Thank you for purchasing Bell+Howell® Glimmer Stick Solar Lights!
These lights are great for gardens, walkways and more! Auto ON, Auto OFF
feature keeps Solar Lights on only when needed. Choose between solid white or
color changing lights. The number of hours that the solar lights remain on
depends on the amount of sunlight the solar lights have received the previous
day.
UNPACKING
Unpack all of the pieces and set aside.
See Diagram on right.
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Before mounting the stakes into the ground, please make sure that the soil is softened. Hard soil may damage or break the stakes.
- When picking a place to install your solar lights, choose a location with maximum sun exposure during the day.
- Avoid areas under trees or bushes as this will prevent a proper charge of the solar lights.
- Do not install solar lights near an existing outdoor light. The built-in sensor of the solar lights will prevent it from turning the solar lights on.
- Due to lack of direct sunlight on cloudy days and/or shorter winter months, your solar lights may operate inconsistently causing some to illuminate and some not. This is normal.
FIRST TIME USE
Each unit must be charged under direct sunlight for 8 hours. This will ensure
the internal battery is fully charged prior to use. Move the power switch to
ON or RGB prior to charging. If switch is left in OFF position, the unit will
not charge.
When installing the lights, choose a location with maximum sun exposure.
ASSEMBLY
USAGE
PRIOR TO USE FOR THE FIRST TIME, each unit must be charged under direct sunlight for 8 hours.

Move the power switch to ON to select white light.

Move the power switch to RGB to select color changing light.
Unit will display 10 colors, changing from one to the next. -
To turn the unit off, move the power switch to OFF.

Once it becomes dark, the solar lights will automatically turn on. The unit’s internal battery will recharge during the day while the lights are off. The charging cycle will continue while there sunlight present during the day.
CLEANING
Make sure to regularly wipe down the solar panel with a damp cloth for best
charging results.
Clean solar panel will be able to absorb more sun energy.
STORAGE
When storing solar lights for an extended period of time, make sure to turn
off the unit and remove the batteries. Leaving batteries inside the unit for a
long time may cause damage to the unit.
Follow the below steps to disassemble the Glimmer Stick lights, if
needed.
REPLACING BATTERIES

If your solar lights are not holding a full charge even after a complete 8 hours of direct sunlight, you may need to change your rechargeable batteries.

Unit uses Ni-MH rechargeable batteries only. Do not mix old and new batteries.

To access the battery compartment, remove 4 screws using Phillips head screwdriver.
Remove the cover with rubber seal. -
Place new rechargeable batteries. Replace the cover and make sure the seal is placed correctly for battery protection.

Replace the screws.
TROUBLESHOOTING
