Yes it works in the rain make sure your Wi-Fi is a 2.4 ghz haven’t had no problems with it works good day and night.
How many feet away can the lens detect motion during daylight and at night?****
The camera goes pretty far it all depends on the angle you put it at for night time 20 ft probably helps if u have the light on at night your porch light but either way you will get a clear video night or day and for the day it goes pretty far it only records when there’s motion that’s the good part.
How do I get it to detect motion?****
In the settings area, it should be the second option that looks like the guy is walking. It has the option to turn the motion on as well as sensitivity options.

Yes! You will need to connect it to your router. You will also need to sign up for their cloud services. No SD slot or live viewing. I returned mine and got another brand.
