Presentation of Next Motion
Next Motion is a complete, comprehensive and turnkey solution to create before and after videos of the Face and the Body (for the Face & Body Engine) or the Face only (for the Face Engine). It has been founded by an Aesthetic Doctor for Aesthetic Doctors, Plastic Surgeons and Aesthetic professionals. The Next Motion solution is based on 3 main elements:
- A motorized engine with a dedicated dock for an iPhone or a Camera so as to realize a video traveling around the patient
- An iPhone application
- A web interface (Next Motion Connect) for the management of the content
The iPhone application & Next Motion Connect provides the user (the aesthetic professional) the ability to manage its office and, among others, to create comparable before and after videos in less than a minute, edit the videos and merge them. The application drives the engine in its travelling around the patient following custom programs (180° with or without stops, 360°, and 720°). The iPhone records the whole traveling and extracts snapshots from the video. The basic service (engine with before and after videos) is provided with a one shot price.
Functional aspects – presentation of the application and the Web Platform
In this part, the “User” designates the Aesthetic professional using the solution for professional purpose (Aesthetic professional or its Assistant).
The whole journey is presented on an overview video reachable at this address https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtmg5Y71tnw or by scanning the QR code at the right of the screen. The full training is presented on a video reachable at this address : https://youtu.be/6lYoMcUTngU, with subtitles available in your language.

and edit from the home screen.
How does it work?

Open an existing Patient file: You can select an existing Patient file by tapping directly on it. To search for an existing file, you can search by tapping in the search bar the Patient’s name. Once you have opened it, you have an access to all the Patient’s information entered:
- The List of all the treatments you have made on the Patient

– you can now create a “before video”, prior to any intervention. Place your
iPhone on the dedicated slot on the engine, make a tap on “Analyse” then
“Record new”.
Turning on your Next Motion Device & pairing with your iPhone
Pushing the metallic round button will turn on your Next Motion Device. When
the Blue light will tilt “smoothly”, it means that Your Next Motion device is
ready to pair with your iPhone. A black button allows you to shut down
completely the electronic system on 0.
Inviting the patient to take place
For face video the patient has to sit on the chair before the three steps of
standardization. For body video, the patient hides the central landmark on the
screen ; this is why the patient will take place after the angle calibration.
ALWAYS ASK YOUR PATIENTS TO NOT WALK ON THE ENGINE’S CARTER
ENSURE THAT POWERBANK SUPPLIED WITH YOUR NEXTMOTION DEVICE IS CONNECTED TO THE DEVICE DURING ACQUISITION OF ALL YOUR VIDEOS
Pairing the iPhone with the device
Select “Next Motion” – the 2 devices will be paired.
First step: positioning of the camera
Place your iPhone at the top of the frontal arm and make sure its vertical
orientation is correct. The red line has to cross the middle of the sticker
(you have positionnated your self as landmark) or has to cut the middle of
the N logo as shown on the picture below:
You also have to indicate the height of the arm by clicking on arm height at the right bottom corner, as show on the picture below:
Second step: White Balance Calibration
ALWAYS TRY TO HAVE THE MINIMUM NATURAL LIGHT WHILE YOU ARE MAKING THE WHITE
BALANCE CALIBRATION : FOR THIS, OCCUR YOUR WINDOWS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO
PREVENT NATURAL LIGHT TO ENTER IN YOUR ROOM AND TRY TO USE AMBIENT LIGHT
USUALLY USED IN YOUR CLINIC
If you don’t have the chance to have a dedicated room with only artificial light, you may always have color issues with your before & after pictures. This is caused by the natural light that is subject to change, depending on the luminosity and weather : some lamps can give you a “warm light” and pictures can appear with yellow/red tones while a cloudy day gives you a “cold light” that will make your pictures can appear with blue/green tones.
To fix these problems and ensure you to always have the same color/tint, a “White Balance Calibration” is necessary in the second step. As explained below. The White Balance Calibration is automatic. If the colors correspond to the reality you have to make a tap on Next.
If the automatic White Balance Calibration do not show the real colors following your opinion, you can use the manual calibration : Hold the grey card provided by Next Motion and display it in front of the camera lens so as to appear on the whole screen of the smartphone. After having positioned the grey card, you have to make a tap on Calibrate. Wait a few seconds and tap on Next
If the colors still need to be improved make a tap on the following button :
- WB for White Balance : Tint/Temperature.
- EX for Exposure : Compensation, Duration and ISO.
- AF for the Focus.
Unlock auto and choose your best settings
Third step: patient positioning:
To ensure that patient positioning is perfect from face and profile, on the
“before” and “after” videos, it is important to match your patient with the
mask displayed on the screen.
Facial calibration : Match your patient’s face with the mask displayed on the screen to obtain the result you need. Machine will automatically move to the right profile cross by only moving back and forth his / her head (without changing the orientation of the Patient’s face) then make a tap on confirm the facial calibration.
Profile calibration : Match your patient’s profile with the mask displayed on the screen to obtain the result you need and tap on Confirm the profile calibration.
TIP : if you want to focus your video on a specific area, for example the lips, try to set this area (lips of the patient) onto the vertical red marking line while you are doing the profile calibration : it will be easier for you to zoom on the lips on the final mounting
