ASSOCIATED TEMPORARY REVISION CANCELLATIONS AND UPDATES, INTRODUCTION OF.
HELICOPTERS AFFECTED:| Serial numbers 65011 through 65169, and 65171 through 65300.
COMPLIANCE:| Within 30 days following the release date of this bulletin.

DESCRIPTION :

This Alert Service Bulletin (ASB) is introducing Revision 11 of the BHT-505-FM-1

Rotorcraft Flight Manual (RFM) and changes to various Temporary Revisions.

As it has been confirmed that all applicable 505 helicopters have been upgraded to the engine FADEC software version V6.01, except for helicopter serial number 65234, Revision 11 of the BHT-505-FM-1 incorporates the content of Temporary Revision (TR5) for ARRIUS ENGINE WITH SOFTWARE VERSION V6.01 (ASB 505-18-09), and Temporary Revision (TR-2) for ENG CD INOP CAUTION Emergency procedure (ASB 505-17-04). Based on this, TR-5 and TR-2 are being canceled.

Applicable to the 505 serial number 65234 only, which has not been upgraded to the engine FADEC software version V6.01, the engine related Temporary Revision TR-4 for HMU AUX CTRL CAUTION (ASB 505-18-09) has been reissued and a new TR-7 for ARRIUS ENGINE WITH SOFTWARE VERSION V5.03 has been created. The reissue of TR-4 and the creation of TR-7 are only applicable to 505 helicopter serial number 65234.

The objective of these document changes is to reduce the number of active Temporary Revisions within the BHT-505-FM-1 RFM.

2. As the regular distribution of paper copies of the documents may take several weeks, and for owner/operator convenience, printable versions of RFM revision and TRs are available to be printed from the www.mybell.com website. To print in the RFM format, adjust printing settings to be 71% of the normal 100% size printing format.
3. Only applicable to the 505 serial number 65234.

ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

NOTE :
To acquire paper copies of the required Rotorcraft Flight Manual (RFM) revisions, or to verify revision distribution registration, contact Technical Publications at publications@bellflight.com.
As the regular distribution of paper copies of the documents may take several weeks, and for owner/operator convenience, printable versions of RFM revision and TRs are available to be printed from the www.mybell.com website. To print in the RFM format, adjust printing settings to be 71% of the normal 100% size printing format.

1. For 505 helicopters using BHT-505-FM-1 RFM, except for serial number 65234, update the BHT-505-FM-1 RFM as follows;
   a. Remove and discard Temporary Revisions TR-2 and TR-5. Temporary Revisions
   TR-2 and TR-5 have been canceled.
   b. Insert BHT-505-FM-1 RFM, Revision 11, dated 8 April 2024.

2. For the 505 helicopter serial number 65234 only, update the BHT-505-FM-1 RFM as follows;
   a. Remove and discard Temporary Revisions TR-2, TR-4, and TR-5. Temporary
   Revisions TR-2 and TR-5 have been canceled and TR-4 has been reissued.
   b. Insert BHT-505-FM-1 RFM, Revision 11, dated 8 April 2024.
   c. Insert the Reissue to Temporary Revision TR-4 for HMU AUX CTRL CAUTION Dated 8 April 2024 and Temporary Revision TR-7 for ARRIUS ENGINE WITH SOFTWARE VERSION V5.03, dated 8 April 2024, into the BHT-505-FM-1 RFM.

3. Insert the Log of Temporary Revisions, dated 8 April 2024, into the BHT-505-FM-1 RFM.

4. Make an entry in the helicopter logbook and historical service records indicating compliance with this Alert Service Bulletin.
