Installation

  • Choose an appropriate position to install the alarm on a ceiling away from obstructions, doors, windows, ventilator and radiator and at least 50cm from fluorescent lights and low energy bulb.
  • Use the screws and plugs provided to secure the installation panel securely to the ceiling.
  • Align the 2 locating slots in the smoke detector with the 2 tags on the installation panel and rotate it clockwise until it locks into position.

Testing and usage

  •  Turn the smoke detector anti-clockwise to remove it from the installation panel.
  • Install the 9V battery supplied and ensure it is clipped behind the red security arm at the side of the panel.
  • Align the 2 locating slots in the smoke detector with the 2 tags on the installation panel and rotate it clockwise until it locks into position.
  • Press and hold the TEST/HUSH button. The LED flashes

quickly and the detector sounds. This means the detector works properly. At that time, the detector turns to a low sensitive detection mode. After 10 minutes, it turns to the standard sensitive detection mode.

Notice:

  1.  The only replaceable part is the battery. No user serviceable parts inside.
  2. Any repairs should be carried out by qualified personnel.
  3.  Test the alarm weekly and every time the battery is replaced.
  4.  Do not use in damp, dusty and smoky environments.
  5.  Test the alarm for normal operation using the test facility when the battery is replaced.
  6.  Replace the smoke detector after 8 years of use.
