OPERATION INSTRUCTION

Download the App
Get the Grill 5.0 app from Google Play or the Apple App Store, or scan the following QR code to download it.

Turn on the device
Insert the probes into the probe socket. Press and hold the button for 3s, the LCD display will light up with two “beeps”. Note: The orange backlight will auto turn off after 3s. Press the button again will restart the backlight.
Pair with smartphone
Launch the app, turn on the “Hcitool scan” and wait a moment for searching and pairing the device. Then please follow the on-screen instruction to click the “Grill 5.0”.
Note: If you can’t find out the “Grill 5.0”, please turn off the device and App to reconnect again.
Quick Start
Insert the probes into the food, select the corresponding food, and target the temperature on the App according to your needs.

1. When the target temperature is reached, both the device and the smartphone will alarm. Short press the button or click “OK” on the smartphone, the alarm will stop.
2. When setting the temperature range, if the current temperature is lower or higher than the temperature range, the device and smartphone will alarm with “Temperature is lower than the range value” or “Temperature is higher than the range value”. Even you stop the alarm, the display still continues to flash.

Power off Press and hold for 3s The device will power off with two “beep”.

APP DESCRIPTION

Note:
The “OK /All Alarm” on a smartphone is to close the current alarm or close all the current alarms.
The default alarm interval is 5 minutes and can be customized on the App. When the target temperature is reached, operating the App or the device means that the user has been notified, so the alarm will not issue until 5 minutes later.
The food target temperature and temperature range can be customized.

TROUBLESHOOTING

• Won’t Switch on
  – Replace the battery

• LLL or HHH on the Display
  – Temperature exceeds measurable range: 33°F-572°F (1°C-300°C)

• The device cannot connect with App
  – Check whether the smartphone or iPad is within the applicable model.
  – Turn off the device and App, and try again. If you have tried many times, please feel free to contact our customer service.

• Why does the display keep flashing after setting the temperature range?
  – Only when the current temperature is between the temperature range, the display can return to normal. If it is lower or higher than the temperature range, the device and mobile phone will alarm with the flashing display.

• Can one mobile phone be connected to multiple devices at the same time or multiple mobile phones can be connected to one device at the same time?
  – Neither, a mobile phone can only connect to one device at a time.

• Are the thermometer, probes, and cables waterproof?
  – No, only the probe is partially waterproof, the thermometer and cables are not waterproof.

• is there all historical cooking data saved?
  – The smartphone will have data only when the probe is inserted. It can only display the current historical cooking data, and the historical data will not be saved or downloaded.

• Why no data is displayed after power on?
  – If the probe is not plugged into the socket after powering on, the device will not display temperature and auto power off after 3 minutes.

USE & MAINTENANCE

• Do not touch the stainless portion of the probe during or right after measuring temperatures since it will be hot.
• Keep away from water since the thermometer and cables are not waterproof.
• Do not place the probe or probe cable directly in a burning flame.
• Do not force the probe and cable. This may damage the probe and wire, causing a short circuit.
• Remove the battery if stored for more than four months.
