- Disconnect the power of the fuse or circuit breaker before installing.
Installation: Using an existing junction box
Step 1
Turn off power at the breaker box.
If you do not know where your breaker is or how to turn off the power, consult
with a licensed electrician.
Step 2
Mounting over a junction box. Mounting over a junction box.
Extend and feed the wires from the junction box through the supplied
junction box mounting bracket. Install the mounting bracket, with the arrow
pointing up, over the junction box and fasten using the junction box screws.
Use a high-grade caulking material, such as silicone rubber, between the
gasket on the mounting bracket and the wall.
Step 3
Hang Smart Flood Light Camera. Use the provided S Hook to hang the Smart Flood
Light Camera from the mounting bracket while connecting the wires.
Hook one end of the provided S hook into one of the holes on your mounting
bracket.
Connect the wires from the junction box to the Smart Flood Light Camera power
cable by twisting each wire pair together clockwise and securing with a wire
nut.
Live: Black to Black
Neutral: White to White
Ground: Green /Yellow to Green /Yellow*
- Some existing ground wires may be solid green or bare copper.
Step 4
Attach the Smart Flood Light Camera to the mounting bracket
Carefully push connected wires back into the junction box. Using supplied bracket screws and Allen key attach Smart Flood Light Camera to junction box mounting bracket.
Step 5
Adjust camera/motion sensor and floodlight beam position
- After securing the camera to the wall, adjust the camera/motion sensor and floodlight beam angle by tilting them up/down, left/right.
- When the camera/motion sensor and floodlight angles are set, tighten the 1/2/3/4/5 screws to secure.
NOTE : Restore power at the breaker after installing Smart Flood Light Camera. Skip to page 12 to pair the camera to the app.

How it all fits together.
WARNING
- AC100~240V Power connection.
- Disconnect the power at the circuit breaker before installing.
- Direct-to-wall installation assumes that there is an existing electric connection at the install location. If there is not, contact a licensed electrician to run a wire to the desired location.
Installation: Direct to wall
Step 1
Turn off power at the breaker box.
If you do not know where your breaker is or how to turn off the power, consult

Step 2
Mounting directly to a wall.
Extend and feed the wires through the supplied wall mounting bracket. Install
the mounting bracket, with the arrow pointing up, to the wall using the
supplied screws and wall anchors as needed. Use a high-grade caulking
material, such as silicone rubber, between the gasket on the mounting bracket
and the wall.

Step 3
Hang Smart Flood Light Camera. Use the provided S Hook to hang the Smart Flood
Light Camera from the bracket while connecting the wires.
Step 4
Unscrew the two nuts at both ends of the waterproof terminal and slide them
over each end of the power cord.
Remove the outermost wrapping layer of the power cable, to expose the colored
power wires. Do not exceed 17mm (0.6 inches.) The bare wire part of each
colored power cord should not exceed 5mm (0.2 inches.) Connect the
corresponding live, neutral, and ground wires respectively.
Step 5
After the power cords are connected, tighten the nuts at both ends of the
terminal in order to enclose the power connection. Hand tightens only, do not
overtighten.
Step 6
Attach the Smart Flood Light Camera to the mounting bracket Carefully push
connected wires back into the wall. Using supplied bracket screws and Allen
key, attach Smart Flood Light Camera to wall mount bracket.
Step 7
Adjust camera/motion sensor and floodlight beam position
- After securing the camera to the wall, adjust the camera/motion sensor and flood light beam angle by tilting them up/down, left/right.
- When camera/motion sensor and floodlight angles are set, tighten the no.1/2/3/4/5 screws to secure.
NOTE: Restore power at the breaker after installing Smart Flood Light Camera.

Pairing to your network
The Connected Max Smart Flood Light Camera must pair to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
network. Once paired, you can control any Wi-Fi or cellular network. For most
users, pairing will be quick and simple. But depending on the type of wireless
router you have, you may need a little more information to get started. Refer
to our Wireless Router Guide at
creelighting.com/connectedmax for more
information.
NOTE: If you need to re-select the Wi-Fi network, please press and hold
the “RESET” button for 5 seconds, the device will restart, and the indicator
will be flashing red.
How to pair your Smart Flood Light Camera
Download the Cree Lighting app and register your account. Open the Cree
Lighting App, click “Sign Up”, read the “User Agreement Privacy Policy” and
click “Agree.”
QR Code Configuration
1 Click “Add Device” or ”+” and then select “Cameras” to add Smart Flood Light Camera.
2 The status indicator on the camera should be flashing quickly. If it is not, reset the camera and then tap “Next.” Then input your Wi-Fi credentials and tap “Next.” NOTE: Camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
3 Next, scan the QR code on your phone with the camera, when you hear an audible prompt, the pairing has been complete. Tap on “I Heard a Prompt.”
4 Now the Smart Flood Light Camera will pair with your network.

Safety Information
Safely Connecting your Smart Flood Light Camera to your Home’s Electrical
Wiring
If you install the Smart Flood Light Camera where an existing light is already
in use and you connect the Smart Flood Light Camera to your home’s electrical
wiring, you must turn off the existing light’s power source at your home’s
circuit breaker or fuse and test that the power is off BEFORE removing the
existing light, installing the Smart Flood Light Camera, or touching
electrical wires. Failure to turn off the circuit breaker or fuse could result
in FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, or OTHER INJURY or DAMAGE.
More than one disconnect switch may be required to turn off the equipment
before servicing. If you are unsure or uncomfortable in performing this
installation or handling electrical wiring, please consult a qualified
electrician in your area.
