ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS / INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Unpack the components carefully. Please check all parts have been removed from the packaging.

IMPORTANT
Read these instructions fully before using the heater. Retain these instructions for future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

(to be read before operating the heater)

  1. Check whether or not the local power supply mains matches the appliance electric rating printed on the label before operation.
  2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. If the appliance is damaged, do not use it any more.
  3. Ensure the power supply to the socket into which the heater is plugged is in accordance with the rating label on the heater and that the socket is earthed.
  4. When the appliance is not in operation, please remove plug from mains supply.
  5. The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning or maintaining the appliance
  6. Do not remove the plug by pulling the power cord.
  7. Avoid the use of an extension lead as this may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
  8. Keep the mains lead away from the hot body of the heater.
  9. WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover heater.
  10. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. Never locate the heater where it may fall into bathtub or other water container.
  11. The device is intended for household use. Do not use outdoors.
  12. Do not cover or obstruct any of the heat outlet grilles or the air intake openings of the heater.
  13. Always ensure that the heater is not positioned close to curtains or furniture as this could create a fire hazard.
  14.  The heater must not be located immediately below an electrical socket-outlet.
  15. Do not insert any object through the heat outlet or air intake grilles of the heater.
  16. Do not place this heater near flammable materials, surfaces or substances, as there may be a risk of fire.
  17. Particular care should be taken when the heater is situated in areas occupied by children or invalids.
  18. Always unplug the heater when moving it.
  19. The room which is to be heated should not contain any easy inflammable materials (e.g., petrol, solvents, spray canisters etc.) or other easy combustible materials (e.g., wood or paper). Keep such materials away form equipment. Risk of fire!!
  20. Do not operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner.
  21. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  22. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  23. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

OPERATION OF THE HEATER
NOTE: It is normal when the heaters are turned on for the first time or when they are turned on after having not been used for a long period of time the heaters may emit some smell and fumes. This will disappear when the heater has been on a short while.

SAFETY FEATURES

  1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.
  2. When an overheat temperature is reached, the Heater will be automatically shut off. It can only resume operation when the user resets the unit.
    (See reset instructions below)

To Reset the Heater :

  1. Unplug the Heater and wait 5-10 minutes for the unit to cool down.
  2. Then, turn on the unit again and operate normally.

Power control
There are three levels and four positions on rotary switch. The first level is ventilation only, the second level is 750W and the third level is 1500 W.

Temperature control
0-40 C adjustable thermostat to control the room temperature. The thermostat/temperature control button can be turned from 0 to 270 degrees.

CLEANING THE HEATER

  1. Always unplug the heater from the wall socket and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
  2. Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a damp cloth and buff with a dry cloth.
  3. Do not use any detergents or abrasives and do not allow any water to enter the heater.

STORING THE HEATER
When the heater is not used for long periods of time it should be protected from dust and stored in a clean dry place.

PLUG WIRING (UK & IRELAND)
This appliance is fitted with a BS 1363 10-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 10-amps should be used. If there is a fuse cover fitted, this cover must be re-fitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged the plug must not be used. Spare fuse holders and fuses are available from electrical outlets. If the socket outlets in your home or office are not suitable for this product’s plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of safely. Attempts to insert the plug into the wrong socket is likely to cause electric hazard. A replacement plug should be wired according to the following instructions:

The cable
A mains electricity cable contains two or three inner wires. Each has a core of copper and an outer layer of flexible plastic. This product is double insulated; the wires in the cord set are colour coded in the following way:

The diagram below shows the key features of a correctly wired three-pin mains plug.

Note: Double insulated appliances do not need the green & yellow Earth wire. They may only have the Brown and Blue wires.

DISPOSAL

  • Coopers of Stortford use recyclable or recycled packaging where possible.
