AirZing™ UV-Compact
Store the manual in a safe place! This product is intended for indoor air
purification only. Thank you very much for purchasing OSRAM’s AirZing UV-
Compact air purifier. These instructions generally describe the setup and
operation of the AirZing UV-Compact. OSRAM takes all possible precautions when
packaging the equipment to prevent damage. Carefully inspect the unit and do
not operate if you detect damages. Before using this product, please read
these instructions carefully. It contains important information about handling
and operation of the AirZing UV-Compact. Follow those guidelines to prevent
personal injury. Ensure that you follow all safety guidelines and instructions
provided. Fully charge the battery before its first use. We are not
responsible for accidents and/or issues caused by failure to observe the
warnings and notes in this document. Keep
away from fire sources, combustibles and water during operation.
Safety Warnings
Read and follow the instructions below.
Operation Temperature 0°C – 40°C. Storage Temperature ≤ 50°C.
It is recommended to use the USB cable provided with this product by OSRAM.
Connect to safety extra low voltage power supply 5V/3A only corresponding to
the marking on the label.
The AirZing UV-Compact contains a Germicidal Ultraviolet Lamp which generates UV-C radiation contained within the lamp enclosure. Damage to the housing may result in the escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation may, even in little doses, cause harm to the eyes and skin. Appliances that are obviously damaged must not be operated.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
If operated in a car, don’t handle while driving. Do not leave product exposed
in direct sunlight inside a vehicle for a long period of time to prevent
overheating of the battery.
Keep the air inlet and outlet of the unit free of dust and debris to keep
highest purification performance. Do not block inlet and outlet during
operation. Frequently wipe the outer surface with a damp cloth. Disconnect
power supply and switch off the appliance before cleaning.
A Class III appliance is designed to be supplied from a separated extra-low
voltage (SELV) power source. The voltage from a SELV supply is low enough that
under normal conditions a person can safely come into contact with it without
risk of electrical shock.
CE marking: OSRAM declares that this product conforms with the basic
requirements and relevant provisions of the European guidelines.
This unit is only intended for indoor air purification.
Required maintenance or repairs must be handled by an authorized service
provider only. Included OSRAM HNS ® UV-C lamp can’t be replaced. This
appliance contains a battery that is nonreplaceable.
WEEE device identification: Do not dispose of in domestic waste! Proper disposal of the product and packaging must be done in accordance with the applicable national law. OSRAM HNS® UV-C lamp contains mercury; follow local regulations when disposing of used product. Do not place AirZing UV-Compact in the trash.
As required by article 33 of the REACH-Regulation, OSRAM informs customers if certain products or its packaging contain one or more of the relevant substances in a concentration above 0.1 % weight per article, as soon as we become aware of the fact ( www.osram.de/reach).
