Setting Microphone Level

To set your mic level, press and hold the Monitor button, when the knob turns green, you’re controlling your mic level. The knob will flash red when the microphone is clipping. Wait 5 seconds or press the Monitor button again to exit.

Setting Headphone Level

1.  When monitor mode is off, the knob is unlit, turn to adjust headphone level.
2. Press the knob to mute the mic. The knob will turn red.

Setting Monitor Level

Press Monitor and turn the knob to adjust the blend between your microphone and the playback from your computer. The knob will be blue in this mode.

Selecting Presets

1.  Presets allow you to store and recall effects settings for your voice like EQ and compression. These effects will be recorded with your voice. Press repeatedly to cycle through the four onboard settings: Preset 1 (Blue) Preset 2 (Yellow) Preset 3 (Green) Preset 4 (Pink)
2. Press and hold to bypass presets. Use this when you want a clean recording with no effects—good for processing your recording later.

Install Universal Control

Once you have registered your Revelator, download Universal Control from your MyPreSonus account—Universal Control unlocks all of Revelator’s advanced features.

1.  Install Universal Control on your computer.
2. Mac Users. Open Universal Control and choose Single or Multi Device Mode. Windows Users. Multi mode is always enabled.

Install Studio One

1. Download the Studio One Artist installer from your MyPreSonus account and install it on your computer.
2.  Launch Studio One Artist and enter your MyPreSonus credentials. Follow the onscreen instructions to activate.

Start Recording!

1.  Click “New Song.”

2. Select the “Podcast Production” template and click “OK.”

3. Click record arm on the blue “Host” track.

4. Keeping your eye on the meters in Studio One, speak into Revelator and set your microphone level.

5. Click Record in Studio One.

6. To play back, click the Stop, Return to Zero, and Play to listen back to your recording.
