Configure behavior after mains interruption (optional)

Via the integrated rotary switch the behavior after mains interruption can be set. For a proper function apply the same setting to all interconnected DALI PCU. Changed settings require a mains interruption beforegetting valid.14)

Setting 115)

| (not recommended in combination with motion detectors): Light will go the state before mains interruption.16)
---|---
Setting 2 15)| Light remains off 17)
Setting 3 15)| Light will switch on with the memory value stored by double click.18)

Setting 4 15)

| Light will switch on at 50% brightness and the color temperature stored by double-click.19)

Setting 5 15)

| Light will switch on at 100% bright- ness and the color temperature stored by double-click.20)

Setting 6 15)

| Light level according the DALI POWER ON LEVEL stored in the ECG, this level can be set individually for each ECG by a corresponding programming tool,

e.g. DALI MAGIC from OSRAM (ex. Factory setting 100%).21)

Operation

Adjusting the minimal brightness level (optional)

The last dimming direction has to be brighter. 25) A short press on S1 or > the 60s without adjustment will exit the setting mode.

Storing and deleting a defined switch on the value

Store the coldest and warmest color temperature threshold

The dimming direction will change with each long press of button 2. The last dimming direction has to be colder for the coldest color temperature threshold and warmer for the warmest color temperature threshold. 29) Short press on S1 or >60s without adjustment will exit setting mode.

Operating instructions

Observe mounting and safety instructions Application and function

  • The DALI PCU TW G2 makes it possible to manually adjust the brightness of luminaires with standard DALI drivers as well as to set the color temperature of luminaires with drivers for tunable white that are compatible with DALI Device Type 8 (IEC 62386-209). The DALI PCU TW G2 is certified as a DALI-2 application controller with an integrated bus power supply.
  • The bus power supply is active when the controller is connected to the mains voltage (active operations). The number of control sections can be expanded by synchronously connecting additional DALI PCU TW G2s without mains voltage (passive operation). The number of controllable luminaires can be easily increased (max. 4) by synchronously connecting devices hooked to mains voltage (active operation). If several DALI PCU TW G2 are connected synchronously, the commands issued by the most recently used controller will apply. All other DALI PCU TW G2s will receive these commands as well. The control section can be switched at any time without causing any disruptive secondary effects, including jumps in brightness and color temperature

The buildup of several points of operation

  • Up to four 4 DALI PCU TW G2 can be interconnected.
  • However special attention must be paid to the polarity of the DALI control wiring. Every mains-powered DALI PCU TW G2 (= active DALI PCU TW G2) can supply 25 DALI EVGs and another non-mains-powered DALI PCU TW G2 (= passive DALI PCU TW). At least one active DALI PCU TW G2 is required.
  • The following system sizes are possible
Number of DALI PCU TW G2 (active operation) 1 2 3 4
Max. number of DALI PCU TW G2 (passive operation) 1 2 1
Max. number of DALI EVG 25 50 75 100

SAFETY AND MOUNTING INFORMATION

The DALI PCU TW G2 is designed for mounting in flush device boxes, independent mounting requires appropriate cable clamp and isolation. If the DALI control interface is connected to an external voltage, particularly with mains voltage, the unit may be destroyed! Operation as DALI-2 input device is only permitted without a power supply (passive). The integrated application controller must be deactivated by the external control unit via the DALI command.
