System Description
The MESH-1200 is a dual-band Wi-Fi router that can operate either as a single device or as part of an EasyMesh ecosystem. The unit supports both layer two and three operations when in controller mode. In addition, the unit can also operate as a standard Wi-Fi repeater using the 5GHz radio.

Installation instructions

Using the system default credentials
a) Find the MESH-1200 unit labeled “Controller” – The unit has a © on the unit label located on the back of the unit.
b) Connect power by plugging the provided PSU to an electric wall outlet and the barrel connection on the corresponding port on the back of the unit c) Plug on the end of the provided CAT 5E Ethernet cable in the WAN port of the unit – the WAN port is labeled BLUE –plug the other end of the cable to a free Ethernet port on the gateway/modem from the service provider
d) Take the second unit, the Agent, and power it up not more than 5 to 10 meters away from the controller
e) Connect power to the Agent unit by repeating step 2
f) Wait for the 30s
g) Press the WPS button on both Controller and Agent units at the same time, for 3 to 5 seconds
h) Wait 30 seconds.
i) Place the Agent in a convenient location (typically 20 to 30 meters away from the Controller and one or two walls in between)
j) Connect your device (phone, tablet or PC) to the EasyMesh network using the provided credentials on the Controller unit label:k) Process completed
Continue only if you require to change the default credentials. -
Setting router password and Wi-Fi credentials
This process assumes you have already completed section 1.
Using your PC, smartphone or tablet, open a browser and type http://192.168.10.1 in the search bar. If this is the first time you log in the unit will prompt you change the password.
Set the desired password and click “Set login password” or click on “Skip
password setup” and use the default password for the admin user located on the
unit label. Click “Login” to enter the WEB GUI.
Next, the wizard gives you the option to change the default EasyMesh / Wi-Fi
configuration:
The recommended configuration is to leave EasyMesh enabled. It is also
recommended, but not mandatory, to configure the same SSID for both 2.4GHz and
5GHz radio. Once the desired names and passphrases have been defined, click
“Compete” to save the configuration, or “Skip wizard” if you decide to keep
the default credentials.
After saving the configuration the Wi-Fi interface will reinitialize. If the
device you are using gets disconnected from the Wi-Fi network, reconnect or
wait until the device reconnects on its own. After the process, then the user
will be presented with the login screen.
The installation is not complete, you may close the browser and start using your Wi-Fi network.
Other settings (optional)
Role setting
The EasyMesh role function may be manually changed if necessary. To set up the
EasyMesh ecosystem two units are required, one has to be set as “Controller”
and one as “Agent.”
Set router as Controller
Navigate to “EasyMesh” > “EasyMesh settings” and click “EasyMesh enable” if
not enabled by default; select the “Controller” role and click “Save”.
Set router as Agent
Navigate to “EasyMesh” > “EasyMesh settings” and click “EasyMesh enable” if
not enabled by default; select the “Controller” role and click “Save”.
EasyMesh Status
Navigate to “EasyMesh” > “Running Topology”. The “Controller” unit will display a graphical view of the EasyMesh network, including all access points and connected devices.
