Product Information

This product is a SLIM FIT KIT designed for Scania NTG trucks. It comes with mounting instructions, and the manual is available in Spanish, English, French, German, and Italian languages. The kit is preloaded with R-134a refrigerant gas and should not be tampered with. The kit does not comply with ADR regulations.

Product Usage Instructions

Attach the EPDM gasket around the hatch recess using a 25×25 gasket.
Paste the EPDM gasket in the cabin by keeping 100 mm of protective paper on each side. Remove both pieces of paper and press both ends together.
Attach the 20×20 EPDM gasket on the hatch plate as indicated.
Place the hatch plate on top of the cabin and tighten it with 12 Torx screws with a dent washer and flat washer.
With the plate secured to the cabin, screw 10 mm on them, insert one rubber washer, one flat washer, and one nut. Tighten it against the base.
Place the kit on top of the hatch plate with the hatch plate’s drill holes. Tighten it with 4 flat M8 washers and 4 self-locking M8 nuts.
Remove 4 screws from the distribution panel interior.
Paste the supplied supplement channel in the console.
Pass the wiring following the original cables and existing structures on the roof towards the front right of the cabin. Place the wiring between the side panel and the glove compartment above the windshield.
Remove the screw at the top of column A and loosen the panel shown.
Take the wiring inside cover A along with the rest of the original cables.
Loosen the door joint next to the instrument panel and insert the wiring into the gap between column A and the instrument panel.
Insert the red/positive wire into the fuse holder.
Install the fuse as per the reference Scania 815722 or 815652 in black or red color respectively (refer to the image on the right).
Secure the wires with adhesive brackets and ties.
Install the control panel in the hatch area.

Assembly Recommendations

Before starting assembly, please read instructions and follow them during installation process.
Use the adequate tools for each operation.

Electricity

Disconnect ignition key.
Disconnect battery before starting assembly.
Make sure electric components are securely connected, checking their correct fitting.

Warning

If the unit slants during assembly, wait for at least 60 minutes with the unit in horizontal position before starting it up.

Warnings

The installing personnel must have a sufficient training in vehicles air conditioning.

Equipment pre-charged with refrigerating gas.(Do not handle refrigerating gas circuit).

Once installation is finished, the following documents must be handed over to the user: User’s Guide, Warranty and Troubleshooting Diagnosis.
The unit does not comply with ADR regulations.
For vehicles incorporating a spoiler, this must be disassembled and the front bar (A) removed before starting the installation.

Remove cover hatch, fastening elements and hand these over to the customer.
Glue the EPDM 25×25 seal around the hatch gap (see the detail for cutting the ends of the seal joint).
- HOW TO CUT EPDM GASKET TO AVOID A WATER FILTRATION INTO THE CABIN
- A- Glue gasket, keeping 100 mm of protection paper at each side.
- B- Remove the two pieces of paper.
- C- Glue by pressing both ends.
Glue EPDM 20×20 gaskets to the hatch plate as shown.
Caution: Thoroughly clean the sheet beforehand to ensure the adhesion of the seal.
Place in the hatch plate (12) hex nuts L = 35 and (4) hex nuts L = 90 to fasten the console.
Place the hatch plate on the top of the cab and tighten with (12) M8 torx screws with toothed washers and flat washers.
With the plate attached to the cab, thread 10 mm (4) M8 studs into the base of the Slim. On the insert a (1) rubber washer, (1) flat washer, and (1) nut. Press against the base.
Place the equipment on the hatch plate ensuring the base studs coincide with the holes on the hatch plate. Tighten with (4) M8 flat washers and (4) self-locking M8 nuts.
Remove (4) screws from the interior air distribution panel and leave the latter attached to the cables.
Stick in channeling duct attachment supplied as shown and insert it back into the interior air distribution panel.
Thread (4) hex nuts M4 L = 13 as indicated and reassemble the interior air distribution panel on them.
Wiring connection.
- CAB VIEW
Connect equipment wiring with the wiring supplied.
Run the wiring along the route of the original wiring and the existing structures in the roof towards the front right of the cabin. Place the wiring between the side panel and the glove compartment located above the windshield.
On the cover of column A, remove the speaker and the screw behind the speaker. Next, remove the panel.
At the top of column A, remove the screw and loosen the panel shown.
Run the wiring in through cover A together with the rest of the original wiring.
Loosen the door seal next to the instrument panel and insert the wiring into the gap between column A and the instrument panel.
Remove the cover of the fuse box, on the right is the relay holder and additional fuses, highlighted with a red frame. Remove the two screws and remove the holder.
Make sure that the wiring comes to the front of the relay and fuse holder by adding them from the rear of the holder.
Install the terminals supplied on the wiring according to the illustration.
Insert the red/positive wire into the fuse holder.
On the back of the fuse box, insert the fuse holder with the cable in an empty position. Make sure it fits in its position. From the front, insert a 30 A fuse.
On the back of the additional relay and fuse holder also connect the black / ground wire to the ground line in an unoccupied position. (In the red frame in the image on the right).
Reassemble the components in their original position.
Fasten the console with (4) 6/100×15 Allen screws and (4) toothed washers. Caution this operation is carried out after connecting the wiring!

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON POWER SUPPLY WIRING CONNECTION

On vehicles with a power outlet located in the hatch area, connect it to the power supply terminal of the equipment using the power supply wiring supplied and attach it using brackets with adhesive and flanges.
In vehicles without an original power supply located in the hatch zone.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
