camera cannot scan the QR code, try changing the distance between the lens and QR code, and make sure the code is perpendicular to the camera lens. You can also try increasing your screen brightness. -
Wait a few seconds until your camera notifies you “Wireless connection succeeded.” At this point, your camera has successfully connected to your Wi-Fi. You can now enter the camera name and select “Save” in the “Set Name” interface. Note: If the camera fails to connect, reset your camera and try again starting from step 1.
