General User Instructions

Information about the Use of the User Instructions

Before using the device for the first time, the user instructions must be fully read and understood.
Consider the user instructions to be a part of the product and keep them safely and readily accessible.
Include these user instructions when passing on the device to a third party.

Explanation of the Symbols

The following symbols are used on the device:

Area of Application

The device and all items included in the scope of supply are intended for use in private areas and must be exclusively used:

For the control of the illumination of your aquarium
Only in combination with EHEIM powerLED+ lamps
In compliance with the technical data

The EHEIM LEDcontrol+ is designed especially for the operation of the following lamps:

EHEIM powerLED+ from serial number 17xx05
The colour channels can be controlled separately from each other and thereby not only the light colour but also the brightness scale can be programmed.

Safety Instructions

There are risks for people and property associated with this device if it is not used correctly and properly or in accordance with its intended purpose or if the safety instructions are not observed.

For your safety

| Do not allow the device packaging and small parts to get into the hands of children or persons who are not fully in control of their actions as this can be dangerous (risk of suffocation!). Keep away from animals.

Before use, carry out a visual inspection in order to ensure that the device, especially the power supply unit and plug, are not damaged.
Do not use the device if it does not function properly or if it is damaged.
Never use the device with a damaged power cord or power supply unit.
Repairs must be carried out exclusively by an EHEIM service centre.
Do not carry the device by the connecting cable.
Only carry out the activities that are described in these instructions.
Protect the power cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Never make technical alterations to the device.

Use only original spare parts and accessories for the device.
Immediately disconnect all equipment in the aquarium from the mains supply following a water leak or the tripping of the residual current pro- tection device.

Always disconnect all equipment in the aquarium from the mains sup- ply when it is not in use, before you install and / or remove equipment and before all cleaning and maintenance work.
The device must not be placed on or inside the aquarium cover.
The electrical data of the device must correspond to the data of the mains supply. This data can be found on the rating plate, on the packa- ging or in these instructions.

Installation

| The device is operated in connection with EHEIM powerLED+ lamps. Refer to the operating manual of the lamp, in particular the chapter about safety, startup, service and maintenance!

Start-up

Setting up or connecting to a network

Connect the plug connectors of the EHEIM power supply ② and the powerLED+ lamp ③ with the LEDcontrol+ ①.
When using an EHEIM 2-way switch④ Article-number 4200050, multiple powerLED+ can be operated.

Not included in the scope of delivery! The maximum load of the power supply must be observed (see type plate of the EHEIM power supply of the lamp)

Insert the plug of the EHEIM power supply in the power socket.
The statusLED (5) of the LEDcontrol+ glows:

Status LED flashes white: Network is being searched or created.
Status LED flashes blue: A new network has been created.

Connection to the WLAN network

Open the network settings of your end device (smartphone, tablet, notebook etc.). Connect the end device to the WLAN network (SSID) EHEIM light XXXXXXXXX Enter the network security key.

You will find the network security key on the label on the back of the device. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code 1 (see label) to set up the connection.

Go to the website

Open your web browser and enter the following web address: http://192.168.1.1
Alternatively, you can scan the QR code 2 (see label) to open the software in the browser.

Start configuration

Select the desired language in the language selection and continue with the initial configuration. Follow the instructions.
