Read these instructions for use carefully. Observe the warnings and safety notes. Keep these instructions for use for future reference. Make the instructions for use accessible to other users. If the device is passed on, provide the instructions for use to the next user as well.

Included in delivery
Check that the exterior of the cardboard delivery packaging is intact and make sure that all contents are present. Before use, ensure that the device and accessories have no visible damage and all packaging material is removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES

  • Do not use the charger near bathtubs, showers or other containers which have water in them.

  • The device is only intended for domestic/private use, not for commercial use.

  • This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they
    are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely, and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.

  • Children must not play with the device.

  • Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.

  • Under no circumstances should you open or repair the device yourself, as correct functioning of the device can no longer be guaranteed should you do so. Failure to comply with this instruction will invalidate the warranty.

  • The danger of suffocation! Keep packaging material away from children.

  • Children must be supervised at all times whilst using the device.

  • The portable pedicure device is intended for removing hard or rough skin and calluses only. The device is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or careless use.

  • The use of this device can create a considerable amount of heat on your skin. Check the results regularly during the treatment. It is particularly important for diabetics to do so as they have a lower sensitivity to pain and could injure themselves more easily. Always work very carefully. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor.

  • Any improper use may be dangerous.

  • For your own safety, continuously check the heat generated by the device. This applies in particular to persons that are not as sensitive to heat as others.

  • The device may heat up faster during prolonged, intensive use, for example when removing calluses on the feet. Allow the device to cool down for a relatively long time between individual applications to prevent skin burns.

  • For hygiene reasons, the device must only be used on one person.

  • Never attempt to repair the device yourself!

  • Only use the device with the supplied accessories.

  • Do not use it on animals.

  • Keep the device away from sources of heat.

  • Do not use the device for periods longer than 15 minutes without a pause. After 15 minutes, have a break of at least 15 minutes to prevent the motor from overheating.

  • Do not use the device on areas of sensitive or irritated skin.

  • Make sure that no hair can get caught in the rotating attachments when using the device. Use a hair tie for your safety.

  • Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable.

  • Make sure that the main cable is not routed or pulled over pointed or sharp objects.

  • Keep the device away from pointed or sharp objects.

  • If the device has been dropped or has suffered any other damage, it must no longer be used.

  • Always switch off the device and disconnect the charger before cleaning.

  • Risk of electric shock! Only operate the device with the charger provided and at the main voltage specified on the charger.

  • Risk of electric shock! Never use the device if it or any of its accessories are visibly damaged.

  • Risk of electric shock! In the event of defects or operational faults, switch the device off immediately and disconnect the charger from the main socket. Do not pull on the main cable or on the device. Never hold or carry the device by the main cable. Keep the cables away from hot surfaces. Make sure that the plug and cable do not come into contact with water or other liquids. Never try to retrieve the charger if it has fallen into the water and is connected to a power supply.

  • Only specialist personnel may perform repairs on electrical devices. Improper repairs may subject users to a considerable danger. In the event of a fault or damage, have the device repaired by a certified specialist workshop?

  • Risk of fire! Never leave the device unattended when it is in operation, particularly if there are children nearby.

  • Risk of fire! Never use the device underneath a cover, such as a blanket or a pillow.

  • Risk of fire! Never use the device near petrol or other highly flammable substances.

Safety notes on handling batteries

  • If your skin or eyes come into contact with fluid from a battery cell, wash the affected areas with water and seek medical assistance.
  • Protect batteries from excessive warmth, heat, and sunlight.
  • Risk of explosion! Never throw batteries into a fire.
  • Do not disassemble, split or crush the batteries.
  • Fully charge the battery prior to initial use.
  • Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke on batteries. Therefore, keep batteries out of the reach of small children!
  • Only use the chargers specified in the instructions for use.
  • Batteries must be charged correctly prior to use. The instructions from the manufacturer and the specifications in these instructions for use regarding correct charging must be observed at all times.
  • In order to achieve as long a battery service life as possible, fully charge the battery at least 2 times a year.

USE

Initial use/charging of the portable pedicure device

  1. Remove the packaging. Check the device, charger, and cable for damage.
  2. Connect the device with the contact points underneath the charger (see Figure B ).
  3. Connect the charger to a USB mains adapter (USB mains adapter not included in delivery). Plug the USB mains adapter into a suitable socket. Alternatively, charge the charger directly via the USB port on a computer/laptop. The device must be switched off when connected.
  4. Position the charger cable so that it does not present a tripping hazard.
  5. Charge the device completely (for approximately 3 hours) before the first use. The battery level indicator 5 flashes during charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the battery level indicator 5 stays on continuously. The device is now ready for use.
  6. One charge is sufficient for approx. 3 hours of cordless operation. If the battery level indicator 5 flashes rapidly during battery operation, the battery is empty.

Travel lock
The device has a travel lock. The travel lock is activated when the device is delivered. If the travel lock is activated, it is not possible to switch on the device. The travel lock prevents the device from being switched on by accident (e.g. when being carried in a suitcase).

  1. To activate the travel lock, press and hold the ON/OFF button 4 for 3 seconds. The battery level indicator  5 flashes briefly. The device is now locked.
  2. To deactivate the travel lock, press and hold the ON/OFF button 4 again for 3 seconds. The battery level indicator 5 flashes briefly. The device is now unlocked.
    If you press the ON/OFF button 4 while the travel lock is activated, the battery level indicator 5 flashes briefly.
    When the device is charged, the travel lock is automatically deactivated.

Notes on the correct use

  • The device can be used on dry or wet skin.
  • When used on dry skin, the skin must be completely dry and free of grease.
  • Do not use any creams before removing calluses.
  • Do not remove too much of a callus as it may grow back stronger.
  • You can remove severely callused skin using the coarse abrasive roller 6 . The fine abrasive roller 7 allows you to remove callused spots and smooth areas of skin.

Starting to use the device
WARNING
Do not use the device on irritated, sore, or broken skin!

  1. Make sure that the desired abrasive roller ( 6 or 7 ) is correctly fitted in the device.

  2. Press the ON/OFF button 4 to switch the device on. The device starts in the slow-speed setting. If the device cannot be switched on, it may be the case that the travel lock is still activated. To deactivate the travel lock, press and hold the ON/OFF button 4 for 3 seconds. The battery level indicator 5 flashes briefly. The device is now unlocked.

  3. To switch between the two-speed settings, briefly press the speed button 3. To change the direction of rotation, press and hold the speed button 3.

  4. Move the abrasive roller slowly and evenly over the callus. Hold the device upright at a 90° angle to the callus (see Figure C ). For an optimal result, move the abrasive roller in
    different directions over the callus.

  5. Do not use the device for longer than 3-4 seconds on one area of the skin. The device switches off automatically if the abrasive roller is prevented from moving for a  prolonged period due to too much pressure being applied during use.

  6. Press the ON/OFF button 4 to switch the device off. Alternatively, the device switches off automatically after 20 minutes of use.

Changing the abrasive roller

  1. Press and hold the unlock button on side 2.
  2. On the other hand, push the abrasive roller to the right and pull it off upwards (see Figure A ).
  3. Firmly insert the other abrasive roller until you hear and feel it click into place.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING
Unplug the charger before cleaning the device. Never clean the device in a dishwasher. Do not use any cleaning products or hard brushes when cleaning the device! Clean the device using only the methods specified. The liquid must not penetrate the device or the accessories under any circumstances.

  1. Check that the charger is unplugged.
  2. Wet the callus attachment with alcohol for reasons of hygiene.
  3. Clean the callus attachment with a soft brush.
  4. The unplugged and cooled base device can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth or under running water.
  5. Then wipe the base device dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a suitable collection point in your country. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal. You can obtain the location of collection points for old devices from the local or municipal authorities, local waste disposal company, or your dealer, for example.
Disposal of the battery
**** Remove the silicone sleeve and open the housing. Then remove the battery and dispose of it properly. The empty, completely flat batteries must be disposed of in specially designated collection boxes, at recycling points, or at electronics retailers. You are legally required to dispose of the batteries.
