Getting Started
- Before attaching the Walkie Talkie, rotate the position of the rubber USB-C cover. Pull the rubber audio jack cover and fold away from the housing.
- Attach the walkie-talkie to your FireMax by lining up the audio jack with the audio jack port, then lining up the USB-C connector. Slide Walkie Talkie in then press towards muff cup to snap into place.
- Rotate antenna out for best reception.
- Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn on the headset and walkie talkie.
Walkie-Talkie Overview
Functions
POWER ON/OFF
Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn the head set and walkie talkie on or off
Ambient Volume Adjust:
Press the volume up or down buttons to the right of the LCD screen to change
the volume of the ambient pass-through.
NOTE:
When Ambient volume reaches a minimum there will be a double beep.
When Ambient volume reaches maximum there will be a double beep.
Walkie Talkie Volume Adjust:
Press the volume up or down buttons to the left of the LCD screen to change
the walkie talkie speaker volume.
NOTE:
When walkie talkie speaker volume reaches minimum there will be a double beep.
When walkie talkie speaker volume reaches maximum there will be a double beep.
Frequency Modes:
Press the Mode button to cycle through the following frequency modes:
- Universal:
- Clear Voice: Emphasizes human vocal frequencies
- High Frequency: : Low frequencies reduced and high frequencies are boosted, amplifying noises such as bushes rustling or branches cracking.
- Power Boost: Amplified version of Universal
Radio Operation
Channel Selection:
Press the Power/Menu button one time to enter the menu. “CH” will display.
Press the up or down buttons until the desired channel appears on the screen.
The Firemax Walkie Talkie supports standard GMRS/FRS channels 1 through 22.
Press the Power/Menu button four more times to exit the menu.
Alternatively, the menu will exit after a few seconds of inactivity.
Communication:
All radios in your group must be set to the same channel. Position the
microphone about 1 inch away from your mouth. To talk, press and hold the push
to talk button and speaker the PTT icon will flash on the screen while
transmitting. release PTT button when finished
Using Sub-Channels:
Selecting a sub-channel will cause you Razor Walkie Talkie to only receive
transmission from other radios set to the same channel and sub-channel. This
allows multiple groups to communicate on the same channel independently. Note
that other radios will receive transmissions from your channel regardless of
sub-channel.
- Press the Power/Menu button two times to enter the sub-channel menu. “SUB” will displayed.
- Press the up or down buttons to scroll through and select any of 99 subchannels. Press the Power/Menu button three more times to exit the menu. Alternatively, the menu will exit after a few seconds of inactivity.
Voice Activated Transmit (VOX):
Voice Activated Transmit (VOX) can be enabled for hands-free operation. When
activated, the unit will automatically transmit when the wearer is speaking.
PTT is still available while VOX is enabled.
- Press the Power/Menu button three times to enter the VOX menu. “VOX” will be displayed.
- Press the up or down volume buttons to scroll through the available options. OF disables VOX and is the default setting. LO is for low sensitivity and is meant for environments with external noise such as wind. HI is for high sensitivity ideal for low wind areas or indoors.
- Press the Power/Menu button two more times to exit the menu. Alternatively, the menu will exit after a few seconds of inactivity.

Only and must attach Good Sportsman’s headphone (FireMax Walkie Talkie) to install.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Walker’s warranties this product to the original purchaser to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use and conditions for a
period of one year parts from the date of purchase.
Under this warranty, this unit will be replaced or repaired at our option.
Copy of the original receipt or gift receipt, is required for any warranty
service. To enact the warranty, the customer is required to contact our
Customer Service Group at 877-268-8490
to receive a Return Authorization (RA) number PRIOR to sending the product
back.
This warranty is void if any of the following occur:
- The unit is not accompanied by a copy of the receipt or gift receipt from the original purchaser.
- The unit has been tampered with, opened or punctured.
- The unit has been immersed in water or other liquids, allowed to be filled with dirt or dust, or otherwise physically abused.
- The one year limited warranty has expired. Please inquire about other options from your Customer Service Representative.
This shall be the exclusive written warranty of the original purchaser and
neither this warranty nor any other warranty, expressed or implied, shall
extend beyond the 12-month period listed above. In no event shall Walker’s,
Inc. be liable for consequential property damage, or consequential personal
injury. (Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or
exclusions of consequential damages, so that these restrictions may not apply
to you). This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other
rights, which vary from state to state.
