Overview
The SBP500 accommodates (16) D-Cell alkaline batteries for external power to underwater sensors and data loggers. Integration with the X2 family of data loggers (X2, X2-SDL, & X2-CB) allows for longer deployments.
What’s Included
(1) SBP500 Submersible Battery Pack
(1) 8-pin plug to 6-pin plug cable assembly, 1m
Battery Installation

Remove the battery lid using the included hex driver for leverage.

Insert (16) D-Cell batteries into the battery chambers according to the polarity labels located inside each battery tube.
a. NexSens recommends using Duracell Procell D Alkaline Batteries.
b. (4) batteries per tube.
c. Polarity for all (4) batteries should be in the same orientation.

Data Logger Connection
- Connect the cable assembly between the SBP500 and data logger.
a. Plug the UW8 end of the cable assembly into the top port on the SBP500.
b. Plug the UW6 end of the cable assembly to the 6-pin power port on the data logger.

Check Battery Voltage
- Using a voltmeter, place the positive lead on pin #4 and the negative lead on pin #7 of the top 8-pin receptacle on the SBP500.
