Advanced Functions
Identify external switch type
n-wall Dimmer work with some type of wall switches: momentary switch, SPST,
SPDT, and rotating knob. Once the n-wall Dimmer is included in the network and
if it does’nt control the load, you need to identify its type with the APP.
- Select the correct switch type on the device edit page of the “Smart Life” on your APP.
- Or you can let In-Wall Dimmer identify switch type as follows:

Advanced Functions
Different load types need to be adapted to the correct dimming mode of the In- Wall Dimmer. Wrong dimming mode will damage n-Wall Dimmer.
Fortunately, n-Wall Dimmer can automatically identify the type of load and select the correct dimming mode. You just need to configure the power setting in the “smart Life” APP to set when n-Wall Dimmer will start to identify the load type. There are 3 options:
None: which means that does not identify the load type.
Power On Self Test: Which will start to identify the load type when In-Wall
Dimmer is power on and the load type is unknown. This is the default value.
Power ON: which will start to identify the load type when power on each time.
Note:
- In-Wall Dimmer can’t turn ON,OFF, and DIM the load before identifying the load type.
- The light that connect to In-Wall Dimmer will turn on, then turn off to identify the load type when In-Wall Dimmer Power ON in first time.
External switch functions
There are 3 functions of an external switch that can be set in the “Smart
Life” APP:
Control load: Just control the load that is connected to In-Wall Dimmen
Remote: Sends the status of a switch to the gateway, then gateway uses the
status to trigger scenes or control other devices.
Both: To do both functions of control load and Remote at the same time.
Device update
In-Wall Dimmer can obtain new functions through upgrade firmware wirelessly.
thus increasing the value of the In-Wall Dimmer in your smart home system.
