NETWORK
WARNING: Observe safety regulations when using the hedge trimmer. For your own
and other persons’ safety read this manual before starting to work with the
hedge trimmer. Please keep this manual for future reference.
- Keep all body parts away from the blade. Do not attempt to move processed material or hold it close to working blade. Remove jammed material only when the tool is switched off. A moment of inattention when using the hedge trimmer may cause serious injuries.
- Keep electric tool by insulated surfaces on the handle, because the blade may get in contact with the power cord. When the blade touches live wire, voltage my appear on metal parts and cause electric shock.
- When the blade is not working, hold hedge trimmer by its handle. In transport or storage of hedge trimmer always put on the protection cover. Careful tool handling reduces risk of injuries resulting from contact with blade.
- Keep power cord away from cutting area. The power cord may be in hedge and get accidentally cut.
INSTRUCTIONS

Before use check unwound power cord against damages and wear.

Do not use hedge trimmer when the power cord is damaged or worn out.

Before connecting the hedge trimmer to a power network ensure the supply voltage matches the voltage on the rating plate of the tool.

Connect the hedge trimmer only to electrical system equipped with residual current circuit breaker that will cut the power off when earth leakage current exceeds 30 mA in less than 30 ms.

Connect the hedge trimmer only with appropriate power cord, designed for outdoor use.

If the power cord is damaged during operation, disconnect the power supply immediately.
DO NOT TOUCH POWER CORD BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE POWER SUPPLY. -
Keep unwound power cord away from cutting parts.

Do not allow children and persons not familiarized with instruction manual to operate the hedge trimmer.

Do not trim hedge when there are other persons nearby.

REMEMBER. Operator or user is responsible for any accident or emerging hazards to other persons or surrounding.
PREPARATION
- When working always wear sturdy shoes and long trousers.
- Always use personal protection measures, such as protective glasses and earmuff protectors.
- Carefully check the area where you plan to work, remove all objects that might cause damage to cutting parts of the trimmer.
- Before each use ensure the hedge trimmer blade is not damaged.
- When working hold the hedge trimmer with both hands.
- Put the extension cord for powering the hedge trimmer in the tool handle, so accidental disconnection is impossible.
USE

Work only in daylight or in very well illuminated places.

Avoid trimming wet hedges.

Always ensure you stand firmly on the ground.

Switch off the motor when carrying the hedge trimmer.

Do not use the hedge trimmer with damaged shields, body or without shields.

Ensure your limbs are away from cutting parts and switch on the motor accordingly to instruction manual.

Ensure the ventilation holes are free from obstructions.

Ensure you hold the hedge trimmer firmly with both hands before starting up the tool.

Do not keep your hands or feet close to moving parts.

Remove plug from mains socket:
– whenever you go away from the tool;
– before checking, cleaning or repairing the tool;
– after the cutting part contacts another object
– ensure the tool is not damaged. -
Only authorised persons should repair the hedge trimmer.

Use only spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.
MAINTENANCE AND STORING
- Keep in good condition all components to ensure the hedge trimmer works safely.
- To keep the operation safe, replace worn out and damaged parts.
- Protect the hedge trimmer against humidity.
- Store the tool beyond reach of children and with cutting parts shield on.
CAUTION! The design is assumed to be safe, protection measures and additional
safety systems are used, nevertheless there is always a small risk of
operational injuries.

CONSTRUCTION AND USE
Hedge trimmer is a hand-held power tool driven by a single-phase commutator
motor. The tool does not require earth lead (insulation class II). Described
hedge trimmer is designed for home garden works, such as trimming hedges,
bushes and shrubs. Any other use, that is not allowed in this instruction
manual, may cause damage of the trimmer and constitute serious risk for the
user. Hedge trimmer is designed for amateur use only.
Use the tool according to its purpose only.

PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
HAND GUARD INSTALLATION
Large, transparent hand guard protects against injuries and allows to see the
blade clearly.
• lace the hand guard (2) on the hedge trimmer body and fix with supplied
screws (fig. A).
OPERATION / SETTINGS
The mains voltage must match the voltage on the hedge trimmer rating plate.
SWITCHING ON – SWITCHING OFF
Hedge trimmer features safe switch that requires both hands to activate.
Switching on – press the switch lock button (4) and hold, then pressthe
switch button (7).
Switching off – release pressure on the switch button (7) or switch lock
button (4).
The hedge trimmer starts operation only when two buttons are pressed at the
same time, the switch lock button (4) with one hand and the switch (7) located
on the main handle (6) with the second hand. When one of the buttons is
released the hedge trimmer stops. Safety brake of the blade will stop the
blade in less than 1 second after the switch is released.
INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING SAFE USE
Before starting to work check the hedge carefully against invisible objects,
such as fence, mesh etc.
- Connect hedge trimmer to appropriate extension cord.
- Put the extension cord in the power cord holder (8) (fig. B).
- When trimming long branches perform the work gradually, by layers.
- Operate the hedge trimmer only when the hedge is dry.
- After the work is finished put the blade shield on.
TRIMMING HEDGES
- Besides trimming hedges, the hedge trimmer can also be used to trim bushes and shrubs.
- The best results can be achieved when guiding the blade so it is at an angle of approx. 15° with respect to the hedge.
- Two sided blade and counter-moving cutting parts allows cutting in both directions or swinging motion (fig. C).
- To obtain uniform height of hedge, extending a rope or a line along trimmed hedge plane is recommended. Cut branches protruding above the defined line (fig. D).
- To guide the branches into the blade, move it evenly forward or backward along the line of cutting.
- Perform hedge sides trimming in arc motions, from bottom to top (fig. E).
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug the power cord from the mains socket before commencing any activities
related to installation, adjustment, repair or maintenance.
Exercise caution due to sharp edges of cutting teeth. When not in use, the
blade shall always be protected with the blade shield.
CLEANING
- Clean hedge trimmer body and plastic parts with soft brush and cloth.
- Do not use water or agents with solvents or polishing substances.
- Remember to always keep the ventilation holes of the hedge trimmer casing clean.
MAINTENANCE AND STORING
- Check hedge trimmer against obvious damages, such as loosened or damaged blade, loose screw joints and worn out or damaged structural parts.
- Ensure guards and protection parts are not damaged and installed properly. Carry out all necessary maintenance and repair works before using the hedge trimmer.
- Clean the blade and spray preserving liquid on it after each use. When operating the tool for a long time, it is recommended to regularly lubricate the blade with thin layer of oil (fig. F).
- Check condition of blade edges.
- Store the hedge trimmer in a safe, dry place, beyond reach of children.
- Do not put any objects on the hedge trimmer body.
All faults should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the manufacturer.
